But Jude Bellingham equalized with a brilliant overhead kick in injury-time, before Harry Kane completed the turnaround in the first minute of extra-time.

“There comes a time in a tournament when you actually start believing you’re going to win it and I think this was the moment. I really do,” Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.

“They’re through to the quarter-finals, on the best side of the draw, it’s written in the stars. It’s written! We’re going to win it.

“Maybe I’m getting carried away but I don’t care, I don’t give a monkey. I’m getting carried away because I’m an England fan, I’m emotional and I love it.”

“Win or lose, I don’t think Ten Hag will be there next season,” Ferdinand stated on his FIVE YouTube channel.

“I believe the club will look elsewhere. I don’t think winning the FA Cup changes anything in the eyes of INEOS. This is just my assumption, I haven’t spoken to anyone there.”

Asked to give a combined XI of both Man United and Arsenal on the SDS podcast, Ferdinand said: “Onana because his resume tells me he is ahead of Ramsdale.

I think Ramsdale’s been a huge signing for Arsenal. [They have] needed a goalkeeper that they can rely on for a number of years now. He has been consistent. I think his all-round game is very good, and he is good with his feet.”

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has said that Arsenal looks like a serious contender for this season’s title.

Gabriel Magalhaes was right on time to turn in Bukayo Saka’s corner kick in the second half of the encounter to secure three maximum points for visiting team.

In his post match analysis the former Manchester United said he’s seeing a new Arsenal

“Are this team the real deal? There’s something there, togetherness, you can smell it in this team. The way they celebrate. There’s an authority of how Arsenal are playing under this man Mikel Arteta.

  • EPL: Ferdinand prefers Chelsea’s James to Liverpool’s Trent

EPL: Ferdinand prefers Chelsea’s James to Liverpool’s Trent

Manchester United and English Soccer legend, Rio Ferdinand, has explained his preference for Chelsea’s Reece James at the Right back position.

Ferdinand believes that James is better than Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold at the moment.

He explained that James is overall a better  Right full-back as he praised his defensive traits.

He, however, gave  Alexander-Arnold credit for his ball passing quality, he insisted that James could score more goals than his English counterpart.

When asked to choose between the two players if, hypothetically, he were to manage the England football national team in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Ferdinand said on his Vibe with Five podcasts, “This is a difficult one. We are going where we are right now.

“Reece James is ahead of Trent right now. If I’m a winger, I look at who I don’t want to play against more out of the two of them and it would be Reece.”

Ferdinand added: “I think physically he can match people defensively, and going forward is ridiculous. Trent’s passing I would say, arguably is better over varied distances, but I think Reece will score more goals. He’s in there [the penalty area] so much.

“You could play Trent there as well and he would run it and both of them can come in here [central areas]. That is the one thing, he plays this position week in and week out. Trent plays more from the right-back area coming onto things.”

  • Why Ronaldo hasn’t reported to Man Utd – Rio Ferdinand

Why Ronaldo hasn’t reported to Man Utd – Rio Ferdinand

Soccer legend and former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has given reasons  Cristiano Ronaldo has not returned for pre-season training at Old Trafford.

Ferdinand claims  that a family member of Ronaldo is having health related  issues.

The 37-year-old is yet to show up at Carrington ahead of the new season, amid talk he has requested to leave United this summer.

But Ferdinand said: “I’ve been seeing people being a touch disrespectful. The way that people are questioning ‘he’s not here’ and the hysteria surrounding it. A member of his family is not well, so he’s not at training.

“Yeah he might want to leave, he might not be happy with certain things at the football club, but in terms of professionalism, this guy is training where he is – we’ve seen the pictures.

“His family are there, he needs to be where they are and you have to respect that. Simple as. Could it have been communicated better by the club? Probably.”

Manchester United have expressed willingness to sell the forward but only to clubsides outside the EPL.

Recall that Ronaldo has pointed out that he would love to exit Manchester United based on the club’s inability to attract quality players in pre-season.

  • Rio Ferdinand predicts winner of next season’s EPL title

Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has predicted the winner of next season’s premier league title.

Manchester City have just been crowned premier league title and they have won it four times in five years.

And Ferdinand believes that Pep Guardiola’s side will retain their title for the third year running next season.

Manchester City came from 2-0 down in six thrilling minutes to beat Aston Villa 3-2 on Sunday to clinch their title in dramatic circumstances, with Liverpool finishing just a single point behind in second place.

Despite other clubs strengthening their teams and changing their managers as they start early preparation for the next season, Ferdinand still feels Manchester City are the team to beat.

Asked for an early prediction on who will win the title next season, Ferdinand said on his Vibe with FIVE YouTube show: “I’m going to go for City. I think they’ll get the three in a row; they’re looking for. I think that will happen.

“But I think what Klopp’s done has been nothing short of remarkable, to come in and change that club around. Where they were is almost like where Man United are at now.

“So if Ten Hag can come in and do like what he [Klopp] did, we’ll be looking at him as a Messiah. So I think it’s only right we do that with Klopp.”
