    Happy ending! Blue-eyed woman finally reunites with husband

    Risikat Azeez, the blue-eyed woman, who was in the news for being kicked out of her matrimonial home for her eye clolour, has now reunited with Abdul-Wasiu Omo-Dada, her husband.

    Risikat had made headlines after Wasiu allegedly sent her packing from their home alongside her two young daughters.

    Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the Kwara state first lady, had sought to help them reunite.

    On Thursday, Nigerians were stunned when fresh pictures of the couple together surfaced on social media after their much publicized marital crisis.

    Wasiu told BBC: “I’m happy that we have ended our quarrel. Things are returning to how they were before. We’re now eating together and wearing same fabric.”

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Wasiu had said his wife left home out of her own volition, adding that he started having issues with her after she started behaving waywardly towards him.

    “It was because of her eyes I married her. Her actions towards me like waywardness and telling me I wasn’t being good to her caused the trouble. But they’re not satisfied,” Wasiu had claimed.

    “They posted pictures of my children on Facebook, using them to beg for alms. They said I didn’t give them food. I couldn’t leave her because I loved her. With all the blackmail, I didn’t beat her.

     

    “I never made things hard for her. Sometimes she cooks and wouldn’t make mine. I’d get bread and attempt taking stew but she would snatch the pot. I end up dipping bread in water for dinner.”

    Risikat Azeez, a woman abandoned alongside her two daughters by her husband Wasiu Dada for having blue eyeballs has been trending on social media after pictures of her astonishing makeover sparked diverse comments.

     

    Photographer Mofe Bamuyiwa shared pictures on Instagram on Tuesday of the woman and her daughters after a makeover.

    Risikat’s husband in a chat with PUNCH had said that he had a fight with her because she was becoming naughty. He said he did not abandon them and that on the contrary he married her because of her blue eyes.

     

    “I have been providing for her and the children even to the knowledge of her parents but they were not satisfied until they posted pictures of my children on Facebook, using them to beg for alms,” he said in Yoruba.

     

    However, Risikat maintains he abandoned them after she gave birth to two daughters with same blue eyeballs. She said her husband was influenced by his parents and that he labelled her a witch because of her eyes.

     

     

     

    “Things started getting bad when I had my first child and later my second child. He totally changed and he would shut me up and walk out on me whenever I tried to start a conversation with him.

     

    “His parents even told him, ‘Will you keep on giving birth to children with this kind of eyes?’ He changed to the extent that he would leave the house for a whole week before coming back home. There was no food and no provision that I had to go to my parents’ place to feed.

     

    “My parents later asked me to leave his house. Since I left till now, he has not shown up to ask why I left or ask after me,” she said.
