Cristiano Ronaldo scored two penalties at Nou Camp as Juventus thrash Barcelona 3-0 to top Group G of the Champions League.

He won the battle of supremacy against his fierce rival, Messi, who failed to score at home against the visitors.

He sent Marc-Andre ter Stegen the wrong way and fired the penalty into the middle of the goal.

On 20 minutes, Juan Cuadrado doubled the visitors’ lead, making it 2-0.

He played a terrific cross over to Weston McKennie, who found some space inside the box and puts the ball into the back of the net.

On first half added time, Lionel Messi went down under a challenge in the box, but the referee immediately waved away the appeals from all players.

Ronaldo compounded Barcelona’s misery with a third goal for the visitor on 52 minutes.

He won the battle of wills and sent an unstoppable penalty past Marc-Andre ter Stegen into left side of the goal.

Juventus made it 4-0 on 75 minutes, but the goal was ruled offside by VAR.

Leonardo Bonucci scored the disallowed goal after an assist by Cristiano Ronaldo that allowed him to tap in the ball into an empty net.

EPL: Man Utd board stand on Ronaldo return

Manchester United insiders are cooling talk from Portugal of a move for Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Manchester Evening News says United sources are laughing off the suggestion any deal was currently being discussed.

Ronaldo’s future at Juventus has been questioned amid reports the Italian club will look to slash their hefty wage bill at the end of the season to help ease the financial losses from the coronavirus pandemic.

As their highest earner it makes sense why Ronaldo would be the one linked with an exit, although he is currently contracted to the club until the summer of 2022.

His current contract situation at Juventus means United would not only have to match his high wage demands themselves but also pay a transfer fee to secure his exit.

Manchester United are making a sensational move for Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juve are believed to be keen to offload the former Real Madrid star next summer.

United are claimed to be in talks with Ronaldo, according to well-respected FOX America journalist Christian Martin.

Ronaldo is claimed to be ‘considering’ the offer, with Juventus ‘willing to negotiate’ with United.

Martin tweeted his 400,000 followers: “Our sources in Manchester and Porto confirm that Manchester United tempted Cristiano Ronaldo with a return to the club for next season.

“The Portuguese star is considering it.

“Juventus will negotiate a deal it if Ronaldo asks for it.”

“Even if the situation is complicated for everyone, the market is a question of opportunity, beyond the planning. Sometimes extraordinary things happen. But it was not like that during the last transfer period.“

Serie A: Juve prepared to sell Ronaldo in bombshell transfer

Serie A giant Juventus are reportedly looking to sell superstar Cristiano Ronaldo at the end of the season to avoid losing him for free in 2022.

Sport says the 35-year-old, who joined the Serie A champions from Real Madrid in 2018 for €100 million, is currently on £28million a year in Turin, five times more than his highest-paid team-mate Paulo Dybala.

Juventus are keen to get the wages off their books, with the Italian giants instead looking to sell the Portuguese star, rather than offer him an extension to his deal which currently runs until June 2022.

Problems on the pitch, too, are also being taken into the equation when it comes to selling one of the world’s biggest names.

Ronaldo scored again at the weekend during Juventus’ 1-1 draw at Lazio, his sixth of the campaign to date, but he has come in for criticism of late from boss Andrea Pirlo.

Serie A: Lazio deny Juve win with last minute strike

Felipe Caicedo scored a 95th-minute equaliser as Lazio denied Juventus victory in Serie A at the Stadio Olimpico.

Caicedo turned and fired past Wojciech Szczesny in the 95th minute after great wing-play from Joaquin Correa.

They remain third, three points behind AC Milan who play Verona at 19:45 GMT.

The result will be a bitter blow for coach Andrea Pirlo and his men, who were rarely troubled by Lazio. Simone Inzaghi’s team had plenty of possession but had failed to test former Arsenal keeper Szczesny up until the goal.

Juve looked far more potent each time they surged forward. Ronaldo was again their standout player in the final third. Aside from the goal, the former Real Madrid player struck the woodwork with a shot, produced a drive that missed the post by a foot and also saw his thumping free-kick punched over the bar by Pepe Reina.

The forward was substituted with 15 minutes of the match remaining after appearing to suffer a knock in a challenge.

Lazio move up to ninth in the Serie A table with 11 points.

Serie A: Ronaldo scores twice on return from COVID-19

Substitute Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice on his return after two weeks out with Covid-19 as Juventus won at Serie A rookies Spezia.

The 35-year-old, who missed four games, slotted in to make it 2-1 three minutes after coming on in the second half.

Alvaro Morata gave the visitors the lead with a low angled strike before Tommaso Pobega equalised for Spezia.

The Turin club move up to second in the table with 12 points, four behind leaders AC Milan.

Ronaldo, who tested positive on 13 October, expressed his frustration on social media after failing to produce a negative result on the eve of his side’s Champions League match against Barcelona on Wednesday.

After finally being cleared to play on Friday, the former Real Madrid forward was named as a substitute by coach Andrea Pirlo, who brought him on in the 56th minute. Three minutes later, Ronaldo scored when he took the ball around goalkeeper Ivan Provedel.

His second, and Juve’s fourth, came 14 minutes from time after Federico Chiesa had been fouled in the area.

Andrea Pirlo reveals Juve’s Ronaldo plan

Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo says he wants to use Cristiano Ronaldo on the left of a front-three upon his return as the Serie A giant crashed to another poor result with Leonardo Bonucci suffering an injury.

The Old Lady fell to a 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona at Juventus Stadium on Sunday, needing a Dejan Kulusevski equaliser to salvage a point with 13 minutes to play, while Bonucci limped from the field in the 75th minute.

After winning their opening Serie A match against Sampdoria, Juve have now drawn matches versus Roma (2-2), Crotone (1-1) and Hellas Verona, with their only win coming when Napoli defaulted after failing to show up to match.

Pirlo was asked how he plans to fit Ronaldo into the team alongside Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata, with the Juve legend revealing he wants to use the 35-year-old in the position he dominated in for many years at Real Madrid.

“We are thinking to play them as a front-three,” Pirlo told reporters post-match. “With Ronaldo in his classic centre-left position”.
