Sad Ronaldo likely to be sacked at Man Utd – Neville

Manchester United legend Gary Neville is sorry seeing the club moving to sack Cristiano Ronaldo.

United’s lawyers are confident they have grounds to sack Ronaldo after he breached the terms of his contract by spurting out allegations against the club, the Glazers, manager Erik ten Hag and his teammates.

Ronaldo accused Ten Hag and United executives of trying to force him out of the club and said they had ‘betrayed him’. The 37-year-old also insists he had no respect for the Dutch manager before launching an attack on Ralf Rangnick.

As a result, the Glazers, chief executive Richard Arnold, football director John Murtough and Ten Hag have decided that it is time for Ronaldo to leave the club.

Neville posted to social media: “Sad that it’s come to a point where arguably United’s greatest ever talent is likely to be sacked. It didn’t need to be like this. A mature conversation a few weeks ago between both parties could have secured a smooth exit.”

Man Utd explore sacking Ronaldo without payout

Manchester United are making legal moves to sack Cristiano Ronaldo without compensation for this week’s interview with Piers Morgan.

United have begun the legal process of effectively sacking Ronaldo by tearing up his £500,000-a-week contract without paying the Portugal star a penny of the £16million he would have earned until it expired in June, says the Daily Mail.

United’s lawyers are satisfied Ronaldo has breached the terms of his contract with his explosive allegations against the club, the Glazers, manager Erik ten Hag and his teammates.

The interview aired in two parts on Wednesday and Thursday following a slew of teaser clips since the weekend.

United said earlier in the week that they would consider their response once the full facts were established, and issued a statement on Friday.

It read: “Manchester United has this morning initiated appropriate steps in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview. We will not be making further comment until this process reaches its conclusion.”

United felt they had to offer some response in the face of Ronaldo’s claims but would not comment on what the process will involve.

Premier League club Manchester United have taken down a poster outside Old Trafford that featured Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Portugal attacker’s future at the club is in serious jeopardy at present.

Ronaldo gave an unsanctioned interview to Piers Morgan, where he criticized the club, its leadership and owners, and manager Erik ten Hag.

Per the Daily Mail, a mural of Ronaldo was taken down at Old Trafford this week, marking a shift in United’s view of the player.

The Portuguese is likely to see his contract torn up by mutual consent after the World Cup.

Ronaldo and agent met with Bayern Munich officials

Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo met with Bayern Munich officials last week.

The Daily Mail says Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, met with Bayern last week after officials from the Bundesliga giants flew to England for talks.

Mendes touted Ronaldo to Bayern and a number of other clubs including Chelsea, Sporting Lisbon, and Napoli in the summer in a desperate attempt to get his star client out of United, and also spoke to Newcastle last month.

Bayern chief executive Oliver Khan confirmed in July that they had considered a move for Ronaldo, but said that he did not fit into the club’s ‘philosophy’.

The Germans were also reluctant to foot the player’s £500,000-a-week wages after paying Liverpool £35million for Sadio Mane as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski. However, Bayern have revived their interest amid concerns over Mane’s fitness and uncertainty over the future of Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

Ten Hag decided to berate and publicly humiliate Ronaldo – Morgan

Piers Morgan has defended Cristiano Ronaldo after the striker took aim at Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

The Portuguese gave an interview to journalist Piers Morgan recently, which is airing in snippets throughout this week.

Ronaldo accused United of disrespecting him, admitted he did not get on with coach Erik ten Hag, and believes he is being forced out.

Morgan stated to talkSPORT: “Cristiano loves Manchester United, he loves the fans but it’s a stagnated club and he can’t understand why not and feels he needs to speak out.

“Erik ten Hag decided to scold, berate and publicly humiliate him.

“Ronaldo feels very angry with what is going on behind the scenes.

“There is no diminishing in his ability to play football, he’s just not getting picked.

“He was offered 350million euros to go to Saudi Araba but said no – it’s not about money.

“He needs to be valued by his employers.

“Cristiano is aware what he said may mean he has to leave.

“He is a winner and wants to win big trophies.

“Do you put up with it, die a horrible silent death as Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney snipe at him or do you stand up and have your say -the interview is brutally honest, there’s more to it than people realise.

“Yes, Cristiano’s got a big ego and wants trophies.

“Ten Hag has decided to make an example of him, drop him, suspend him and not show some empathy behind the scenes.

“I find it unlikely he will stay on at Man United.”

You’re jealous of me – Ronaldo blast former teammate Wayne Rooney

Cristiano Ronaldo has blasted former teammate and DC United manager, Wayne Rooney for always criticizing him.

Ronaldo noted that his former Manchester United teammate,  Rooney is jealous of him because his career is over.

Rooney has always pointed out some negative things about Ronaldo but claims it’s constructive criticism to get the Portuguese back on track.

The Manchester United’s all-time highest goalscorer felt the Portuguese could still be an asset for the Red Devils if he ‘got his head down’.

Rooney and Ronaldo led one of the fiercest United attacks for five seasons and the former was not happy over the latter’s disregard for manager Erik ten Hag when he refused to come on as a substitute against Tottenham last month.

Recall that Ronaldo was punished bu coach Ten Hag  for storming out of Old Trafford angrily after not being used in the match against Tottenham Hotspurs.

Rooney hailed the Dutchman for stamping his feet of authority at the club and described Ronaldo’s conduct as ‘unacceptable’.

Rooney went further to suggest that United were a better team without the Portuguese forward.

And speaking in an explosive interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo hit out at Rooney over his remarks.

Speaking to Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ronaldo said: “I don’t know why he criticises me so badly… probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level.

“I’m not going to say that I’m looking better than him. Which is true….”

Ronaldo and Man Utd reach transfer agreement

Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to leave Manchester United in January when the transfer window opens.

Ronaldo has a difficult relationship with United coach Erik ten Hag at present.

He is not first choice when every player is fit, while he does not fit into ten Hag’s ideal play style.

Despite recently getting back into the team, according to Florian Plettenberg, Ronaldo and United are ready to part ways in January.

The club want to facilitate an exit for the Portuguese legend, with the Sky Sport Germany journalist claiming that Bayern attacker Erik Choupo-Moting could be his replacement.

United will be hoping to receive offers for Ronaldo on the back of the World Cup.

There is even the possibility of the forward returning to Sporting CP.

The book, Messi vs Ronaldo: One Rivalry, Two GOATs, and the Era That Remade the World’s Game, which goes into detail on his illustrious career has revealed all, according to The Sun.

It revels that Ronaldo was unhappy with interim head coach Ralf Rangnick, confessing ‘this is a disaster’ to an executive at a FIFA event.

That is just one of the things that have made life hard for Ronaldo since returning, as he was angry at the lack of investment into the Carrington training ground, while very annoyed that the club has not evolved since his departure over a decade ago.

Above all else, he also appeared very shocked at the players level of commitment to remain in top level condition.

Despite all of that, Ronaldo was United’s top goalscorer at the club last season, notching 24 goals in all competitions across 39 matches, despite still appearing a frustrated figure.

  • Man Utd perform better when Ronaldo plays – Dalot

Man Utd perform better when Ronaldo plays – Dalot

Manchester United fullback Diogo Dalot says the players are happy leaning on Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was dropped from the squad entirely for last weekend’s trip to Chelsea after refusing to come on against Tottenham on the Wednesday prior.

Erik ten Hag recalled the 37-year-old for the game against Sheriff Tiraspol and Ronaldo made a goalscoring return, scoring the third in a comprehensive 3-0 victory – securing their path to the next round of the Europa League.

Speaking after Thursday’s victory, Dalot, who has admitted his admiration for his team-mate in the past, praised Ronaldo and said that United are a stronger side with him in.

‘We are very happy to have Cristiano, yesterday he scored a goal, this is what he has been doing for 20 years now and every time he is on the pitch and every time he is helping us, we are a better team. We are just happy that he is here,’ the right-back told Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, pressed on what the scope of the conversations had been following the fallout from last week’s refusal to play, Dalot said: “Obviously everything that happened is private, we want to keep it inside the locker room. We as a team, this is what should happen.”
