Controversial music producer Samklef has said Afrobeats superstar, Davido is being disrespected way too much for trying hard to look good in everybody’s book.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that the music producer made this statement in response to the controversy trailing Davido and content creator Korty EO, who called out the singer and his team over the weekend for allegedly ordering her not to post an interview video she shot with the singer after initially granting her permission.
“They [Davido’s team] agreed that I should re-edit this video and now have said I must not post the video for reasons I still don’t understand. I am not scared of anyone, but I am wise enough to stay out of battles I’m not equipped for.
“I’ve filmed so many artists who eventually tell me not to post the video. If you don’t want people to see you for who you are, please do not come on my show. Stop wasting my time,” she wrote.
In reaction, skit maker, Nasty Blaq expressed his displeasure over the level of disrespect directed at the DMW boss, saying it is getting “way too much.”
He wrote on X, “The disrespect davido is getting is way too much sha, man just wants to help people and that’s all.”
In response, Samklef noted that Nigerian rapper Olamide helps a lot of people but never gets disrespected. He added that Davido had brought the disrespect to himself and should not have played the victim.
His post reads: “Olamide has helped alot of people than davido , why are people not disrepecting him? Davido brought it to himself! This is what happens when you are always trying to look good in the eyes of everybody! You dey help base on expectation! Base on control. I gat love for him he just need to stop playing victims.”
