    Eid-El-Kabir: Senator Manu felicitates with Muslim faithful in Taraba Central and Nigerians

    Senator Manu Haruna of Taraba Central Senatorial District felicitates with Muslim communities in Taraba and Nigerians at large on the occasion of 2025 Eid-El-Kabir.

    The former Taraba State Deputy Governor emphasized the significance of Eid-El-Kabir, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, which commemorates the unwavering faith and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to God.

    He highlighted that this occasion serves as a reminder of the values of sacrifice, compassion, and community spirit that are central to the Muslim faith.

    He said: “As we come together to celebrate this important festival, let us reflect on the lessons of sacrifice, generosity, and unity. It is a time for strengthening our bonds with family, friends, and our community, as well as extending our hands to those in need.”

    He encouraged all constituents to embrace the spirit of Eid-El-Kabir by engaging in acts of kindness and charity, fostering peace, understanding, and harmony among all people, regardless of their backgrounds.

    Manu called upon the Muslim Ummah to continue to pray for the nation, seeking divine guidance for peace, progress, and prosperity in Taraba State and across Nigeria.

    It was celebration galore on Saturday as Senator Haruna Manu hosts 21 serving Senators during his niece’s wedding fatiha in Jalingo.

    Sumayyah Adamu Manu is his elder brother’s daughter who married Muhammad Lamba Sha’ibu

    The ceremony took place at Senator Manu’s residence in Jalingo, marking a significant milestone for the family.

    During the event, H.E Sen. Aminu Tambuwal served as the representative (Wakili) for the bride, while former Senate President Sen. Ahmed Lawal acted as the representative (Wakili) for the groom Muhammad Lamba Sha’ibu

    The ceremony was filled with heartfelt prayers as Senator Manu invoked blessings from the Almighty Allah for the couple, wishing them a prosperous and harmonious union.

    The wedding was graced by the presence of various dignitaries, including twenty one (21) senators Senators across the country, Honourable Member House of Representatives, Traditional rulers among others, who joined in celebrating this momentous occasion.

    Senator Manu expresses gratitude to all who attended and contributed to making the day memorable.

    HEALTHCARE: Senator Manu Distributes delivery beds and gynaecology tables across 54 wards+Photos

    Senator Manu Haruna on Monday facilitated the distribution of delivery beds and gynaecology tables such as General Hospitals, Referrals Hospitals and Primary health care Centres across the 54 ward of Taraba Central Senatorial District.

    The Senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial at the National Assembly considers medicare and power generation as a core mandate for his constituents.

    This initiative is apparently designed to ease maternity matters across his district.

    Recall that last year, during cholera outbreak, Senator Manu immediately provided equipment to conduct tests in the district.

    Also in 2024 various medical outreach were carried out by the tireless Senator.

    His provision with hospital beds, gynaecology tables, refrigerators, wheelchairs, and essential medications to the five LGAs will significantly enhance medical facilities and strengthen healthcare delivery, incollaboration with (NPHDA)

    The distribution effort, led by Rt. Hon. Simon Dogari, the DG Campaign Council of Senator Manu and was supported by key stakeholders, including:

    This intervention will directly benefit hospitals and health centers, ensuring that residents receive better medical care and improved healthcare support.

    Gov Kefas appoints Senator Manu chairman committee for Mobilisation of Devt and Investment

    Governor of Taraba state, Dr Agbu Kefas has appointed a seasoned administrator, Senator Manu Haruna as Chairman Committee for Mobilisation of Development and Investment.

    This was contained in a release signed by the Secretary to the State Government Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps on Saturday.

    Senator Manu who represents Taraba Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly was a two term deputy governor of Taraba and currently he is the deputy chairman Senate committee on Local and Foreign Debts.

    He is also the deputy chairman Senate committee on Public Procurement and was one time deputy chairman HoR committee on Banking and Currency in the 8th Assembly.

    He’s expected to showcase his vast experience in driving the committee to greater heights of excellence.

    Recall that last Friday, Governor Kefas had convened critical stakeholders in Abuja where a memorandum of understanding was signed with Chinese engineering and construction giant CCECC.

    The Senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Manu Haruna has hailed Governor Agbu Kefas bold move to transform Taraba state into an industrial hub in the north east geo-political zone of Nigeria.

    Speaking at the sidelines during the critical stakeholders confab with CCECC in Abuja on Friday convened by the tireless governor, Senator Manu said:

    “I commend our governor for this bold move towards making Taraba a major distributor of renewable energy, food and industrial enhancement in our region and by extension the entire country.

    He said the governor’s move is second to none as the three critical pillars being canvassed are essential for the state’s growth: energy development, infrastructural enhancements, and initiatives aimed at securing food and economic stability.

    The former Taraba deputy governor explained that: “There’s no doubt in my mind that the governor has all it takes to turnaround our dear state within a short period.

    “This is a commendable move that must be pursued vigorously by all stakeholders as I equally hail CCECC a global engineering outfit with an impeccable track record for signing this MoU with Taraba State Government.

    The former Deputy Governor of Taraba state also thanked the State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas for providing a free level playing ground for all contestants.

    Manu described the new executives as political grassroots mobilisers who deserve to run the various PDP wards across the state

    Manu applauded Governor Kefas for ensuring a level playing field playing ground that facilitated a free, fair, and transparent election.

    The Senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District, Senator Haruna Manu and prominent sons of Taraba State at the weekend bagged various traditional titles.

    Apparently appreciating their unflinching support for the development of their immediate vicinity and Taraba State in general they were celebrated with the titles by the chiefdom.

    In a colourful ceremony held in Kwararrafa Chiefdom, of Gassol local Government Area, Senator Manu, Sen. Bako, Hon. Aruwa, and Hon. Nanu were honored with the traditional titles.

    The recipients expressed their gratitude and vowed to continue working for the betterment of the chiefdom and its people.

    Budget 2024: We’ll adequately address all procurement matters – Senator Manu

    Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Procurements, Senator Haruna Manu has said all procurement matters as contained in the 2024 budget will be adequately addressed to the benefit of all Nigerians.

    Senator Manu who represents Taraba Central Senatorial District made this assertion after the budget was presented by the Executive arm of Government on Wednesday at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.

    He disclosed that “as it’s the usual thing, the 2024 budget will be properly x-rayed and examined by the National Assembly in conformity with international best practices with the sole aim of capturing all Nigerians.

    “We do understand the situation Nigerians are facing presently and that’s why we shall leave nothing unfinished to ensure that the ‘renewed agenda’ of President Bola Tinubu does not collapse.

    “If it collapses it will equally affect lawmakers and the generality of Nigerians that we represent as you are aware this is representative democracy.

    “This time around we must carefully handle matters in such a way that there will be no leakages that will eventually haunt us at our various constituencies.

    The immediate past Deputy Governor of Taraba State who’s also the deputy chairman Senate Committee on Domestic and Foreign Debts also spoke on what the committee will do to give Nigeria a safe landing.

    He said:” The committee on Domestic and Foreign Debts is looking at the various loans and examining them line by line at the same time studying the good, the bad and the ugly debts.

    “The tenth Assembly is barely six months old but we are not taking anything to chance as one day not adequately handled is minus one day from our designated four-year tenure.

    “At the appropriate time, these volumes of debts will be looked into properly and ways and means that will eventually benefit Nigerians will be properly addressed.

    Senator Manu explained that:” All senators recently went for a retreat on budget management put together by the Senate leadership, it was a refreshing experience for us all.

    “The experience garnered at the retreat has repositioned senators on rudiments of budget processes which you know very well will help us allocate scarce resources to all Nigerians.
