Toke Makinwa has schooled a Twitter user on the importance of men having confidence in themselves to woo their desired woman despite her wealth.
This came after the user, who was concerned about her relationship status, tweeted that she might be scaring men away from her because of her wealth.
In her response, the author and beautician said, “A strong woman should make you proud of her, knowing that if anything happens she has all it takes to get down and fix shit. If she intimidates you, you are weak and simply short sighted,” she wrote.
“A strong woman should not intimidate you, a powerful woman should excite you, push you out of your comfort zone and make you want to be more.”
Aunty Toke men might be scared approaching you because ur pretty wealthy and famous they might feel u would not submit when u become a wife u know how African men are insecurity problems

Late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s son, Seun Kuti, has stated that his father’s music his for everyone, but not his legacy.
The outspoken musician took to his Instagram page on Friday, October 26, 2018, where he recounted the hardship his family went through under the military regime in Nigeria. “Whatever you think Fela went through, he went through with his family. We were his rock. My mother used to tell me bedtime stories about all the scars on her. My step mum, Najite was the first person the soldiers saw in kalakuta, she was swimming, they picked her up by her head from the pool and broke her neck!! My mother had a broken bayonet stitched into her and she couldn’t walk for 18months. The amount of state-sanctioned violence I have seen in my life as a child. “When I was 9 I saw the cops shot and kill one of my dads boys in front of shrine and just left him there for nothing. Fela tried to protect us but u can’t protect anyone from that! You know these fucking cops would come to our house and just shoot up the place at least 2ice a week? Do y’all know that? Or u think this is just play play? See Fela’s music is a gift for the world and everyone is welcome but our legacy is ours alone, to protect and nurture. Y’all fakers stay waaaaay back. This isn’t your space. #getthesax,” he wrote.
Seun who is fast gaining the reputation for expressing his opinions about issues pertaining to his family, recently said a lot of singers want to become Fela but cannot make the sacrifices he made.
The music star and son to the late music icon made this known via his Instagram page on Monday, October 15, 2018
“People will never understand you without going through the education you have tried to promote. Every Tom Dick And Ashy is the new Fela just because they want to smoke igbo and chase women. How about the sacrifice? How about duty? They want to be Fela and at the same time be the darlings of all the oppressors. All these new Fela’s and those possessed by his spirit hobnobbing with white supremacists”.
Seun Kuti has slammed Kanye West over claiming that Fela’s spirit flows through him’.
The American rapper drew a comparison between himself and the Afrobeat legend in a video posted on Twitter.
In the video titled ‘Mind Control’, the rapper talked non-stop about different things that he is not allowed to do, say and feel.
He said: “I am in Africa recording. The music is the best on the planet. I am the best living recording artiste… we, rather, because the spirit flows through me. The spirit of Fela, the spirit of Marley, the spirit of Pac flows through me.
“We know who the best is.”
Seun Kuti in his reaction wrote: “On behalf of the Kuti family, I want to state that the spirit of Olufela Anikulapo Kuti isn’t anywhere near Kanye West”.
In the video, West also talked about how high is IQ level is and how it hurts him physically when he is being told what to do.
He said: “People trying to tell me what to do. I feel like they are touching my brain. That’s how it hurts me when people tell me what to do.
“People on social media. People trying to control my mind. It’s like a modern day psychological mind control.
The rapper also whined about his “big house” that “just never finished”.
He said: “It’s just costing money after money after money.”
Recall that in 2017, West was treated for bipolar disorder after he suffered mental exhaustion.

Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has taken to his Instagram page saying he is never buying expensive clothes for his kids again.
The singer shared his frustrations via his Instagram page on Monday, August 13, 2018, where he posted a photo of his cute daughter wearing a really beautiful dress.
He wrote: “I remember this day very vividly. Never buying expensive clothes for my kids. Can’t tell u how much I bough that effing dress she’s wearing. These brands are sucking the life out of black people!! The attachment to the ‘brand’ and ‘branding’ still has the same effect as slavery trust me. Gucci gang naaaah more like Gucci’s slave.
“Well back to my personal rant. Now I asked @chefyeide for it and she says. Haba, she is four now she can’t fit in it anymore, whaaaaaaat really? For that price this dress should grow with @adarakuti if that’s not the case GET THE SAX”.
The singer and activist on June 4, 2018, via his Instagram said it is pointless picking up PVCs when we Nigerians don’t even know who they are voting for.
“Shouting GET YOUR PVC UPANDAN. WHAT ARE WE VOTING FOR? My brother my sister not voting in a system that fails to represent you isn’t a lack of participation. It only becomes that if you are not actively building the system you want outside of the oppressive state. PVC na person contract ooo if u don’t collect dem sef no go collect bar, hence the advert not because it helps us”.
Afrobeat artiste, Seun Kuti has lamented over not having everyone’s support when he started doing music over 20 years ago.
The talented saxophonist said from the day his father passed on, only a handful of people ever believed in him. He added that even family and friends gave his career a lifespan.
A sober Seun took to his Instagram page to share his story.
“Let me tell you guys how I started. From the day my father died, only a handful of people ever believed in me. In fact family friends and press used to give my career a time span, first it was 2 then it was 5 then it was 7 but it’s been 20 years now. So I have never been one who moved forward with massive support. Not from the public nor in private. I am a man that is propelled by conviction and responsibility. I don’t care about being liked and I surely don’t care about supporters club! I am proud of my dna. I am proud that the dominant gene in my parents union is that of my father. I am proud of his sacrifice and that of those before him. I am proud of all his characteristics and understand all his decisions. I AM MY FATHER’S son”, he said.
Seun Kuti was born on January 11, 1983, to the music legend and Nigeria’s biggest music export, Fela Anikulapo Kuti. He was known to have always been around his father from his early age. His music influence began after it was reported that he told his father that he wanted to sing for him at the tender age of 9.
No doubt, cybercrime is an image nightmare for Nigeria.
Nigerian fashion influencer and blogger, Noble Igwe stirred the hornet’s nest when he disclosed that record label owners, car dealers and club owners in Lagos are major fraud fronts in the country, calling the attention of EFCC to them.
This led to countless online debates on the issue, with celebrities also lending their voices.
Seun Kuti, Afrobeat musician has expressed his opinion on the subject matter. Seun noted that what ‘Yahoo boys’ spend their money on, is to acquire products made by the western world in order to seek validation through them.
In his Facebook post, Seun wrote: “Wetin yahoo boy dey take money do? No be to buy expensive white man things? Lol. If they weren’t busy buying White man drink but building their communities maybe just maybe, I will see dem but I don’t.
“Steal white man’s money and the only way u can express that wealth is too seek validation by consuming the most expensive white man things and u say u are a Gee? All Yahoo boys are Mugus for whitey still, dem be learner. Wait that 100k u used 3 months to set the job how long did it take Gucci to collect it back? MUGU. Until we can express our success outside of white validation thru their brands and luxury items of status and class, U STILL BE MUGU.
Politician and yahoo boy only want to oppress with their wealth. #sameni
Bank md and yahoo boy love luxurious life #sameni
All the elites and yahoo boys don’t give a fuck about community”
Following the ban of codeine by the Federal Ministry of Health through the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, Nigerian Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti has reacted to the ban.
The Afrobeat star and socio-political critic said the ban will not affect the supply of the drug.
According to him:” Igbo has been banned since forever (unjustly) but e still dey everywhere. The reactionary ban of codeine by the FG only means drug dealers will make more money from it. It can’t affect supply.”
The Minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole said the directive became necessary due to the gross abuse of codeine in the country. In its stead, the Minister said cough syrups containing Codeine should be replaced with dextromethorphan which is less addictive.
NAFDAC was also directed to fully carry out its functions among others: to regulate and control the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of drugs, including inspection at points of entry of drugs, drug products and food for compliance with the new directive.
The apple does not fall far from the tree. This aphorism comes to mind when one thinks of Seun Kuti’s latest achievement. The son of the legendary Afrobeat king, Fela Kuti has surged up to number 8 on the Billboard World Music Chart. His acclaimed fourth album, ‘Black Times’ earned him the spot on the Billboard music charts.
“Debut No 8 in the billboard world music chart. My first ever album to get in the charts,” Seun wrote on Instagram.
“Fehintola and Fela come and see ur son oooooo! Thanks for ur support Struggle people. Thanks to my label K7 and STRUTT” he declared.
The album features Carlos Santana and Robert Glasper.
When asked about the new album project , Seun said: “Black Times is a true reflection of my political and social beliefs. It is an album for anybody who believes in change and understands the duty we have to rise up and come together. The elites always try to divide the working class and the poor people of the world. The same oppression felt by workers in Flint, Michigan is felt by workers in Lagos and Johannesburg.”
‘Black Times’ contains songs like Corporate Public Control Department (CPCD), African Dreams and Last Revolutionary featuring Yasiim Bey (the artist formerly known as Mos Def) and Nai Palm.
This is not the first time a Nigerian musician will be surging up on the Billboard World Music Chart.
King Sunny Ade’s Synchro System was number 91 on the Billboard Pop Album Chart in 1983. While Fela Anikulapo-Kuti’s album, Live In Detroit, was number 9 on Billboard World Music Album Chart in 1986.
Dr Alban’s It’s My Life was number 3 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music Club Play chart, number 4 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales chart, number 28 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart and number 88 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1992. (This song was also used in adverts and soap operas in the UK, Germany and India).
Lagbaja’s We Before Me was number 15 on the Billboard World Music Album Chart in 2001.
Asa’s Beautiful Imperfection album was number 3 on the Billboard World Album chart in 2011, while Wizkid made the number 97 spot on the Billboard 100 Artistes Chart in May 2016.
