  • Man splits wife’s head for denying him sex

A Ghanaian farmer, Kofi Abraham, 38, is currently on the run after he allegedly split his wife, Nana Yaa’s head for denying him sex.

According to Adom Online, the body of the 34-year-old woman was found on Monday morning and retrieved by the police.

The Assin Fosu District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Leonard Abakah, said the police got a report from a friend of the suspect, Kofi Abraham that he had found the body of Nana Yaa.

The friend told the police that he received a telephone call earlier in the morning from Kofi Abraham that he (Kofi Abraham) had mistakenly locked up his nine-year-old son in his room and taken the keys away.

Chief Superintendent Abakah said the friend went to the house and broke the door only to find the boy sitting near the corpse of his dead mother.

Items found at the crime scene includes machete, pick axe and shovel with blood stains.

  • How I turned down a $100,000 sex offer- Eshun

Renowned Ghanaian singer, Eshun has recounted how she turned down a $100,000 with strings attached.

Sharing her ordeal in the Ghanaian music industry, the singer narrated how an investor promised her $100,000 to support her music, but wanted sex in exchange for the support.

Speaking during an interview with Ghana’s Classic Fm, she said:” I had somebody call me, I don’t know him from anywhere, and he’s like, I’ve seen your work, I like you, I’ve checked your Instagram handle and how it’s going so how can he invest into my career and, so, I told him to talk to my boss so that he sees where he can come in.

“I believed everything got down to money because whatever it is, you’ll need money, whether is TV or radio, whatever it is, and he was like money is not a problem for him and that he’s willing to invest $100,000, I was super excited.I was happy, but we had been waiting for long for the money, we spoke but he didn’t really mention the money, so one day, I was like, I wanted to ask him if the money was coming any time soon or he just want to us to wait a bit.

“He then told me the money is not a problem but before he gives me the money, he would like to spend the weekend with me in Dubai.”

“I was like: are you saying until that happens the money won’t come? He was like not really but then he wants to show me some things and that is the place he will like to take me after, he can give me the money.

“I asked him: So, is that the condition, no, I don’t think this sounds right. Initially, when he called he should have mentioned that I wouldn’t even have given him attention, so I just backed off,” eShun revealed.

  • Naturally determining sex of our babies [2] – Francis Ewherido

    By Francis Ewherido

Do not be surprised that we are still on this matter. Besides companionship, which God decreed as the primary reason for marriage, procreation comes next. And many people would love to have things their way, so the continuing interest in the pre-selection of the sex of babies is understandable. Today, we are going to deal with two questions, the fallout from last week’s article.

Our first respondent wants to know how people were able to give birth to between five and 10 children of same sex in those days, when the knowledge on pre-selection was not available. Was it co-incidence? I come from a family of eight males, no female. I asked my mother how they did it. Was it planned? She said it was not, that it just happened.

Now this is what I suspect could have happened in all these multiple births of same sex babies. Remember we identified two types of vaginal environments last week: the friendly alkaline and the hostile acidic environments. For those who had all males, I suspect they had a hostile environment. You remember we said last week that the sperms survive for a shorter time in a hostile environment. Let us assume, for the sake of our analysis here, two days. The implication is that for the woman to conceive, intercourse must take place around ovulation. In such a situation, the sperms carrying X chromosome stand no chance. The faster sperms carry the Y chromosome would reach and fertilise the released egg or ovary before the sperms with the X chromosome get to the egg. And if intercourse takes place three or more days before ovulation, the hostile acidic vaginal environment would probably have killed all the sperms, leaving no sperms, not even the enduring sperms carrying the X chromosome, to fertilise the egg.

As for the couples, who had all female children, two reasons could have been responsible: timing and friendly vaginal environment. I suspect that intercourse was always taking place three or more days before ovulation and the released sperms had a field day because the environment was very friendly. Consequently, the sperms carrying the Y chromosome, which are faster but have a shorter lifespan, died before the egg was released, leaving the slower, but more enduring sperms, carrying the X chromosome to fertilise the egg. The result of sperm with X chromosome and the egg, which invariably carries the X chromosome, is a baby girl.

These are my educated guesses and if I am right, it is not surprising that some women in those days had 12 male children. Their vaginal environment was probably very acidic, so they stood very little chance of having female children, try as some of them did. In the case of those with only female children, their inability to know their days of ovulation was their challenge, not necessarily their friendly vaginal environment, because that key knowledge of the day of ovulation would have put them in the driver’s seat of pre-selecting the sex of their children. But then, these are the assumptions of a non-medical professional.

    • The second question, how can women with irregular periods accurately predict ovulation? We mentioned them last week. First, the thick slimy vaginal discharge, which is like phlegm or egg white, is unmistakable and markedly different from the discharge prior to and after ovulation. Here all the woman needs is regular monitoring. Also the sharp pain on the side or lower abdomen is also unmistakable for some women. They notice it once the egg is released, indicating the beginning of ovulation. Three, some women also have a heightened sense of smell during ovulation. There is a common conversation among couples: wife: “what’s smelling here?” Husband smells the air and responds, “I can’t smell anything.” Wife: “your nostrils are blocked.” Unknown to some women, they are ovulating.
    • Incidentally, smell is a very powerful tool to know when ovulation occurs. That is how many males in the animal kingdom know when their females are in heat or in season (ovulating). Animals predict ovulation with stunning accuracy. It is somewhat ironic that humans, who are higher creatures, lag behind in this department. May be, that is God’s way of ensuring that we have a fairly balanced population of men and women. If everybody understood natural sex selection, the world’s population would be lopsided in favour of one sex and you know the sex.
    • Four, during ovulation, some women experience soreness of breast. Even slightly touching their breasts causes pains. Some others experience tenderness in their breasts and can easily get sexually aroused with sucking or touch. Five, some women experience increase in the normal (basal) body temperature.
    • Six, due to hormonal changes during ovulation, some women experience increased libido. This is always a trap for women, who practice natural family planning and have no plans for babies at that time. The desire to engage in intercourse is high during this period. Some couples gamble: “nothing go happen,” they console themselves, knowing pregnancy can occur. Some of the unplanned male children you see in families were given birth to at such times, because intercourse then invariably results in a male child.
    • To be doubly sure, some women combine two or more of these signs to know their ovulation period. But if you are still confused, then you have to do the more reliable daily charting of vaginal discharge. There is a popular book on it; you can send me an email for the name.

Who will save Nigerians from DISCOS

In the face of dwindling resources and receding purchasing power, many Nigerians are groaning under the weight of crazy bills from power distribution companies. What does it take to make pre-paid meters available to all electricity consumers, so that every household can be in control of their electricity expenses?

It is so painful seeing your neighbours with more electrical gadgets, but with pre-paid meters, paying less than you do. A family travels for a month and is welcomed with the same N30,000 monthly bill they were paying while their residence was occupied. In a whole month, you get electricity cumulatively for seven days, yet DISCOs bill you as if you have had power supply for the whole month. Some neighbourhoods have not had electricity supply for months, yet they are being forced to pay for electricity.

In spite of all the messages you get in respect of consumer rights, consumers are helpless when it comes to electricity billings. The government and its agencies should come to the aid of Nigerians.

Why I cannot do without sex in a day- Mercy Little Smith

When it comes to the issue of sex, some entertainers don’t hesitate to state how much they just love to get down to it.

Curvy Ghanaian actress, Mercy Little Smith has revealed that she cannot do without having sex in a day.

She made this known in an interview on Accra FM.

The “Efiewura” actress said she doesn’t feel comfortable without sex in a day and went on to list the three things she can never stay away from in a day.

“ I drink water, food, and sex. Plus size ladies are happy with sex because the body is big and any part of the body you touch gets us to feel for sex.My best sex position is ‘Doggy Style’, with that position I bounce well and kneel down and that is what brings out the best in me as a woman in bed “ she stated.

When asked if her well rounded bum gets the attention of men, she said it attracts the attention of men to the extent that about 15 to 20 men attempt to woo her daily.

  • Why I chose to abstain from sex- Bolanle Olukanni

Bolanle Olukanni endeared herself to the Nigerian television audience through her seeming innocence and girl-next-door demeanour on the MTN Project Fame show.

Since then the svelte beauty has carved a niche for herself in the Nigerian media space, with her side gig on Moments with Mo, as well as her show,On the Carpet with Bolinto and her social impact documentary ‘Gods’ Wives’ drawing attention to the plight of widows.

The outspoken media gal however stunned her followers on Instagram when she revealed that she is celibate.

According to her:”I have not been in too many relationships and they have all been cool and decent. I have always known that I wanted to save myself for marriage like I didn’t want to have sex until I was married. Life happens and sometimes it works and sometimes it didn’t but I do know that now I am abstaining from sex. When I am in a relationship with someone it helps when sex is off the table.

“Sex can cloud your judgement when you are in a relationship with someone. My first kiss was when I was 18 and I remember saying this is a lot. Sex creates a bond with someone that should be saved for marriage. I guard my mind, I don’t watch movies that have scenes in them. The reason why I do that is that I don’t want to stimulate myself, I don’t want to be horny and be looking for someone to have sex with”.

Her video has triggered mixed reactions from Nigerians on social media.

  • Why I demanded five rounds of sex from female student – Dismissed OAU professor

Dismissed professor of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, Richard Akindele has explained his side of what transpired between him a female student of the institution in a sex-for-mark scandal.

Recall that Akindele, a professor of Management Accounting was recently dismissed after being found guilty of sexual harassment of a postgraduate student of the institution, Monica Osagie.

In his reply to a query issued to him by the university, embattled Akindele explained that the five rounds of sex demanded from Monica, as revealed by the leaked audio conversation between them, was a deliberate attempt to discourage the student and at the same time invite her to his office to obtain evidence.

Akindele said the demand for five days of sex was a deliberate attempt to play along with the student. The university did not, however, buy his argument and dismissed the professor.

The reply was exclusively obtained and published by New Telegraph.

    How it all happened

The institution was enmeshed in a scandal in April after a leaked phone recording exposed Akindele seeking sex from Osagie to pass her in an examination.

In the audio, the professor, requested five rounds of sex from Ms Osagie, then a master’s student of the institution.

The university initially suspended Akindele indefinitely, following an interim report of its investigation.

However, after a full-fledged investigation, he was permanently dismissed in June.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, said the conclusion was reached after the investigative panel found Akindele guilty of inappropriate relationship with the student, a claim to which he admitted.

The vice chancellor said the dismissal of Akindele will serve as deterrent to others as “the university has taken further steps to ensure total elimination of sexual harassment in the OAU community.”

    Akindele’s evidence

Evidences submitted by the professor to the investigative panel include screenshots of WhatsApp conversations including nude pictures Osagie.

Akindele claimed that the two photos, an alleged screenshot of Ms Osagie’s private part, were sent to him to arouse his sexual pleasure.

According to the WhatsApp messages presented by the dismissed professor, Osagie had allegedly initiated conversation with him (Akindele) at about 5:52 a.m. on Sunday, February 25, declaring her interest in him. She then sent him seductive messages, including nude photos.

    Read Akindele’s response below:

“I know the lady in the audio recording to be an MBA regular student. I recall sometimes in November 2017 when she came to my office in company of some of her other MBA students/colleagues to inform me they failed a course that I took with another lecturer and pleaded that they should be upgraded. But I informed them that it was not possible because the result has been submitted and approved by the department. They left my office, but the lady returned alone to my office some few minutes after they had left begging me to upgrade her to an “A.” She confessed that she did not fail the course, but that she had two other courses in the Department that she failed (not any of which that I am involved) but that she would need an “A” in my own course to boost her CGPA to get to an average of 50 to enable her obtain an MBA Degree.

“I promptly turned down her request. She knelt down and held my legs pretending to be begging me, but was actually romancing me. I shouted at her to stop her madness, but she immediately stood up, raised her gown up to cover her face and I noticed she was not wearing any pant.

“I was afraid she could shout to attract other people and it may be difficult for me to defend myself of sexual assault. So I had to gently tell her to calm down and that we will do it five times on another day and place to which she agreed and gently left my office. I had to do that to save myself from any possible accusation of sexual assault which may be difficult to prove if she had shouted on that day. Of course, she attempted calling me at other times and seeing me after that day, but I kept avoiding her.

“Since then, she kept sending messages to me regularly describing how good she is in bed and how badly she needs to sleep with me and get an “A” in the course, all of which I resisted.”

Akindele further explained that the day the leaked phone call was recorded, he had deliberately played along because on the said day, two unknown vehicles with unidentified men and a lady suspected to be Osagie trailed him from OAU campus to Moro Campus, where the MBA programme was being run.

He said: “On that fateful morning, I left my office on campus for Centre for Distance Learning (CDL), Moro to go for the MBA lecture. As I was driving out of the university, I noticed two vehicles following… I was somehow scared and wondered what the occupants in the cars were up to. While still wondering, my phone rang and it was the lady in question calling, but I did not pick. When the phone rang the third time, I picked and sensing danger with cars behind me, I decided to play along with her request, and that was what led me to demand five times of sex and for her to come to my office.

“I have evidence and proof that she naked herself and harassed me sexually and I have a naked picture she sent to my WhatsApp contact, pressing that she wanted to have sexual intercourse with me. I have known this lady to be a bad behaved lady and as if she is a psychotic person….”

Akindele said if truly he had wanted to sleep with the student, he would not have demanded five times of sex rounds at a go, saying dating a girl would not ordinarily begin with the request for five times.

The dismissed professor said it was only unfortunate that the girl was faster in implicating him.

One of the WhatsApp message exchanges the professor shared with the panel reads thus:

Osagie: So ure awake by dis tym. Dis will b a good time to giv u a blowjob

    Akindele: Yes. Meaning?

    Osagie: Suck ur cock.

    Akindele: Haa

Osagie: Stop saying haa. So wen u are wit a woman u just climb on her nd finish?

    Akindele: Huuuu

Osagie: Just saying. Mayb we can try d 69 position 1 day.

    Akindele: Meaning

Osagie: Dis one is ur assignment google and find out wat it means.

Later, Prof. Akindele sent two pictures wishing her (Osagie) happy Sunday and saying good morning. But enraged by these messages from the lecturer, the student replied as follows:

Osagie: Are u kiddin me. I thought u were goin 2 send me pictures of a man suckin a girl’s pussy while she sucks the man’s dick.

    Akindele: Ok.

Osagie: No, it is not okk, let me send u mine but you won’t show anybody ooo

    Akindele: Ok.

    Osagie: Promise?

    Akindele: Yes.

Following this pledge, Osagie sent in pictures of her private parts and followed with other conversations.

…as Osagie turns down further interviews

New Telegraph’s effort at getting comments from Osagie were unsuccessful. She refused to comment on the matter, querying reasons behind the introduction of the evidences at this stage.

Speaking through her counsel and Executive Director, Women Advocates, Research and Documentation (WARDC), Abiola Akiode-Afolabi, Ms Osagie accused the media of attempting to wage a media war against her, saying she had been traumatised enough to warrant another round of public disgrace.

According to Ms Akiode-Afolabi, the university has exonerated Ms Osagie after reviewing all evidences tendered before it, and so she would not tolerate any fresh facts, which she described as an afterthought.

She said: “Which fresh facts again? Did you see the school’s conclusion? Because the school came to the conclusion that she did not harass the man. Where did you now get your own facts? I hope it is not that the media want to feed fat on this story.

“But if you have facts, disclose now but we won’t hesitate to go to court o. This is because the girl has been embarrassed a lot and so if you people bring it up again and embarrass her, we would not take it lightly. She cannot comment on this matter any longer because the case is even before the court. So she cannot start denying anything. If you guys have anything, bring it out.

“The school did a fact-finding of three levels and came to the conclusion that she didn’t harass anybody.

“I am aware of all these messages you are saying, but please check your facts very well and look at the time you want to be bringing them out. So I am not going to speak to you on this, if you have your facts, bring them out and we will reply at the appropriate time. If we need to go to court, we will go to court.”

    VC’s response

In his response to enquiries from New Telegraph, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, confirmed that the institution received the seductive messages by Ms. Osagie to Mr Akindele as part of the lecturer’s responses to his query, but that they were not sufficient enough to exonerate him.

According to Ogunbodede, the evidences showed that the two were found culpable, but that in the circumstance, there was a weaker partner and a stronger partner.

“Prof. Akindele provided information that Osagie sent him nude pictures, but the panel did not consider that as sufficient justification for his actions and inaction.”

The don added that all laid down procedures were followed before reaching the conclusion.

He explained that the panel had also considered punishing Ms. Osagie, but found out that she was no longer the university’s student because she had overstayed on her MBA programme and so had lost her studentship.

The VC said: “Let me tell you that the university was not silent on the lady. If you read the press release, you would see that we really mentioned something relating to her in the report, but lecturers are supposed to act ‘in loco parentis’ for students. Even though Prof. Akindele provided the nude pictures, the right thing for him to do would have been to report her to appropriate authorities. And even as a stronger partner, Prof. Akindele had every right to discipline the student.

“And honestly, if our student had also been found culpable, the ideal thing would be to discipline the student. But in this case, this lady is no longer with us. The lady came for a programme, but she did not complete her programme within the stipulated time, and so she is not a registered student of our school. As at the time the issue came up, she was trying to resolve her failed courses, but could no longer come in to register. So the situation would have been different if she was our student. But in this case, the lady is not entitled to our certificate.”

  • Russia 2018 : Germany players banned from sex, using social media

Germany coach, Joachim Low, has banned his players from having sex during this summer’s World Cup.

Low does not want the players’ partners ruining his preparations in Russia, with players forced to ask for special permission to see their other halves and even their children.

But they will be banned from such contact during the tournament.

Social media will also be prohibited for the likes of Mesut Ozil, Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller and Marco Reus.

According to Gazetta dello Sport, Low will however allow the holders to drink, to help boost team spirits, with the boss insisting: “The team is more important than the ego.”

Germany have started their preparations for the World Cup by training in South Tyrol, in north-east Italy this week.

Manuel Neuer is fighting for fitness ahead of the tournament after only managing four appearances for Bayern Munich last season due to a metatarsal injury.

Neuer has been involved in session with Bernd Leno, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Kevin Trapp and is battling the trio for three goalkeeper places on the plane.

“I’m in good shape,” Neuer, who will play 45 minutes next week, said after training.

“I think the coaches are very happy, the fitness coaches, too. They’ve got me in great condition. I’m not holding back, that’d be bad advice for a goalkeeper.”

They open their friendlies with a clash with Austria on Saturday before taking on Saudi Arabia a week on Friday.

Germany are in Group F with Mexico, South Korea and Sweden – getting their campaign off and running against the Mexicans on June 17.

  • What Don Jazzy said about sex

When it comes to talking about sex, some stars are a little more candid than others. The issue of sex is not a subject matter everyone is comfortable taking about in the public glare.

Nigerian music producer and founder of Mavin Records has shared his thoughts about sex. The influential entertainer noted that sex is not all that important if partners cannot lay on the bed and talk about issues.

The outspoken entertainer wrote on Twitter: ”Sex isn’t all that if we can’t just lay down on the bed and talk about stuffs. Pick each other’s brains on issues that matter. Let me know something about you other than your beauty and skills in the other room”.

Recall that Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph recently shared the weirdest place she has ever had sex.

“I once had sex in an uncompleted building”, the curvy entertainer said in an interview.

  • 240,000 Indian girls killed through sex-specific abortions annually – Study

240,000 Indian girls killed through sex-specific abortions annually – Study

Almost a quarter-of-a-million girls younger than five die in India every year due to neglect resulting from society’s preference for sons, a gender discrimination study found on Tuesday.

This was over and above those aborted simply for being female, researchers wrote in The Lancet medical journal.

“Gender-based discrimination towards girls doesn’t simply prevent them from being born, it may also precipitate the death of those who are born,” said study co-author Christophe Guilmoto of the Paris Descartes University.

“Gender equity is not only about rights to education, employment or political representation, it is also about care, vaccination, and nutrition of girls, and ultimately survival.”

Guilmoto and a team used population data from 46 countries to calculate how many infant girls would have died in a society where there was no discrimination impact, and how many died in reality. The difference, about 19 deaths out of every 1,000 girls born between 2000 and 2005, was ascribed to the effects of gender bias.

This amounted to about 239,000 deaths per year, or 2.4 million over a decade.

“Around 22 percent of the overall mortality burden of females under five (in India) is therefore due to gender bias,” the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) a research institute based in Austria, said in a statement.

The problem was most pronounced in northern India, the researchers found, with states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, accounting for two-thirds of the excess deaths.

Hardest hit were poor, rural, farming regions with low education levels, high population densities, and high birth rates.

“As the regional estimates of excess deaths of girls demonstrate, any intervention to reduce the discrimination against girls in food and healthcare allocation should, therefore, target in priority regions, where poverty, low social development, and patriarchal institutions persist and investments (in) girls are limited,” said co-author Nandita Saikia of IIASA.
