  • Nollywood actor, Kalu Ikeagwu drags wife to court

Popular Nollywood actor,  Kalu Ikeagwu, on Monday told an Ikeja High Court how his estranged wife, Ijeoma allegedly deserted their matrimonial home and prevented him from gaining access to their two children.

According to reports, Ikeagwu, in the suit marked LD/8939HD/2021, is seeking a dissolution of his six-year-old marriage to Ijeoma.

The actor is also seeking full custody of his three-year-old son and ten-year-old step-daughter.

Under cross-examination by the respondent’s counsel, Mrs S.I. Amedu, Ikeagwu said his wife packed out of his matrimonial and sent him a mail that she was on her way to her father’s house in Enugu.

He, however, said contrary to her claim that he later saw her at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport with the children after some days.

He said: ” I got back home from a trip on Aug. 4, 2021, to find out that my wife had left our matrimonial home with the children to an undisclosed location.

“I tried to contact her when I got to the house and found it empty. I sent her an email on that same day and she replied that she had gone to her father’s house in Enugu.

“She told me she was at her father’s place in Enugu and four days later, I saw her at the airport in Lagos, heading to God knows where. In the mail she sent, she said she was In Enugu.

Ikeagwu also debunked the claim that he sent his wife and kids out of the house and failed to provide for their upkeep.

“I did not send her out of the house. Someone has to tell me why it takes four days to get to Enugu from Lagos.

“If your say ‘you are on your way’ it means it is a continuous sentence. It was a stated fact that she was on her way,” he said.

The actor further told the court that his wife denied him sex and also poured water on him while he was asleep.

The petitioner also said he was not aware that his wife lost a pregnancy due to a  Sexually Transmitted Infection while they were together.

“After the birth of our son, she has refused to have sex with me. I was not aware she lost the pregnancy due to an infection as I did not give her any infection.

“Till date, I have not seen any report attached to a document that she lost a baby through STD. Though I did not ask her why she lost the baby,” he said.

Ikeagwu said he stopped sending money to the children for upkeep and maintenance because his wife denied him being the father to his stepdaughter.

He added that this was after she accused him of attempting to sleep with the child and she failed to acknowledge the money he sent to her.

“The last time I sent money to them was in November 2021. I stopped sending money because my wife denied me being a father to my step-daughter and she also accused me of wanting to sleep with her,” the actor said.

On why he was seeking custody of his stepdaughter whom he had earlier sought for revocation of guardianship, the actor said he had information that his wife wanted to relocate the children.

“I want custody of the two children. The reason I sought for revocation was because my wife had turned my step-daughter against me and at that point, I got a hint that she wanted to fly the children abroad.

“I have never been married to any woman before I got married to my wife. I married her after she had her daughter.

“I earlier said the issue of revocation was because  I felt she wanted to use me. My Lord, look at the precedence on how I have treated the girl from the very beginning.

“I am an actor by profession and I travel to locations within and outside Nigeria in which I can spend five days to one month.

“At the moment it may be difficult but I am thinking about the future when I remarry and get a stable wife,” Ikeagwu said.

Justice Christopher Balogun had earlier ordered the children to play with their father in court and ordered the respondent to present the receipts of the tuition fees of the children in court.

Balogun said: “According to the Child’s Right Act, you can not deny the children the best education even if you’re quarreling with your wife.

“If I should as a judgment grant you a divorce, and if your wife is in Enugu and you stay in Lagos, why should I  give the custody of a 10-year-old girl to you while her mother is alive?

“The Supreme Court ruled that it is not the wealth of a father that the children of that age need, they need the care and attention of their biological mother.

“The only reason the girl child should not be in the custody of the mother is if the mother is mentally derailed or the issue of infidelity is involved.

“Assuming the girl starts her monthly period, you as a father do not know what to do. You will be scared of the blood. A female girl is delicate. Your own case is worse because an accusation has been leveled against you,” he said.

The judge adjourned the case until June 23 for the continuation of the hearing.

Shocking! Mother takes daughter, nieces to bandits for sex in Kaduna [VIDEO]

A married woman has been arrested by the police in Giwa Local Government Area in Kaduna for allegedly taking her daughters to bandits for sex.

Maryam Abubakar, a housewife and resident of Rugar Hanwa in Sabon Gari Local Government, who was arrested on December 21, confessed that she had been luring women, including her own daughters and nieces, to the bandits for sexual pleasure.

Also arrested was a girl named Fatima Jibril, who, in connivance with her boyfriend, Muslim Abubakar, both residents of the Sakadadi area in Sabon Gari, had also been supplying women to the bandits.

Maryam said her clients were paying her N20,000 and that the women were being ferried to the forest on motorbikes.

The syndicate was exposed when the girls they had earlier procured from the criminals in the forest couldn’t return.

Another woman, Jummai Ibrahim, was arrested on the suspicion that she had been engaging in an affair with the bandits’ kingpin in the forest.

Ibrahim said she submitted herself to the bandits’ kingpin to protect her children and her father from their wraths because the bandits threatened to kill them, even after they had rustled the family’s cattle.

Some of the women said they had passed the night only once with the bandits.

One of them said the gunmen were living alongside their wives, only that they are hosted at different locations separate from their families.

One of the girls said the gunmen had been inseparable from their guns round the clock and they were stockpiled with foodstuff.

The arrested women were, however, remorseful for being in romance with the bandits in the forest.

  • Why you must stop using man power to impress your partner

Why you must stop using man power to impress your partner

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has urged Nigerian men to desist from using performance-enhancing substances known as “aphrodisiac” in order to impress their female partners.

This is contained in a statement for the Christmas and New year goodwill message to Nigerians released on Sunday by the Director General of NAFDAC, Prof. Moji Adeyeye.

Adeyeye decried the preponderance of performance-enhancing drugs, otherwise known as ‘’Manpower’’ in the local parlance, in the Nigeria market.

According to Adeyeye, most of the performance-enhancing drugs are not registered with NAFDAC, and that some of them were smuggled into the country.

“If they were registered, the producers and peddlers would not get it to the supermarkets, social media platforms and on the streets.

“Many men have died using such drugs and their relatives would blame their death on some imaginary witches in the village. Some of the producers of these drugs will claim they have no side effects.

“Majority of these products did not go through the approval process of the agency, the agency will not relent in running after the peddlers of such dangerous drugs until they are brought to book for violating the regulations,” Adeyeye said.

She said that most human beings have the need for intimacy and for a healthy sexual life and this determines their overall wellbeing.

She said that If there are physical or psychological problems with a person’s sexuality, it can hamper their self-confidence.

According to her, many people today have been caught in the web of such circumstances, leading them to seek a way out of the woods and that in recent times, the use of aphrodisiacs has become the range.

She said that many people are ignorant of the possible damage the misuse of aphrodisiacs or use of unregistered drugs could cause.

She noted that there are manufacturing quality guidelines and mandated regulations that control the production.

According to her, unbridled use of aphrodisiacs has a lot of implications in the entire body system and that the use of the products could potentially affect the blood pressure of the body.

“When you have a disproportionate flow of blood to a particular part of the body and lasting longer than normal, they tend to disrupt the normal flow of the circulatory system,” she said.

Adeyeye further said that aphrodisiacs could also interact with other drugs in the system and cause problems for the liver which could be responsible for breakdown of drugs while the byproduct of all waste goes down through the kidneys.

She said that when these things are used especially with some herbal medicines that don’t have dosage and professional prescription, it could lead to internal organ damage, as well as hurt the liver and the kidneys and this could cause untimely death.

She said that the way the body system works, everything should function the way God designed it.

She said: “when we begin to disrupt the functions of the body organs over time, it affects the balance and the ecosystem of how the body physiology works and can lead to unintended consequences.

‘’For those who have certain health risks, like people that are hypertensive or people that have heart disease, there is more of anxiety that the drug could stimulate into the system and can lead to changes in the physiology of the body, stroke or sudden stoppage of the heart.

“These happen in cases when men suddenly slump during sexual intercourse as reported in Rivers and Cross River States recently.

“There are a lot of side effects. Every drug is a potential poison. Every drug has one side effect or the other.

“These are chemical products with side effects. In some cases, there are associated Adverse Drug Reactions which could lead to death.

“It is not all cases of sudden death that are caused by witches and wizards in the village; but in most cases they are caused by what we eat or drink carelessly,” she said.

Adeyeye, however, urged Nigerians to eat right and drink right, especially in this festive season, to avoid health complications after the annual events.

The NAFDAC boss recalled that over N3 billion worth of falsified and banned drugs and unwholesome food products were seized by the agency recently at the Lagos trade fair complex.

She added that no fewer than 20 trailer loads of such banned and unwholesome products were carted away by officers of the agency’s Investigation and enforcement directorate, led by Barrister Kingsley Ejiofor.

According to her, some of the drugs impounded at the trade fair complex were performance-enhancing drugs and that most of them are counterfeit.

The director general said that manufacturers don’t care about quality, they add what they are not supposed to add or add more than what they are supposed to add, and in the end, the user is the loser.

Adeyeye disclosed that the agency has ordered 40 units of a detecting device, TRU SCAN, worth US$70,000 each for use on the field to spot fake medicines.

According to her, the device will show you whether a drug is 5mg or 50mg and that the device is both qualitative and quantitative.

The NAFDAC Director General said that the agency is the first agency in the world to use the Tru Scan which does quantitative spot check on the chemical content of medicines and chemical level of the drug.

According to her, this is part of the multifaceted approach the agency is adopting in fighting the preponderance of banned and falsified drugs in the country.

She blamed people that want to make quick money at the expense of the health and lives of undiscerning consumers.

She added that the agency would ensure minimized falsification of drugs to give confidence to consumers.

I never had sex with Fani-Kayode for six years- Estranged wife declares

Precious Chikwendu, estranged wife of Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed to a customary court in Abuja that she was forced to remain celibate for six years during their cohabitation because the former minister could not perform.

She said the four children she birthed in her affair with him were conceived via artificial insemination.

The former beauty queen made the shocking disclosure in papers filed at a Customary Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, in which she seeks an order to have access to her children.

Chikwendu filed the application through her counsel, Mr Abiodun Olusanya, informing the court that she had information that one of the kids – who were all said to be in Fani-Kayode’s custody – was injured in the head.

In the suit marked FCT/CCK8/01/043/2021, Chikwendu told the court that Fani-Kayode never consummated his six-year relationship with her.

She prayed the court to declare that she was never married to Fani-Kayode because, contrary to his claims, he neither paid her bride price nor performed customary or statutory marriage rites with her.

She averred that in the course of their cohabitation, she found out that despite Fani-Kayode’s denial, his marriage to his third wife, Regina, subsisted.

She accused him of assaulting her several times, ordering his bodyguards to strip, lock her up in her room.

In the suit marked FCT/CCK8/01/043/2021, Chikwendu told the court that Fani-Kayode never consummated his six-year relationship with her.

“At every attempt, the petitioner made to have sexual intercourse with the respondent, there was never erection of the respondent’s penis/manhood and penetration was frustrating.

“During such periods of frustration and sexual desire, the petitioner would be left with the choice of merely rubbing herself on the respondent, to have the slightest bit of relief.

“The petitioner then insisted parties should seek medical help for the respondent, and on visiting the family doctor, the respondent claimed he was diagnosed of having a cyst on his penis/manhood, which is not allowing the respondent to have erection and or perform sexually,

“The respondent was supposedly placed on cyprotab and the doctor suggested that the respondent should go and decide when he wishes to remove/untangle the cyst.

“Few days after the visit to the doctor, the respondent informed the petitioner that he had discussed with Regina and she had prayed over it, that the respondent should not do the operation, else he would die.

“The respondent never took the cyprotab medication, but any time the petitioner tried to engage the respondent in sexual activities, the respondent would claim his penis/manhood was paining him and then drink the medication.

“The petitioner bought intimacy gadgets for the respondent, but the respondent refused to use it and warned the petitioner never to suggest it again.”

Some fans want to have sex with me for money -Peju Johnson

Actress, Peju Johnson has averred that some fans want to have sex with her for money.

Speaking in a chat with The Sun, she said: “My man must be loving; tall, dark, caring, romantic and respectful. Most importantly, he must be God fearing, because if a man fears God, the rest is simple. Nowadays, men don’t fear themselves not to talk of God. I can reject a serious suitor if he doesn’t have respect for me or for other people.

I don’t like men that are disrespectful. Some of my fans are asking for my price tag. They want me to have sex with them for money, while some are sending me their dick pictures. Obviously, they are not my fans. I always feel embarrassed seeing all those things in my inbox. I can’t deal with such kind of men.”

On if she is under pressure to get married, she said: “For 2022, I’m looking forward to a better life and future. I want to be able to achieve my dreams. Somebody’s son is finding me; I am going to settle down and have my own family. I really can’t wait to see that happening. I pray my wedding bells ring anytime soon, because I really want it.

However, I am not getting any pressure from home to get married. In fact, my mum is a very loving and understanding woman. She won’t force or rush me into taking a wrong decision, because she knows everything happens at the right time, and God’s time is the best. Although, she does ask once in a while, she never pressurizes me to bring a man home”.

I don’t mind having sex on first date -Jennifer Obodo

Budding actress, Jennifer Obodo has averred that she would gladly take revenge on her unfaithful partner before considering reconciliation.

“When you want to cheat on me, cheat far away, not to my face. No one has ever cheated on me before. However, if I will forgive him for cheating, then I’d have to cheat back so we can forgive each other. After all, the world doesn’t revolve around men only,” she said.

On what attracts her to a man on a first date, the movie star who is also into real estate, interior and exterior décor, said: “It’s his appearance, sense of reasoning, and how comfortable I instantly feel around him. However, I don’t mind sex on a first date. It all depends on the vibe and personality.”

Obodo also expressed her view on celebrities bringing their private matters to social media. She stated: “I don’t think it’s right bringing your personal matters to social media. What are you bringing your personal life to social media for? The same people that will applaud you today are the same people that will throw stones at you tomorrow. Social media only makes things worse, so people who do that should always think twice before taking the step. For me, I love my privacy and I’ll never indulge in such things.”
