All the brands I have worked for seemed to have abandoned me- Seyi Law laments

Popular comedian, Seyi Aletile Lawrence aka Seyi Law has revealed that he is no longer getting the kind of patronage he used to enjoy.

The entertainer opened up saying the people and brands he has worked for, seem to have abandoned him. He also talked about how he travelled out for shows but made very little and then contemplated selling his properties to make ends meet as his home was shaky but despite all, he was able to purchase a new house.

He made all these known on his Instagram page.

According to him:” God is my rock and my refuge whom shall I fear. Our testimony is huge and no man can share in the glory of what God did, is doing and is going to do. Tears of Joy filled my eyes and my mouth is in awe of God’s faithfulness. All the people and brand that I have worked for seem to have abandoned me this year. I travelled out of Nigeria for my shows, had a great show but lost a lot of money.

My heart raced, my home was shaky, but I kept faith. I contemplated stopping my shows and selling some of our lands, but you know God reminded me of the word He gave me in November, 2017. In May, just about a month to buying this house, I had just N63k in my account, having invested in my shows and by my 35th Birthday on the 22nd June, 2018, God did what only him could have done.
If your heart is in a troubled place, there is a God who is Jehovah Shalom. He knows and if you can trust him, he will do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ever imagine. Your help is in God and not man, for Him alone can and will speak to the hearts of the men that he has chosen for you. Trust in Him alone.
    Praise God for me.

  • I suffered serious inferiority complex growing up- Seyi Law.

Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law has disclosed that he suffered inferiority complex growing up as a child. The ace comedian who has been blasted for unduly exposing his daughter , Tiwaloluwa said his critics cannot teach him how to train his daughter.

In his words: “It is their problem because I didn’t help their parents train them, so they should allow me to train mine. When I need their opinions I would ask. For now, it is not needed” he told Punch.

Recounting how he suffered inferiority complex as a child, the popular entertainer while narrating why he featured Tiwaloluwa in a recent comedy gig said the performance wasn’t rehearsed.

“No, we did not rehearse before I brought her on stage. It was only the audience that was shocked by her brilliant responses, I was not. She has been taught a lot from school and those were part of what she was taught. I have always put her in front of the camera and so she didn’t have stage fright. I try as much as possible to build her confidence as I suffered serious inferiority complex growing up.I had to study more and learn to get involved in discussions more intelligently. I would say my intelligence helped me.”

  • Efe spoke out of anger; let us forgive him- Seyi Law

Nigerian comedian and actor, Seyi Law has expressed his views over BBNaija’s Efe recent outburst.

In his outburst, Efe slammed fans who told him they regretted voting for him during BBNaija.

However, Seyi Law in his recent Instagram post, has urged Nigerians to forgive him, stressing that the ‘Warri’ crooner spoke out of anger.

According to him:”When the world hurts you in criticism in the name of fans and wants you to take it in good faith, forgetting that words kill faster than the guns, but won’t take your words in the same light. When the world makes a man lose his willpower to his own choice and don’t expect him to fight back, but would prefer he is drained in their own choice. The sadness and fear that enveloped me is killing.

There is no doubt there is a place for the fans and as an artiste, you must be cautious of how you walk there. @efemoney has spoken out of anger and made a mistake which might be justified, but could be avoided. We all make mistakes and he who is above them can crucify me. He has chosen a path for himself and you care too much trying to help him avoid mistakes, don’t be the one to make him make more of it.

Let’s forgive him and let him grow and he might just learn to do it right or decide to let it get all go, but let him have a say in his own life. I apologise on his behalf to those hurt and hope we can all embrace peace.

Every man to his life, let him live. God bless you.”

  • FG makes monsters out of Nigerians – Seyi Law

Seyi Law says time bomb will still explode in Nigeria

Seyi Law has asserted that the Nigerian government makes monsters out of her citizens. Following the death of a 10-year-old boy at Ekeukwu market demolition in Imo State, the comedian took to his Instagram page stating that a time bomb is about to explode in Nigeria . He noted that there will be nowhere to hide when it happens.

He wrote: “This was probably the saddest picture I saw on the internet last week and waited to hear the Governor’s reaction to the killing of unarmed civilians during a demolition exercise, but I am still waiting.

“This is a huge problem in Nigeria, we keep mute at the death of people and that’s why Jungle justice prevails. No prosecution, No statement and the family, friends and well wishers of the victims grow with vengeance in their hearts.

“The Government of this Nation make monsters out of his people and when the day of reckoning comes, they will want to demonize them. Hmmmmm.

“The bombs we are building in this Nation will someday explode and we will have no where to run. Imagine the kind of seed they have sown in this little girl. She might forgive, but forgetting will be very hard.

“Our Government need to do more and the citizens have to be more vocal. Silence, I maintain is not always golden.

“Our National time bomb is ticking and our President is not so diplomatic in his statements, issuing threats in a volatile situation instead of been persuasive. Just my thoughts. God help us all.”

  • Kemi Olunloyo makes peace with Seyi Law

The feud between comedian, Seyi Law, and controversial blogger, Kemi Olunloyo, has been ongoing for a while with both throwing jabs at one another . Many Nigerians were shocked when Olunloyo on Wednesday took to her Instagram page, saying she is no longer at loggerheads with Seyi Law .

The feud between the duo started when Olunloyo called Seyi Law’s baby girl Tiwaloluwa, fat and obese. Now, anyone who knows the comedian well, knows he is not one to let such comments just pass by in peace. He held nothing back in his several replies.

Olunloyo in her apology stated that Seyi Law is now free to go in peace. She wrote: “Special message for Tiwa @seyilaw1’s daughter. Seyi blocked me after the beef started yet he talks about me to all media and I can’t read his postings about me except on Lilian’s @lnstablog9ja or way too many tagging me.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BYIkwvAnUP-/?taken-by=kemiolunloyo

“Seyi you are now free to go in peace. May God bless Tiwa. She will read this one day. When I become 73yo, she will be 20yo on the internet. I will not taint her childhood with bickering and hate. I respect myself as a social critic. Nigerians do not understand that concept asking a Journalist to contact celebrities privately. It is not done. We use public figures to illustrate many things. Obesity leads to high blood pressure, Diabetes, heart disease and more. It will not be in your portion IJN.

“God Bless you baby Tiwa Alatile. I made you famous and proud of you. #girlpower?

In the same vein, Seyi Law also apologized to her for his public outbursts . He wrote on Instagram:” Aunty Kemi, I am happy we can put this matter to rest and I must sincerely say, I have no personal issue with you except for Tiwaloluwa. When you release your first post, I liked it until the blogs blew it out. I never for once mentioned your children in any of my post and your PH issue, I said I was happy at first, but realized we all make mistakes and deserve forgiveness

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BYIyXtlBWHT/?taken-by=seyilaw1

“The same blog made it look like I was mocking you and then you know what happened from there. I am sorry I said too many things and do hope you forgive. “If you ever heard anything after this, trust me they were interviews I granted before this month. I am glad we can lay this to rest. I wish you well in your Gubernatorial quest and hope we can always be happy for each other. Thanks for your concerns. God bless you”.

  • President Buhari goofed- Seyi Law declares

Nigerians on Monday reacted to Buhari’s first broadcast to Nigerians after a 104-day medical vacation in the United Kingdom.

While some lauded the speech, others said it didn’t address the pertinent issues affecting the wellbeing of Nigerians.

Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law faulted the president’s opinion on the unity of Nigeria. The outspoken comedian took to his Instagram page to express his grievance.

In his words:” I am one of those who waited for the President’s speech and if I say I am not disappointed at some part of his speech will be an act of hypocrisy. It goes without saying that the first quote up there by the President is a reference to Nnamdi Kanu and his people and the term, irresponsible elements shows serious condemnation with a follow up reference to Late Chief Ojukwu’s visit to him.

“However the second and third quotes that should address the AREWA YOUTHS by Mr. President is a twist and not an outright condemnation. This is a big GOOF from the President and can be likened to President Trump infamous line that got the America media houses ranting for days unend. The line, I rephrase, there are good people on both side.

“The President goofed big time on that one and he needs to do better. If the BIAFRANS are irresponsible then same goes to the AREWA YOUTHS. He should condemn them in totality and stop rubbing their egos. What legitimate concerns that are not good for both?

“Mr. Kogi State Governor who declared public holiday for the Presidential return has displayed an equal act of irresponsibility as I am trying to avoid the use of the word stupidity. What is it that he is celebrating? Some people are just outrightly annoying. Unfortunately, the lazy ones in Kogi are celebrating another lazy day. Just a piece of my mind”.

  • I have no grudge against Kemi Olunloyo- Seyi Law

Following popular blogger, Kemi Olunloyo’s incessant bashing of Tiwa, baby of Seyi Law, calling her obese, the comedian has said he has no grudge against her despite her controversial posts .

According to Seyi Law, you don’t claim you are blunt by writing falsehood.

Hear him:” I don’t have any grudge against Kemi Olunloyo. The truth is that I see a lot of brilliance in her but it is just that her way of doing things without having ethical values is what makes people get pissed at her. If she had initially written something like I saw Seyi Law’s daughter’s picture and I think he should watch the weight of his baby so that she doesn’t become obese, that would have been better because it is a piece of advice. It is a better approach and not calling my baby obese without having the necessary precautions like taking the baby’s weight, height, eating routine and other things“.

In addition, Seyi Law stated that he could decide to sue her and she will have to pay through her nose If we were in the US or UK.

“If she had done all these things before coming to the conclusion that my baby is obese, that would have been medically fine. If we were in the US or UK; providing a baby’s medical report on social media without the approval of the parents, I know what it entails and the amounts she would pay as fine. The cyberspace is not limited to a country, it is worldwide. She claims to be a citizen of the US and my child is a US citizen.

“I could decide to sue her in the US and she would pay out of her nose. She could even be the one to pay the money that would send my child to school. Some people are brilliant but they take their stupidity to an extent that they ruin themselves along the line. Brilliance without caution would make you become foolish. This woman can be very good sometimes with some of her reports and she could be blunt at other times with her write-up and we appreciate that but when you operate as a person, you need to be careful with your choice of words. If you want to be blunt, it has to be with evidence. You don’t just say you are blunt by writing falsehood and that is where she has a problem.”

  • Take down your child’s pictures off social media – Kemi Olunloyo slams Seyi law

Following the war of words between Kemi Olunloyo and Nigerian comedian , Seyi Law, the outspoken controversial media personality has advised the comedian to take his daughter ‘s pictures off social media.

Recall that Olunloyo had shared a series of posts concerning Seyi Law’s daughter stressing that she is obese and something has to be done about her state. Seyi Law threw jabs at Olunloyo saying she is insane and a family reject. Read here

However, Olunloyo in her latest post wrote:”#BREAKING I just received a call from one of @seyilaw1’s wife’s relatives in the UK who disclosed privately to me that his daughter Tiwa has a disability and medical complication she was born with. Tiwa cannot process #insulin well and therefore gains weight and retains fat like any hyperglycemic patient would. This sounds close to type 1diabetes also called juvenile diabetes. I spotted this baby as obese 6 months ago to educate others on a medical issue, her father acknowledged it and I also called @majeayida into it, a first class fitness trainer who I asked to write an article on child obesity to assist me as a pharmacist to educate Nigerians.

“NEXT I was wrongfully imprisoned and Seyi said he was rejoicing when he heard that I was locked up because she called my baby “fat”. Rather than him apologizing for that, he insulted my entire family. Today my mom cursed him for saying she should have kept her placenta and thrown me away, called me a family reject and compared me with a dog with RABIES!

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BWqeNf2nifg/?taken-by=kemiolunloyo

None of his fans saw him do wrong, they did not research the original post and all thought this online fight was between me and Seyi. It was about the child. Instead, I got curses and death threats. Some illiterates even thought the word “obese” was a bullying word when it’s actually a medical term. The other disability the child suffers is too much to say here. Pray for that girl. Seyi, I advise you take down your child’s photos from social media.

To all the celebrities sarcastically cursing me out not mentioning my name, thank God u will remain scared of me forever posting her pictures and crowning her baby of the year as I made her famous in one weekend, ALWAYS FOCUS ON THE BIGGER PICTURE”.
