Nigerians on Twitter have expressed their dissatisfaction over Seyi Shay’s harsh remark
about a budding singer at this year’s audition of the television reality show, Nigerian Idol.
Seyi Shay who is one of the judges had told the singer he was lied to by coming to audition and he can never make money from music.
“Somebody lied to you and told you to come and audition, and that person, you should go back and tell them they’re not your friends because that was not good audition.
“Oh, you have a good talking voice, and it comes out in your singing voice, but your performance, terrible. You’re never going to make money being a singer.”
The singer, who noted that he was panicky, walked out distraught after the verdict.
@realpault stated, “How I wish that the young man will become successful and the video of Seyi Shay spewing nonsense on him will resurface. It will happen.”
“It speaks of who Seyi Shay is, in no manner should she alter words of that magnitude to the boy. Some individuals don’t know communication skills and this is on whoever brought her on board,” tweeted @jaiyeoflagos.
“Seyi Shay’s choice of words are actually worse than that boy’s performance,” another tweep, @Elvis_Vitalis1 wrote.
However some individuals supported Seyi Shay, adding that she passed the right judgement.
@iam_m_mujeeb wrote, “Seyi Shay might sound harsh but she said the truth and if he(singer) wants to sing he has a lot to learn.”
“Seyi Shay did no wrong. She was straight and real. She did great by acknowledging his passion for music, but suggested areas he can thrive besides singing. Good judgment,” @Anyisabali stated.

Nigerian singer ,Seyi Shay has again left tongues wagging after a semi-nude photo of herself appeared on social media.
TheNewsGuru recalls that on Friday, a sexy photo wherein the talented singer could be seen lying on the bed unclad while showing off her backside had emerged on her Instagram page.
The picture was accompanied by a brief post which read: “Good sex, no stress, one boo, no ex, small circles, big cheques.”
Less than a year ago, the entertainer made the headlines after three semi-nude photos of herself also appeared on her social media accounts.
Seyi Shay had at the time alleged her Instagram page was hacked, debunking claims that she intentionally shared the photos.
“I cannot tell why/who is doing this, but my IG account has been compromised and my privacy is being violated,” she had said.

In an Instagram live conversation with fans, the music star recounted her tragic experience.
“So guess what, I was coming from Sound Sultan’s house the other day, my driver was driving, thank God, that is how a container truck just smashed the whole side of my new car, I was so angry, I couldn’t believe it,” she said.
Actually, the container had a direct impact on a corolla. That corolla now hit my car. That’s how my car now flew from one side of the freaking freeway to the other side. I literally saw everything take place in front of my eyes, there was one passerby that was just walking o.
“Maybe to work God knows, that’s how my car hit him, the guy just flew up landed down and was screaming that! His legs, his legs… Hey come and see the car that the trailer hit directly, that car was a complete write-off, ‘right off ni motor yen’….I was so scared I was shaking, it took me a few minutes to get down from the car.
“My driver came down, he ran to the trailer and the car that was written off, I came out of the car and went to the old man that hit by my car because the lorry had pushed my car into him, he was on the floor talking about he’s legs were broken and that is how I started crying.”
She also narrate what happened at the police station, saying that the truck driver was underaged.
“I couldn’t believe it and I was like what I have done, that is how we ended up in the police station, this was like 7 am I was in the police station till 11:30 am and if you see the driver of the trailer, I think he was 9 years old, he was so short, skinny and small I couldn’t believe that something so tiny was driving a big trailer like that what is wrong with Nigerians?” she said.

How nine-year-old truck driver nearly sent me to early grave in Lagos
Popular Nigerian singer and actress, Seyi Shay has shared her recent encounter in a fatal accident in Lagos.
According to Shay, a truck driven by a short, tiny, nine-year-old boy crushed her brand new Range Rover and it was by luck that she escaped death.

Anyways that is how the car is now in the mechanic workshop so the owner of the trailer came one baba like this he apologized, the little 9-year-old boy said he was 23 years old, they said what is your name he said Ayo Eze, the guy sha he was just chatting shit so anyway that’s how they took him, locked him up in a cell, we waited three more hours, his employer came, family, you know he actually paid for damages and repairs to my car and we left, thank God for life, thank God the impact wasn’t directly on my car because, God knows maybe I wouldn’t be talking to you right now but it was just very scary, I called everybody but las las the case is now closed”, said Seyi Shay.

Nigerian singer, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, professionally known as Seyi Shay posted a photo of her derriere again.
The singer had earlier claimed that her Instagram account was hacked after a series of her raunchy photos came online.
In a new photo on her verified IG account, she posted a picture of herself wearing skimpy swimwear. This, she captioned with ”Now this one, I posted MYSELF!”.

The ‘Gimme Love’ singer made this known as a guest on Simi’s talk-show ‘Stoopid Sessions’.
Seyi Shay pointed out that she intends to be 100% faithful in her marriage.
Seun Kuti who was also a guest on the show noted that most times, women are okay with their men having other women but think they should be faithful to their husbands. He said it’s because of societal conditioning.
Seun said: “The thing is, I also want my woman to be a complete human being. People mistake that and think it is only men that are allowed to cheat. What is this thing with women trying to say to themselves, ‘oh, I can’t cheat.’ It’s society… In society in general, women believe that in marriage, the onus is on them to be faithful. Men can do what they do, as long as they don’t catch them, you know, boys will be boys, and I feel like it’s society that has told women that they can’t be human.”
Seyi Shay insisted that she intends to be faithful once it’s a marriage and not just a relationship. However, she added that she will okay with her man having side chicks as long as he’s open about it from the start.
She said: “I know a lot of women will try and bash me for it but I will actually be cool with my man having chicks.

It is tacky to show off wealth on social media -Seyi Shay
Talented music star, Seyi Shay has averred that the idea of showing off one’s wealth on social media is a very tacky move.
In a video that surfaced online, the music star noted that though she has been asked by several people why she doesn’t show off her wealth, the reason is that she is too classy to want to reveal any details about her lifestyle.
“Some people say to me Seyi you are doing well you probably have loads of many but we can’t see it and my answer is, don’t be so shallow I’m not loud, proud type of person,” she said.
“I live well, I live good. I’m a businesswoman but I’m not just loud about all these things because I think it’s tacky and I’m classy.”

Stop saying your account was hacked- Shade Ladipo slams Seyi Shay
Nigerian media personality, Shade Ladipo has slammed Seyi Shay after she had claimed that her Instagram page was compromised by unknown persons.
On Thursday, three semi-nude pictures of Seyi Shay were posted on her own handle and it got many talking on social media.
The 34-year-old vocalist, however, said she wasn’t the one who posted them, hedging that her Instagram account had been hacked and compromised by unknown persons.
“Seems to be a deliberate attack as the photos circulating are not from a recent exchange. Please ignore all direct messages from my account and do not share any personal info,” she had said.
Reacting via her Instagram story, Ladipo urged the singer to take responsibility if she wishes to show off her curves rather than claim that her account was hacked after the development was greeted with backlash on social media.
“So I want to understand if your Instagram account gets hacked, did they also hack your naked pictures from within Instagram? I’m asking for my neighbour o,” she wrote.
“If you want to show us boobie and small yansh, pls do like your mates and stand by it with full chest. I’m here for the whole thing but please stop saying your account was hacked. We went to school ma.”
TheNewsGuru recalls that Toke Makinwa, another media personality, and Tacha had earlier condemned unidentified individuals threatening to release their edited nude photos.

Seyi Shay reacts over viral semi-nudes photos
Nigerian songstress, Seyi Shay has claimed that her Instagram was hacked after some semi-nude photos of her were posted on her account.
TheNewsGuru reports that there are three photos of the singer that shows her in skimpy clothing as at the time of filing this report.
The singer, however took to Twitter to state that she did not consent to the posting of those photos.
“I cannot tell why/who is doing this, but my IG account has been compromised & my privacy is being violated,” she tweeted.
“Seems to be a deliberate attack as the photos circulating are not from a recent exchange. Please ignore all DMs from my account and do not share any personal info.”
Latasha Ngwube, Nikki Laoye and Omawumi also took to Seyi Shay’s comment section to alert fans about the current situation:
