    Sad! Shan George loses younger sister

    Everyone may be excited for the gift of a new year, but not Shan George. The filmmaker and actress is bereaved. She lost her younger sister in an autocrash. The accident took place on her way from Cross River to Rivers State

     

    Recounting the depth of her loss, the actress shared a video of herself and her sister . She revealed that the accident has made her heart “shattered” into a “billion pieces”, adding that the video was made 5 days ago.

     

    She wrote: “We made this Video 5 days ago when we both arrived Calabar for d festivities. She arrived an hour ahead of me. After the carnival celebrations she decided to leave back to Port Harcourt her base, yesterday. But she never got home.

    “My baby sister queen had an accident and died on the spot. As she lies dead in the mortuary where her corpse was deposited since yesterday evening my heart is shattered into a billion pieces.

    “Why you go and do me like this girl? U have been my pillar since mama got bedridden. I’m looking at all our carnival pixs and videos of just 2 days ago. This is damn hard.”

    Light skinned actress, Shan George popular for the movie, Outcast has lamented over the state of the Nigerian health sector. She shared a video of her bedridden mother being discharged from the hospital after six long years.

    The actress in an emotional post noted that it’s been a tough one for her in the last six years especially as the only child of her mother.

    George also appreciated people who were there for her over the years in the midst of turmoil.

     

    Hear her:” This is the UCTH (University of Calabar Teaching Hospital) where my aged ill bedridden mother has been, She is getting discharged today. Since 2011 she has been bedridden and done series of surgeries. Well, she is still in a wheelchair but we are going home. As her only child it’s been

And thank u to those who refused to help even when I came kneeling, crying and begging for their help. You made me stronger and more dependent on God. God bless our Parents.”

  • ‘Cabals are killing Nollywood’ -Shan George declares

    Like every other Nollywood actress, Shan George has had her fair share of scandals and bright moments in Nollywood. The light skinned actress and filmmaker who has been accused of going into marriage and coming out of it over three times, dating younger men and decorating her body with countless tattoos, has risen above these scandals, now focused on giving back to Nollywood.

     

    The half caste actress recently poured out her mind about her pains in Nollywood. According to her, cabals are killing the Industry and this is limiting the growth of the movie industry.

    “There are a lot of cabals in Nollywood. They say If you don’t use some individuals in your film, they cannot accept your movie. These are the reasons the industry isn’t growing the way it should.

    “In every other area we are doing well. We have very good writers now, we have dynamic directors and producers. We have a lot of young people doing very good movies, but cabals are killing Nollywood. If these cabals can open up a bit for others to come in, the industry will become better” she told Hip TV.

    Shan was born to a Nigerian mum and a British dad. Known for having issues with her “love life”, her first marriage was when she was 16. She is an alumnus of the University of Lagos where she studied Mass Communication and went on to produce her debut movie titled All For Winnie during her final year.
