    Sharon Ooja, Nollywood actress has taken to social media to mark her first traditional wedding anniversary with her husband, Ugo.

    To commemorate this special day, Sharon took to her Instagram page to share a heartwarming video from their traditional wedding ceremony, expressing her gratitude to God for the gift of a beautiful marriage.

    In her heartfelt message, Sharon described her traditional wedding as a dream come true, and Ugo as her dream man. She acknowledged that their marriage is a testament to God’s grace and favor, and that she prays silently every day for the sustenance of their union.

    She wrote: “Happy traditional wedding anniversary to me and my husband!
    Thinking back to this beautiful day, I can’t help but smile!!! I had my dream traditional wedding and married my dream man. Oh, we are pure and living evidence of God’s grace and favour. Every day, I just say silent prayers to God for the gift of a beautiful marriage because it’s only God that sustains. And where God provides, He heavily protects.

    Thank You, God, for all You’ve done for me and mine!!! It’s been such a blessing being married to my other half. I’m soooooo grateful to God for all He has done and is still doing for us.
    As I celebrate the anniversary of my traditional wedding while we count down to the white one.
    I pray God grants you all you require and gives you a partner that not only complements you mentally and spiritually, but someone you can grow in Christ with. I’m sure you remember this day as much as I do”.

    The couple’s traditional wedding ceremony took place on June 27, 2024, in Abuja, where they dazzled in Idoma traditional attire. This anniversary celebration comes after Sharon and Ugo marked their first civil wedding anniversary on February 22, 2025.

    Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja and her husband, Ugo, are celebrating their first Civil wedding anniversary.

    The excited actress via her Instagram on Saturday shared a video of her and her husband from their civil wedding noting that the past one year has been filled with God’s mercies and kindness.

    She also appreciated her husband for changing her life in so many ways beyond words and also for being such an open and honest person, and for loving her with a love so genuine.

    Sharing the video, she wrote: “Happy wedding anniversary to us. Civil wedding). It’s been over a year of God’s mercies and kindness to us; these videos are from our civil wedding ceremony, a day I’ll never forget. All I can say is thank you, Jesus, for everything, for being so kind and merciful to us. For you are truly the giver of all things good and perfect. Thank you, my Igbo king, for changing my life in so many ways beyond words, for being such an open and honest person, and for loving me with a love so genuine. My partner in all things, with the God of the angel armies on our side, directing and protecting us till infinity, baby”.

    Social media was abuzz after popular Nigerian actress Sharon Ooja took to church altars to thank God for answering her long desire to settle with a partner of her dreams.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Ooja recounted on Sunday how her faith and patience led her to meet her husband, Ugo Nwoke, after years of waiting.

    In June, recall that Sharon Ooja tied the knot with her husband, Ugo Nwoke at Harvesters International Christian Centre in Lagos.

    Giving her testimony, the actress shared her spiritual experience while praying for a spiritual partner, explaining how she had a personal encounter with the Holy Spirit after years of praying for a life partner.

    “Several times I would have conversations with God, saying, ‘You’ve given me work, financial stability, and I’m great at what I do. There’s just one thing I’m still waiting for,’” she shared.

    She also recalled when  “Pastor B“  asked her what qualities she sought in a man.

    She replied, “Someone who will take care of me.” The pastor, however, urged her to focus on personal growth.

    She narrated how she continued to pray until last year when she was  filming a movie in the desert, and the Holy Spirit told her, ‘Leave her burdens here.’

    She recalled the moment vividly, saying, “I was filming in the desert and had a heavy encounter with the Holy Spirit. I remember hearing, ‘Leave your burdens here.”

    She stressed that not long after that experience, she met the man who would become her husband.

    The testimony, however, stirred reactions online, with critics offering their opinions. Some supported the actress’s testimony, praising God on her behalf; others saw it as unnecessary.

    Nigerians have dug up photo of Nollywood actress, Sharon Ooja’s husband, Ugo Nwoke previous wedding shortly after former Big Brother Naija housemate and actress Bisola Aiyeola dismissed controversial claim against billionaire businessman.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that blogger Stella Dimokokorkus in an Instagram post on Friday had alleged that the Imo state billionaire was married to a white woman and two black women.

    According to the Stella, Nwoke’s third marriage, which produced three sons, ended in 2023.

    Sharing picture of the newly wedded couple, Sharon and Ugo, the post read, “Actress Sharon Ooja Marries Imo State Billionaire Chief Ugoo Nwoke as 4th Wife.” The post further said, “Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja on Thursday, June 27, 2024, traditionally married handsome billionaire Chief Ugoo Nwoke who hails from Awomama, Oru East in Imo State and is tagged a man with the kindest heart. Chief Nwoke, whispered to be in his early 50s, has been married three times before, with his third marriage ending in 2023 and producing three sons. Chief Nwoke is a billionaire in every sense of the word, and we wish him a lifetime of happiness with Sharon.”

    Reacting to the claims, Bisola, clearly shocked and bewildered, defended her friend after taking to the comment section to discard the claims.

    The ex-Big Brother Naija star said Stella made up lies about Ugo, adding that it would not bring down Sharon who is in high spirits nor ruin the white wedding on Saturday, June 29.

    Despite the claims, Sharon went ahead to hail her husband, Ugo in an Instagram post on Friday, saying she’s married to the man with the kindest of heart.

    She wrote, “Yesterday I married my dream man!!! The man with the kindest heart…. A true king!! My gift from God❤️❤️❤️ thank you for making me the happiest wife !!! Our love is protected by the God of the angel armies .. our king Jesus ❤️… thank you all for the love my insta family!!! My odogwu and I are sooo grateful.”

    However, in a new development, netizens have dug up photo from Ugo Nwoke’s previous marriage alongside details of his divorce proceedings at a Los Angeles court.

    Unravelling more details about the billionaire businessman, entertainment blogger Stella Dimokokorkus in an Instagram post on Friday alleged that the imo state billionaire was married to a white woman and two black women.

    Stella added that Nwoke’s third Marriage, which produced three sons, ended in 2023.

    She wrote: “Nollywood actress Sharon Ooja on Thursday June 27, 2024 traditionally married handsome Billionaire Chief Ugoo Nwoke who hails from Awomama, Oru East in Imo state and is tagged a man with the kindest heart..

    Nollywood actress, Sharon Ooja on Thursday, disclosed that she got engaged after two-and-a-half months of dating.

    The actress who married her lover, Ugo Nwoke, traditionally in Abuja made this known in an interview with Bella Naija.

    According to the actress, her sister had introduced her to Nwoke, and despite initial reservations, they connected deeply.

    She added that their romance spanned just two-and-a-half months, culminating in a proposal.

    She said, “My love story is one that I’ll say is short of a miracle. I had just recovered from what I considered the worst heartbreak of my life, and I was filming, and my sister had said to me a friend of hers wanted to speak to me and I was like I wasn’t in the mood.

    “I didn’t want to talk to anybody. Anyway, she gives this person my number and he is really smart. I was like, who is this person, and we probably didn’t speak as much as we should.

    “Months passed he kept on trying to reach me, and I was like, this guy is really persistent. We kept on having really cute conversations, and one day, there was just one conversation that struck me. We spoke for about three hours. I was like I think I like this guy.

    “I travelled and realised that he hadn’t called me in like two days, I was like why didn’t uou call me, and he was like you told me you were going to go out and have fun and I was like yeah, I’m single and he was like I didn’t I want you to be single no more.

    “We dated for literally two-and-a-half months, and I was engaged in the third month. And we married two months after there.”

    However, in the video posted today, the actress delighted her fans with her husband’s looks, with both of them dressed in a traditional attire.

    One of her bridesmaids, actress Ini Dima-Okojie, shared a picture of herself on Instagram looking stunning in her wedding attire.     Also actress Bisola Aiyeola, the chief bridesmaid, showcased her stylish outfit in an Instagram post captioned, “The ChiefBrides Maid Reporting for Duty Dearsssss”.

    Another bridesmaid and colleague, Jemima Osunde, also shared pictures of herself in her attire on her Instagram page, captioning it, “Ready to get my sis traditionally MARRIED @sharonooja today is for youuuuuu and your boo my sister. I am so so happy.”

    On June 18, Sharon shared a video showing fun and intimate moments from her bridal shower. The bridal shower held on June 15 and themed ‘Disco and Diamonds,’ saw Ini, Jemima, Bisola, Beverly, and many others in attendance.

    Friends, family, and loved ones came together to celebrate the beloved actress, making it a memorable occasion.

    When you think of Sharon Ooja three words come to mind beautiful, fashionable and talented.

    The role interpreter in a recent post on her Instagram stories said being friendly with everyone should not include involvement in personal lives.

    Sharon added that she finds it worrying that people can belong to different friend groups.

    “I can’t trust someone who is friends with everyone. Forget the story of ‘I’m a friendly person’, you can be friendly and not invite everyone into your personal space/life,” she wrote.

    “Kiss and hug them whenever you meet in public and keep it moving. No hate, just me keeping my space clean of unwanted energies.”

    Sharon came into the limelight as an actress in 2016, after playing the role of ‘Shalewa’ in the web series, ‘Skinny Girl in Transit’.

    In an interview Ooja said she hasn’t been ever intimate with her colleague, Timini Egbuson.

    “Timini Egbuson is my colleague and friend; he is a fantastic guy. We have never been intimate. Ice Prince is also a colleague and an equally nice man. We are not dating and have no romantic ties at all. We only worked together on an advert for a brand of noodles, and that’s that. I am very secretive about my relationship because I don’t like my private life been in the public domain. Don’t believe everything you see on social media. As a matter of fact, don’t take whatever you see me flaunt on social media seriously because I don’t put what’s going on in my life out there for people to know. Till I get married, I won’t publicise my relationship”.

    Beautiful actress, Sharon Ooja has stated that females have more opportunities in Nollywood than their male counterparts.
    The ‘SGIT’ actress shared this during an IG LIVE chat with ‘My Flatmates’ producer, Kayode Peters.
    Ooja also spoke exclusively on rumoured sexual harassment in the industry and how she is yet to experience it in Nollywood.
    “To be honest, I think we females have it better in the industry. We get a lot of roles. There is always a role for a new face in our industry compared to the guys oo…They keep using the same guys over and over again but for the girls, new faces are coming up every year. So, I think we have it better as women”.
    On screening scripts, Ooja, disclosed that she only accepts scripts she believes she can deliver as she tries to avoid embarrassing herself.
    ““I vet every script that I get and if the character does not align with me, I turn it down. Not because it is not going to be a big film, but I don’t think I’d deliver and as an actor, I don’t want to embarrass myself so I have to pick”.
