  • Nigeria is a scary place to be- Simi laments

Velvety voiced singer, Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye, popularly known as Simi, has shared her pain on the state of the nation.

Simi took to her Twitter page stating that Nigeria is a scary place to be.

The ‘Jamb Question’ crooner revealed that a lot of things happen in Nigeria because people know there are no consequences

The newly married singer wrote: “Nigeria is a f##cking scary place to be. The worst part is a lot of crazy stuff happens because they KNOW there will be no consequences. It’s not rocket science. But how do we get from where we are to where we need to be?? + it’s not just the government, it’s us too.

We’re just getting by. No confidence in this broken system. So we hope that today is good for us and that we see tomorrow. Rinse and repeat. Surviving, instead of actually living.

And then we have people fighting for leadership positions only to serve themselves. Not us. They really couldn’t give less of a fuck about us. STILL we turn on each other to serve them. So absolutely, ridiculously stupid! We’re supposed to be on the same side.

We outnumber them by millions. They should be accountable to us. They should be scared of us. Not the other way round. If they don’t want to do right because they should, they should do right cos we refuse to accept anything less.

But it’s not enough for only a few people to think this way. Because why on earth should I fight if I know you won’t have my back. Why on earth would you fight if you think I won’t fight with you? So you see – the problem is us.”

Adekunle Gold, Simi share love story in new song ‘Promise’[VIDEO]

Newly married singers, Adekunle Gold and Simi have unveiled the visuals of their new single, ‘Promise.’
Earlier yesterday, TNG gathered that the singers will be unveiling a joint album.
The new collaborative single ‘Promise’ takes us to picturesque locations and, for the first time, presents the happy couple flourishing in the glow of each other’s’ love for the world to see.
The video is very intimate, but also fun enough that we are pulled into it without feeling awkward. The lyrics of the song, as the title implies, sounds very much like wedding vows; leaving us to guess whether these were their actual vows. Listening to them harmonize adds more depth to the words, it’s safe to say our heartstrings have been sufficiently tugged with this one.

Why I had a secret wedding- Adekunle Gold

Weeks back, social media was awash with reports that Adekunle Gold had finally tied the knots with his speculated girlfriend, Simi.

The lovebirds did well not to give any confirmation of an ongoing relationship from either of them. Neither was there a denial all through. The only confirmation everyone has is of their wedding ceremony.

In a statement made by Adekunle Gold in his newsletter obtained by TheNewsGuru, the ‘Orente’ singer disclosed his reason for opting for a secret wedding.

On why he took his wedding from the public glare, he said:” Earlier in 2018, I asked my girl of 5 years to be my wife. Knowing all of my imperfections and shortcomings, she said yes!

This January, before God and our family, we vowed to do this thing called life together.

To be honest, it’s easy to get lost in the limelight; so we definitely have a slightly obsessive desire for a private life that belongs to just us.

We planned on sharing a little bit of the beginning of our forever with you. Thankfully my team got Kudus on our little Island with us to capture some of these moments for you.

I see all your beautiful wishes for me and mine.
I want to thank you for that and hope our union brings more Magic”.
