  • How I successfully battled my coronavirus trauma – Nigerian singer shares experience

How I successfully battled my coronavirus trauma – Nigerian singer shares experience

Nigerian singer, Jumabee has narrated his experience after testing positive for Coronavirus in the United Kingdom.

According to Jumabee, it all began two weeks ago after he developed a high fever, severe headache and body pains. He further revealed that he thought it was malaria but it got worse after 3 days.

The singer disclosed that after he was diagnosed with Coronavirus, he couldn’t be taken to the hospital because it was already filled up and the NHS was already overwhelmed. He added that the incident left him suicidal, because he thought it was the end.

    He wrote;

MY EASTER TESTIMONY: HE IS RISEN THEREFORE I AM RISEN

    HOW I AROSE FROM COVID-19.

I am sharing my story firstly to testify to the goodness of God and also to lend my voice to the numerous ongoing covid-19 campaigns.

About 2 weeks ago I developed high fever, severe headache and body pains, I thought it was malaria being that I had just come in from Nigeria so I started treating malaria but 3 days later my health got worse, I lost my appetite and became very weak. I couldn’t even sit up let alone stand or walk.

At this point I was thinking hope this is not covid 19 understanding that the UK was a high burden zone, but as I wasn’t coughing at the time, I tried to convince myself it was probably a bacterial infection so I started taking antibiotics, along with paracetamol and a lot of water but still no improvement then I certainly knew I needed help.

We called the ambulance consistently for 3 days but there was no response and even the times they responded, they said they were very busy and could not come. On the third day, they finally showed up, but at this moment, I was already battling for my life, I could no longer breathe properly, I was gasping for breath. Just before the doctors arrived that day I collapsed, I was literally gone. My friends had to perform CPR on me to resuscitate me.

When the paramedics finally came, they confirmed it was covid 19 but that they couldn’t take me to the hospital because all the hospitals were filled up and the NHS was overly overwhelmed, they said even if they took me to the hospital, I would most likely get worse because of the conditions there so they recommended I stayed at home and fight for my life.
After they left, I started having suicidal thoughts, nothing mattered anymore. I got even worse, cough started along with severe diarrhea, my skin began to peel too. Something just had to be done, with the help of many, we found a private hospital after days of search where I was stabilized for days.

On returning home after testing negative. I looked at myself in the mirror and couldn’t believe my eyes, I had lost so much weight, I started crying because I had thought that was the end for me but God gave me.

  • I’m proud my daughter didn’t get pregnant in college- Eminem declares

American rapper, Marshall Mathers better known as Eminem, has averred that he is happy his daughter did not get pregnant while in college.

The award winning rapper disclosed this while speaking with Mike Tyson, former boxer, on a recent episode of the Hot Boxin show.

“No babies, Just a boyfriend. She’s doing good,” Eminem replied when Tyson asked if Hailie, 24, had any children of her own.

He also described how much she has grown saying “it’s crazy.”

“She’s made me proud for sure,” Eminem said while stating that his daughter graduated from college with an impressive 3.9 GPA after studying psychology at Michigan State University.

Eminem also made reference to Alaina Mathers and Whitney Mathers, his two adopted children, alongside Kimberly Scott, his ex-wife.

He stated that it’s important to keep kids “grounded” when they grow up, knowing they have famous parents like himself and his wife.

“I have a niece that I have helped raised, too, that’s … pretty much like a daughter to me, and she is 26. And then I have a younger one that’s 17 now,” he said.

“So when I think about my accomplishments like that’s probably the thing that I’m the most proud of, you know, is that — is being able to raise kids.”

  • Sad! R.Kelly jailed after failing to pay more than $161,000 in child support

Sad! R.Kelly jailed after failing to pay more than $161,000 in child support

Musician R. Kelly was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon after failing to obey a judge’s order that he pay more than $161,000 in back child support.

Dozens of reporters and photographers crammed a narrow hallway to watch Kelly, sporting black sunglasses and a dark blue suit with a lighter blue dress shirt, as he made his way through security screening before the hearing began.

Kelly, who didn’t say anything audible, pulled off the shades as he walked into Judge Lori Rosen’s courtroom on the lower level of the Daley Center.

More than an hour after Kelly entered the closed court hearing, he was led away in handcuffs, accompanied by Cook County sheriff’s deputies. “He’s in our custody,” said Sophia Ansari, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.

Recall that judge Rosen last month warned Kelly that he faced jail time unless he paid the child support. During Wednesday’s hearing, Kelly was found in contempt and ordered into custody, according to Cara Smith, chief policy officer at the sheriff’s office.

Kelly must pay $161,663 to be released from jail, she said. His next court date is March 13.

The arrest comes less than two weeks after Kelly put up $100,000 to be released from custody on criminal sexual abuse charges.

Records connected to Kelly’s divorce case have been kept secret and out of public view. But paperwork on the back child support was made public in Kelly’s criminal court file. Kelly and his ex-wife have three children together.

Kelly’s publicist, Darryll Johnson, said the musician showed up with $50,000 or $60,000, but the judge wanted the full amount paid. “As you know, he hasn’t worked in a long time,” Johnson said.

When asked how Kelly can still live in the Trump Tower, he replied that Kelly “has some money.”

Kelly was “happy” when he arrived for the hearing, not thinking he would be jailed, Johnson said. But now he is “depressed, deflated and upset.” One man heckled Johnson as he spoke to the media.

The woman who posted Kelly’s bail after the criminal charges was at the Daley Center on Wednesday but left without speaking to reporters.

Kelly was indicted on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Cook County prosecutors allege he abused four victims, three of them underage girls, over a span of 12 years. Kelly and his attorney have vehemently denied the accusations.

  • So many women are imprisoned by their own curves- Lorraine Lionheart

UK-based Botswana artiste, Lorraine Lionheart who recently launched a sex based podcast called TASSO, has expressed her thoughts over how the African society judge curvy women.

The outspoken entertainer said the society feel they are stakeholders and feel they can tell curvy women what to wear and what not to wear.

She wrote on Instagram: “I have never understood why it is ok for slimmer women to wear whatever they want and reveal whatever they wish, owning their bodies and their sexuality publicly if they like without provoking anyone, but the moment you have curves society suddenly feel they are stakeholders in your body and can tell you what you can and can’t reveal, what you can and can’t wear. It is heartbreaking that so many women are imprisoned by their own curves because they have been conditioned to be ashamed of such amazing God’s display of creativity.

Not saying all women must flaunt their bodies. But I am saying all women must own their bodies and their sexuality. Their rights to do what they wish to do with their bodies must be respected.

Why is it that especially in black/African communities , a skinny woman can stroll down the beach wearing a thong and seen as beautiful but a curvy woman wearing the exact same thing doing the exact same thing is seen as sexually provocative and sometimes even shamed for public indecency and subjected to cat callings?

What is it that is so intimidating and threatening about a woman’s curves? About a woman taking total ownership of her body and her sexuality? Why is female power feared? A woman’s body is a very important part of her femininity, otherwise people who feel they are women trapped in men’s bodies would not feel the need to physically transform themselves. They would stay quite happily in feminine energy but with penises. We can teach young girls sacredness without conditioning them to fear their own bodies”
