How I got my breakthrough after attending Shiloh – Skales

Raoul Njeng-Njeng, the Nigerian singer popularly known as Skales, has attributed his career success to a prayer he offered at the Shiloh program of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, in 2013.

According to Skales via the microblogging platform X on Thursday, he had been experiencing career stagnation after his contract with Banky W’s Empire Mate Entertainment, EME, expired.

He noted that he got his biggest hit, ‘Shake Body’, after his colleague, Timaya, took him to Shiloh.

He explained that they were asked to write down seven things they want God to do for them, and he wrote that he desired a global hit song, seven times.

Skales said he believes his 2015 hit song ‘Shake Body’, which recently resurfaced as a global hit after Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and some of his teammates danced to it, was the fulfillment of his prayer.

On his X handle, the singer wrote, “In 2013 @timayatimaya took me to Shiloh and we were told to write down 7 things we are praying for and I wrote a song that will take me to the ends of the world 7 times … fast forward till today he gave me a divine unending song … when they think it’s over another thing pops up about this damn song… Lord Jesus, thank you.”

He wrote: “It’s quite unfortunate that someone lost his life but they had it coming. Imagine the trauma I and my family still face till now.

“I should be feeling bad but I actually don’t. They had it coming. Imagine that day I didn’t keep my cool they would have probably switched the story just like they tried to do and shot me or something. I will never forgive them. They had it coming.

“Corrupt agency trying to fight corruption, lol. I will never forgive them. They deserve it”.

“Well, when they came to my house, they didn’t ask, they didn’t knock, they just broke the door, and I’m not a fraudster. Plus, my whole family was there with me, including my newborn. Imagine being woken up with 4 AK47s and 3 Sledge glammers like a Gaddamm horror movie and all this because they saw luxurious cars in front of my house”.

When a Twitter user tried defending the Commission, Skales wrote,

“They are not good. They are evil people. That day, they were speaking to Hausa, saying, “They told them it’s an artiste house, but they don’t care.” Little did they know that I understand and speak Hausa. Also, when I replied in Hausa, they all shivered.

I had to move my family to a hotel and I slept at @jaypizzlebeat house for 3 days. I am happy it happened to them for real”.
