Idowu, a resident of No. 25, Okeolode Aremo area of Ibadan lamented that he regretted marrying her.

“My lord, in spite of my relentless endurance in our matrimony, Yemisi remained troublesome.

“In fact, I abandoned the house to her on Dec. 16, 2023 when she violently attacked me in the midnight.

Akintayo said that there was no marriage to be dissolved between Idowu and Yemisi because same never existed in the first place.

Contrary to I dowu’s prayers, the president of the court awarded custody of the three children in the union to Yemisi.

She directed Yemisi never to deny Idowu access to the children in addition to been jointly responsible for their welfare, education and other necessities.

Akintayo ordered them to go their separate ways from now on.

She also granted the order restraining Yemisi from threatening, harassing, disturbing and interfering in the private life of Idowu henceforth.

KWAM 1 speaks on being slapped by new wife, Emmanuella

Popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde also known as, KWAM 1, has debunked reports that he was slapped by his new wife, Emmanuella Ropo, over infidelity allegations.

KWAM 1 issued the disclaimer via his media advisor, Kunle Rasheed.

Recall that Wasiu and Emmanuella got married at the Palace of the Alake of Egbaland, Ake Abeokuta, in November 2021.

A popular gossip blogger had alleged that the famous singer and his wife, Emmanuella, had an altercation that became physical.

The blogger had also alleged Emmanuella accompanies him to his official engagements and distracts the Fuji lord on such occasions.

Reacting to the allegations, Mr. Rasheed said: ‘‘Mrs Emmanuella Ropo Marshal is very busy with her wifely duties than to follow the fuji lord to his official engagements. In recent times, the only party she has attended with her husband was the one held in GRA Ikeja Lagos when a top society buff who is a common friend of the couple celebrated his 60th birthday’’.

His statement partly read: ‘‘The said blogger had gone on social media, to allege that Fuji king and Mayegun of Yorubaland, K1 de Ultimate had quarreled with his new wife Emmanuella Ropo Marshal and that the lady had even slapped the fuji king during the said altercation.

“Ordinarily, we would not have bothered to exchange words with this barefaced liar who chooses the holy month of Ramadan to tell hideous lies.

“We merely want to state that at no time did the Mayegun quarrel with his wife Ropo to the extent of her raising her hands on him. We are shocked that such an allegation can be thrown so casually.

“We make bold to say that this allegation is malicious and shudder even more than it could be peddled during Ramadan. Therefore, let the evil peddlers repent and seek the face of Allah for forgiveness’’.

Slap: Will Smith banned from attending Oscars for 10 years

Hollywood’s film academy on Friday banned Will Smith from attending the Oscars for 10 years after the best actor winner slapped presenter Chris Rock on stage at the Academy Awards ceremony on March 27.

The board of governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences took the action at a meeting on Friday, a week after Smith had resigned from the group.

“The 94th Oscars were meant to be a celebration of the many individuals in our community who did incredible work this past year,” academy President David Rubin and Chief Executive Dawn Hudson said in a statement.

“However, those moments were overshadowed by the unacceptable and harmful behavior we saw Mr. Smith exhibit on stage.”

In a statement, Smith said, “I accept and respect the Academy’s decision.” The actor has issued statements apologizing to Rock, the Oscars producers, nominees and viewers.

In addition to the Oscars, the film world’s most prestigious awards, the board banned Smith from all other academy events and programs, in person or virtually, for 10 years.

At the March 27 televised ceremony, Smith strode up to the stage after comedian Rock made a joke about the appearance of the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, then smacked Rock across the face.

Less than an hour later, Smith gave a tearful speech on stage as he accepted the best actor award for his role in “King Richard,” portraying the father of tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams.

After the ceremony, he was seen dancing at Vanity Fair’s annual post-Oscars party.

Rock’s joke about Pinkett Smith made a reference to the 1997 film “G.I. Jane” in which actress Demi Moore shaved her head. It was unclear whether Rock was aware that she has a condition that causes hair loss.

The academy came under criticism for allowing Smith to stay in his seat at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood after the outburst and let him take the stage to accept his award.

In the Friday statement, the academy’s leaders said they did not adequately address the situation during the telecast.

“For this, we are sorry,” they said. “This was an opportunity for us to set an example for our guests, viewers and our Academy family around the world, and we fell short — unprepared for the unprecedented.”

They also expressed “deep gratitude to Mr. Rock for maintaining his composure under extraordinary circumstances.

“We also want to thank our hosts, nominees, presenters and winners for their poise and grace during our telecast,” they said.

“We also hope this can begin a time of healing and restoration for all involved and impacted.”
