    An Abuja-based business mogul and chieftain of the Labour Party, Godwin Agbasimalo has declared that based on the miss-steps and vituperations of Anambra governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, the Labour Party(LP) has given him a four-year quit notice.

    Addressing supporters, made up principally of youths and women at the Awka sensitization Youths’ Summit, Agbasimalo pointed that as the main political party on ground LP will unseat Soludo in the next Governorship poll in Anambra State.

    The Ezinifite-Nnewi-born High Chief and Board of Trustees member of LP charged Anambra electorates to jettison money-politics so that those Nigerians who assume that Igbo’s could be bought and sold would be disappointed.

    According to him, LP remains the main attraction nationwide, “because we are people-based party on ground nationwide, we will sweep the stakes in the entire poll in 2023”.

    The chairman of the Youth wing of LP who organized the summit, Ekene Nnadi in his opening remark noted that the sensitization summit and distribution of LP branded souvenirs was aimed at ensuring a sweeping victory for the party in the coming general election.

    The Anambra South Senatorial candidate of the party, Dr Obinna Uzor, urged for a sustained education campaign for the electorates to recognize the logo and be able to alwfor distinguish it from other party’s logo.

    Senator Victor Umeh, the Anambra Central senatorial candidate assured all the voters to stick to LP and her candidates for a revolution of good works when they get elected.

    The Anambra North senatorial candidate, Dr Tony Nwoye charged all to go pick up their voters cards, as that remain the tool with which to vote in LP massively.

    The national Organizing Secretary, Chief Clement Ojukwu expressed deep concern over the rising insecurity in the South East characterized by the infamous unknown gunmen. He therefore charged them to take back the nation by restoring security, peace and confidence.

    The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has replied to Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, following his antagonistic letter.

    Obi stressed that the schools that he could not roof as a trader governing the state then, the incumbent as a professor can roof them as part of the government.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that Soludo’s letter was released on Monday afternoon, which literally set the internet on fire.

    In the 4008-word piece, Soludo dismissed Obi, one of his predecessors as a joker in the 2023 race, saying he would only deplete the votes of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and widen the chances of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

    Tracing the multiple defections of Obi from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to PDP and Labour Party, which he described as a “transit camp” for aspirants who lost primaries, the governor said Obi himself knows that he cannot win.

    Soludo also took a swipe at Obi’s supporters whom he referred to as social media mob.

    Reacting, while speaking to the alumni association of the Lagos Business School at an event on Tuesday, Obi said Soludo remains his brother.

    The LBS Alumni Day themed, ‘The Leadership Imperative’ is one of the engagement platforms hosting political office seekers to answer questions and share their vision for the country.

    “When you spread your investment, some will go up, some will come down. But overall, the company is still there. The company is still doing well. It’s still part of a global chain and everything. I needed to explain it not because I’m defending comments made by my brother.”

    “My brother is a brother and remains my brother. We’re very close. I remain prayerful for him. Of other things which I didn’t succeed, God has given him the opportunity to do it and succeed.

    “For me…if there is anything pending, governance, governance you don’t finish. People are still in government in America. So, you stop where you stop. Other people will continue from there. I don’t look back. He is the governor of my state. He is my senior brother. He is even more intelligent than I am.

    “He is a professor and I am a trader. He knows more. So, he will be able to do this better than I’m doing it. I have done my little work as a trader. Now the professor is there, he will do his own thing as a professor. The schools that I didn’t roof, you roof them. That’s our government goes,” the LP presidential candidate said.

    The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has broken his silence over antagonizing comments made by the Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo.

    He stated that he has no time to reply or pay attention to Soludo who clamped down on him on Monday.

    Rather, he said he is preoccupied with convincing voters a new Nigeria is possible through rigorous campaigns.

    He spoke on Tuesday through the spokesperson of The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Organisation, Ndi Kato.

    Obi was reacting to a lengthy article by Soludo who declared the LP candidate cannot win the 2023 presidency.

    He said the Governor is desperate for the limelight, a desire he is not willing to meet.

    Kato explained that rather than dissipate energy responding to the fallacies contained in Soludo’s article, Obi remains focused on galvanizing support for the task of redeeming Nigeria from the precipice.

    According to her: “We read with amusement and dismay, a very lengthy and belaboured treatise of an article, written by Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Governor of Anambra State, focused on our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi.

    “It seems obvious that Professor Soludo is itching for limelight, in this election season, perhaps fired up by possible understanding or alliance with our struggling political opponents.

    “While we note the glaring fallacies, misrepresentations, personal insinuations and signs of personal vendetta in that long writeup, neither His Excellency Peter Obi, The Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Organisation, nor the Labour Party, for that matter, has any interest in an extended engagement with Prof Soludo this critical time when there is a bigger fish to fry.

    “His Excellency Peter Obi has his work well cut-out for him, this campaign season.

    “Primarily, he is accelerating his reach-out and influence to all Nigerians, rural and urban, in all areas, regions and states; and firmly engaging them, on his critical and visionary plans to take the country from consumption to production.

    “In doing this, Mr. Peter Obi is firmly placing the Youths, intensive Agricultural revolution, and revamping of critical areas of the economy as part of the focal points in the drive to turn around our fortunes and take back our country.

    A notable supporter of the Labour Party’s Presidential flagbearer and former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, has reacted to what he described as Prof Chukwuma Soludo’s treatise of illogicality and a bad attempt at journalistic warfare with, unfortunately himself.

    According to the visibly ardent supporter, Mr Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, “Mr Peter Obi and his official communication team are not interested in joining issues with him, nor any other person or group who is or are on a mercenary mission to distract the team from their focus of rescuing Nigeria from the shackles of bad governance brought about by years of incompetence, insensibility and corruption, which characters like Soludo, who has strove all these years to portray himself as an intellectual or even a technocrat, contributed more than a lot to.

    “Those who know Soludo closely have held strongly to the convinction that he is a “well packaged fraud” and a clay-brained intellectual, who was driven to the top by a combination of good fortunes, deceptive loyalty, inveigle, and a dangerous willingness to do dirty jobs for money or for power.

    “Many of us, especially, those of my age who were undergraduate activists at the onset of the Fourth Republic, when his likes were packaged as saints and geniuses and given a lot more credit than they deserve, have a Comrade, who was apparently taken over by the media creation of a sterling, brilliant image of the now better unveiled invidious Isuofia local chief. ..”

    According to Mr Onwuasoanya, “We have all since seen the real Stars of that Obasanjo era move on to higher callings in the international community, with Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, who is actually the star of that administration now holding sway at the World Trade Organisation after many other notable international appointments. But, in what should be the clearest evidence of his intellectual inefficiency, Soludo has rather been shuttling from Aso Rock to Agu Awka, with bowl in hand seeking anointing to be governor or to be settled with one appointment or the other by the federal government.

    “For a man who would want us to recognise and probably prostrate before him as an economic egghead, yet, his advice and recommendations are partly responsible for the economic disaster we are confronted with in the current Buhari administration, as he is one of the few men appointed into the Buhari Economic Advisory Board. How can a man who advised Nigeria into an unprecedented crash in the value of the Naira, lowest ever GDP in recent history, highest ever inflation since 1999, worse cost of living crisis in the history of Nigeria and of course, the most negative economic outlook in recent Nigerian history, consider himself qualified to pontificate on the right economic practices?

    ” Apparently When Soludo took up his tablet or any device he wrote with, he probably thought very lowly of Nigerians, if he thought anyone would take him seriously, giving his self-glorifying panegyric. Let me try to interrogate paragraph by paragraph, Soludo’s ignominious drivel into historical infamy.

    “It is obvious from the first paragraph of the long-winded venom, that our Isuofia brother was out for a dirty paid job. Not for himself, nor for his Party, but for his employers; the Abuja cabal and the bat. If an executive governor could sit down and personally author a piece of humorless comedy in response to what he aptly described as social media trolling of his by individuals he couldn’t identify by name or their official positions, then there is no better way to describe such a governor, but as an insecure miscast in power. If Soludo was not a miscast in Agu Awka, he should have known that he would only need to respond to statements made from official quarters or those that come directly from his “peers”. “Unfortunately, like every intellectual error, like a village cat who would always shout to roar his tigritude. “Soludo only wanted to remind people that he is a Professor and that he can write. Expectedly, he wrote gibberish.

    “I do not agree with him that he reads “The Man in the Arena” regularly, because if he did, he wouldn’t have gone ahead in a later paragraph to categorically dismiss the chances of the real man in the arena as long as the 2023 election is concerned. He would have taken to heart a stanza in that epigram which reads;

    “…who at the best knows the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

    “If Soludo got his training right, he would have known that there is nowhere in Igbo custom or belief system where it is assumed or affirmed that saying the truth is suicidal or dangerous. We say in Igbo that “Eziokwu bu ndu” and we are always encouraged to say the truth always. Mischievous elders like Chief Soludo are the ones who consider saying the truth a dangerous act, hence, speak equivocally and tell us it is being diplomatic. Like it is obvious in his long and misdirected recrimination, Chief Soludo has nothing to say but to pour out his bitterness and deliver on a dirty job for which he was deployed by his Abuja bosses. So, it is nonsensical for him to say he would refrain from saying certain things. That was a subtle appeal for ceasefire from the Obidients. He wants us to become afraid that he might spill the beans, hence, leave him alone. That’s an overused blackmailing strategy which doesn’t work on people like us.

    “No matter how stringently he tries to deny it, Soludo is clearly envious of Peter Obi, and I will give you five reasons why he is; 1. Peter Obi is a multibillionaire with clear evidences of how he made his every Kobo, and who, even though has never been indicted by any anti-graft agency in this country. If Soludo claims that he is a billionaire today, we will subject him to thorough investigation because he has been a salary earner all his life, and with what we know about his legitimate earnings, he would be a thief to be a billionaire. 2. Peter Obi is the most popular and masses-oriented Nigerian politician alive. Soludo would be ready to sacrifice everything he has to enjoy 10% of the love Peter Obi enjoys from Nigerians. 3. Peter Obi has kept a clean record throughout his stay in public office. Had Soludo not been desperately romancing with every government in power, he would probably had been in jail now for the multibillion Naira scam he is being investigated for by the EFCC. 4. Peter Obi’s first political outing was on his own terms, when he won the governorship of Anambra State, Soludo may be one obscure and probably frustrated lecturer in some not too Ivy League University somewhere, if Obasanjo hadn’t been sold a dummy that he was hiring a firebrand economist, who turned out to be the shlockiest appointee in Obasanjo’s economic and who would have wrecked our economy had Obasanjo not had an Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala at the helm of the economic team. 5. Peter Obi governed Anambra for eight years without using the power of a governor or the resources of Ndi Anambra to fund his children’s career. In less than one year as Anambra governor, Chief Soludo has used Anambra’s resources and his powers as governor to organise a fashion show for his daughter and to launch an album for his son. It is clear enough that without him becoming Anambra governor, these children of his might have as well not got any mention in the industry they are trying to play in.

    “You do not say that someone is your friend, you show that you are someone’s friend. Yours is certainly not the kind of friendship anyone would want to keep, because you are a dangerous friend. No true friend takes to the public to sing about purported private discussions he had with a friend.

    “Assuming you actually offered Peter Obi the option of joining APGA to run for presidency, it is because Peter Obi has seen through your treachery and knows that APGA would not provide the platform for him to run an effective and successful presidential campaign, that he turned down that poisoned chalice of a gift. And you cannot claim to be a true democrat in one breath and in another boast about how you planned to impose someone as your Party’s candidate without following the laid down democratic principles of election. Peter Obi joined Labour Party because no single individual would decide what happens to him and what doesn’t. The APGA ticket was a setup to extinguish the fire of his campaign. And, would he have been joining the Victor Oye illegal executive or the authentic executive led by Edozie Njoku?”

    A former governorship candidate of the African Democratic Party (ADP), Babatunde Gbadamosi has criticised Anambra state governor, Charles Soludo, for condemning Peter Obi’s investments in Anambra.

    Soludo while speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today, said the investments by Peter Obi for the State are now worth next to nothing.

    “I don’t know about those investments. There was something I read about somebody speculating about the value of whatever investments; what I have seen today, the value of those investments is worth next to nothing.

    “When you talk about investments, that is an area that I think I know one or two things and I have been able to do that. Investment is not about going to invest in a bakery. That is not what the government is about. Because if the bakery goes down, then your investment goes down,” Soludo said.

    Reacting to Soludo’s statement via his Twitter handle, Gbadamosi wrote; ”I am beyond disgusted with Soludo ignoring Obiano & blaming Obi for the failure of investments he handed over to Obiano. He showed a dark side of himself today that I think is driven by his own Presidential ambition. He wants to stop any Igbo man from getting it before himself.”

    Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has flagged off the construction of a 16.4 kilometres road from Nawfija to Ogbunka running through Akpu, Ufuma, Ajali in Orumba North Local Government Area of the state.

    Soludo, while performing the ceremony, said when the road was completed, it would take 15 minutes for motorists to drive from Awka to Ufuma.

    The governor said that the road would be ready by the time he would clock one year in office.

    The contractor was awarded to Datum Construction Nigeria Limited with completion time of 10 months.

    He noted that Anambra people were in dire need of roads and promised to build roads from Nanka, Igboukwu to Ikenga, Obosi, Abagana, Nimo and Awka, in order of priority.

    “Roads at Okpoko, Mmiata, Amansea through Ebenebe, Awba-Ofemili shall be constructed and a bridge from Awba-Ofemili to Anyamelum shall be built.

    “Also, roads from Ufuma to Awa, through Ndiukwuenu to Amansea will be fixed; I will inspect every road that shall be constructed before embarking on the construction”.

    According to Soludo, the quality of roads we are building has never been done in the state, they are guaranteed to last for 20 years.

    “But we have all our personal responsibility and it should never be taken for granted,” he said.

    Soludo said Nnewi, the largest industrial town in Anambra would also get the necessary attention on roads and other infrastructure.

    He called on the people of the state to continue to support the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and vote for the party’s National Assembly candidates in the next election.

    He said his administration was adopting the philosophy of ‘being your brothers’/ sisters’ keeper’ which is the motto of APGA.

    According to him, for these roads to continue, Orumba North and South should understand that this is an APGA project.

    “Our victory will aid his government to continue developing Orumba by attracting resources from Abuja to state level,” he said.

    Anambrarians groan over collapse of roads, urge Soludo to buckle up

    As the yuletide draws near, the deplorable state of roads in Anambra State has become worrisome, with many motorists complaining of the condition of both internal roads in many cities in the State, including federal highways.

    In Awka, the State capital, almost every road is in a very deplorable condition. From roads inside the Government House to the residential areas behind the Government House, to other parts of the State capital, including Ifite, Okpuno, Mgbakwu, Unizik junction and villages within the Awka community, residents are groaning.

    This has led to public outcry by some residents of Awka, who have called on the State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, to buckle up and begin to show why he was preferred above candidates of other political parties in the November 2021 governorship election.

    Mr Ejike Sunday, a driver who plies the Awka – Ifite route said: “The problem of roads in Awka is just getting out of hand. Every day, what is uppermost in the mind of the State governor is which new tax he should impose on the people, but he does not consider the kind of suffering we go through everyday to make money.

    “The only time I drive with happiness while moving from Amawbia to Ifite is when I enter the express from UNIZIK junction and ply it to Aroma. But from Amawbia, I encounter a lot of bad roads, and once I’m at Aroma, it is the worst to drive from there to Ifite. Ifite has the worst roads that anyone can think of, yet we have commissioners quarters there, and many big government officials and professors of UNIZIK live there.”

    Another respondent, Mr Joseph Abana, a laundry man said: “My shop is at Nodu, Okpuno, and I also live here. We know that the state of roads in Anambra State cannot be blamed on Soludo, but we are only calling on him to do something. The state of roads around Awka capital territory is very bad. Government needs to look into it.”

    A DAILY POST reporter who moved round Awka on Wednesday reports that several roads, including very prominent ones in the State capital territory are in bad shape. Prominent among them are Arthur Eze Avenue, connecting Unizik junction and the popular Eze Awka market, Oby Okoli Street, which connects Unizik junction to Mgbakwu, Ifite road, which connects Aroma to Nnamdi Azikiwe University through the back gate.

    Others are roads inside Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka, High Tension road, which connects Aroma junction to Amaenyi, Dike street, which connects Zik Avenue to Sammy Sparkle and Udoka housing estate. Several other roads within the State capital are near impassable too.

    But the State governor, Soludo seems to appreciate the fact that the indigenes are concerned about the state of roads in the State.

    Recently, Governor Soludo declared a state of emergency in the state of roads in the State. During a recent visit to various communities, Soludo flagged-off the construction of roads in the State, and pledged to continue, while describing roads as very important infrastructure.

    The State commissioner for information, Mr Paul Nwosu, who spoke to DAILY POST, described the governor’s revolution in roads as one that will not end anytime soon.

    The commissioner said the roads that had been awarded include: Ezira-Umuomaku-Enugwu Umuonyia-Achina road, 12.5km long and 8m wide, awarded to Tamad Construction Ltd at the cost of N4,68billion.

    “This is in furtherance of making driving around Anambra State pleasurable. The road will be completed in 12 months.

    “Construction of Ozubulu-Ihembosi-Ukpor road also got ANSEC’s nod to be awarded and commenced. Measuring 6.05km and 10m wide, the work has been awarded to Wakema Construction Company Ltd at the cost of N3.9billion, and Wakema is expected to finish the job in 8 months,” he said.

    He also disclosed that the Anambra executive council also revalidated and awarded Ukpor-Umunuko-Nza Ozubulu road at the cost of N1.2billion to IDC Construction Nig Ltd., adding that a subsisting contract for the Okpunoeze-Nnewi Hotel road, Nnewi was also revalidated and approved by ANSEC at the sum of N1.7billion, which was awarded to Benejaf.

    Meanwhile, some people have raised eyebrows about the continuous award of road contracts in the hinterlands, when Awka the State capital has many impassable roads.

    “We pray that Soludo will not be like his predecessors in the area of development of Awka. Peter Obi tried when he brought UN-Habitat to plan the State, and promised to make Awka what it should be in terms of being a State capital, but he left office without the willpower to implement the recommendations of UN-Habitat. His successor came, and it is under him that Awka is this dirty. We are hoping that Soludo will be able to do it, but he seems to have decided to concentrate on opening up the hinterlands, which is also good,” a resident said.

    Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo is, however, not relenting as he has awarded more road projects in Nnewi. The Governor embarked on an assessment tour of the very bad roads in Nnewi, including Ogbufo, Okpunoeze Uruagu Nnewi, and Umudim Road, among others.

    Speaking at Okpunoeze Uruagu Nnewi Road, the Governor said that he came personally to inspect the road and feel the pulse of the people by himself.

    “I assure you that the contractors will commence work on the road soonest, once the rain subsides. This constructed road will go all the way to Teaching Hospital and Nkwo Nnewi.

    “We are very particular about roads that play very vital roles in the lives of the people. We want to ensure that communities are linked together because that is one of the ways to enthrone economic prosperity in the State”. Governor Soludo assured.

    Mr. Don Onyenji, Anambra Commissioner For Culture, Entertainment, and Tourism, has called on operators of Lottery and Betting activities to carry on their businesses as allowed by the extant law.

    Onyenji urged the operators to disregard the information in circulation that the Anambra government has placed a ban on their activities in the state.

    The latest directives are contained in a press release signed by the Commissioner in Awka on Saturday.

    “The attention of the Anambra state Government has been drawn to the various misinterpretations of its directives to operators of Casino Games domiciled in hotels and restaurants in the state to suspend their operations.

    “This was as a result of written and video petitions on suspected fraudulent practices, lack of transparency and non-payment of Game winnings to players.

    “Part of the directives reads ‘The Anambra State Ministry of Culture, Entertainment, And Tourism in collaboration with the Anambra state Internal Revenue Service AIRS and the Ministry of Homeland Affairs hereby directs all operators of Casino Games within Hotels, Restaurants and Bars to suspend all operations with immediate effect.

    “The suspension will last until the conclusion of investigations,” he said.

    The commissioner said that all Hotel Owners and Bars in the State have been invited to a meeting to discuss security and other services and policy issues.

    However, he said, “it is grossly unfortunate that some mischief makers added lottery and Betting activities and organisations to the ban.”

    He said that the Government at this moment states categorically that the suspension was only directed at Casino Games operators in the hotels and hospitality outfits, excluding all other betting centers in the state.

    Onyenji said that the government has identified the owners of the particular casino machine and has advanced investigations on the complaint.

    He said that the sites involved in the complaint have temporarily shut down their machines.

    Onyenji assured that Government would conclude investigations in a record time when the reported case is fairly handled and discharged.

    He said the organisation will be allowed to return to its business quickly when all assurances to protect the players’ interest are made.

    The commissioner assured that the government is on ground to protect all such operators, guarantee the safety of their business in the State.

    He appealed to all business operators in the state to go about their operations undisturbed and discountenance the false reports of ‘fifth columnists’.

    Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has revealed that some of the gunmen who participated in an assassination attempt on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah have been arrested.

    TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) reports Soludo revealed this on Friday when he visited Enugwu-Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state, the same community where the attack happened about a month ago.

    Ubah had lost four security aides and two personal assistants during the attack, but he was able to escape in his bulletproof car. But during the burial of Pa Boniface Nwankwo, father of Hon. Dozie Nwankwo who represents Dunukofia, Njikoka, Anaocha federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Soludo announced that the culprits have been arrested and that security operatives were on the trail of the other members of the gang who were at large.

    Soludo said: “Three weeks ago, it was in this same community that some elements choose to attack Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. I want to tell you that we have arrested a number of those involved in that attack. We are still on the trail of the remaining people.

    “We will not let people like that define who we are. This is Anambra State, and we are peaceful people. We must embrace peace, even in the coming election.     Dozie Nwankwo in a speech thanked all who graced the burial, confirming that despite political differences, political players in the state are peaceful and see each other as their brothers. Other guests who joined the bereaved family to eulogize the deceased included wife of the president, Mrs. Aisha Buhari who participated virtually during the burial mass; former Rivers State governor, Rt Hon Rotimi Amaechi; senators Victor Umeh, Uche Ekwunife, and many other dignitaries.

    Anambra state to wear new look as Governor Charles Soludo endorses contracts for flyover and more roads.

    On assuming office, the Anambra governor who is barely one year in office had promised to change the road map of one of the oldest states in Nigeria.

    To bring this to reality, the State Executive Council (ANSEC) recently approved and awarded contracts for the construction of a flyover at Ekwulobia to decongest the hellish traffic jam often experienced at the roundabout. Other adjoining roads around the area to be constructed include the Nanka –Ekwulobia – Aguata local government headquarters road (2.0km); Ekwulobia – Oko road (0.825km) and Ekwulobia – Isuofia road (1.125km). Other ancillary structures and facilities to be built around the Ekwulobia hub are, a bus terminal building, fuel station, security office building, fire station and other external works such as sewage treatment facilities, drainage, landscaping, etc. All the construction work will be handled by A.V. Vision Construction Nig Ltd at the cost of N10,100,000, 000.00 (ten billion, one hundred million) and the work is to be completed in 18 months.

    Also to be constructed by A.V. Vision Construction Nig Ltd are the Isuofia to Nanka Road with spur to Nanka/Obi Adimorah Road (2.2km and 10.3m wide) at the cost of N748,000,085.05k (seven hundred and forty eight million, eighty five naira, fifty kobo).

    Six vital roads in Awka, the capital city of the state that were also among the set of contracts just awarded include, the Club (Abakaliki) Road (2.078km); Regina Caeli to Y Junction (1.173km); Millenium Industry – INEC – Ekwueme Square (1.762km) and Unizik Temp Site – Okpuno – Isuaniocha Junction (6.847km). Others are, Chukwudifu Street (0.297km) and PPSSC – NECO office Road (0.473km). The construction of these roads have been awarded to Niger Construction Company Ltd (Nigercat) at the cost of N6,665,960,804.70k (six billion, six hundred and sixty five million, nine hundred and sixty thousand, eight hundred and four naira, seventy kobo and the company has a target of 10 months to complete the job.

    The construction of Oye Agu Abagana to Nimo Road with spur at Nimo road (5.12km and 10.3m wide) was equally awarded Triconstruct Nig Ltd at the cost of N1,600,013,018.72k (0ne billion, six hundred million, thirteen thousand, eighteen naira, seventy two kobo). The company has 8 months to finish the work.
