Stan Alieke, the legal representative of Speed Darlington, has severed ties with the controversial Nigerian singer.

TheNewsGuru reports that the controversial singer was arrested on November 27 while performing at a show in Owerri, Imo State, over allegations of cyberstalking Grammy award-winning musician Burna Boy.

The singer’s detention comes after his colleague Burna Boy filed a petition against him, for using social media to question the authenticity of his Grammy award, linking the A-list artiste to embattled music mogul Sean Combs, known as P Diddy or Puff Daddy.

He suggested that Burna Boy may have had a sexual relationship with the American music executive.

The case has since been in court, with Darlington only regaining freedom on January 21 2025, after his prolonged detention.

Alike, an Abuja-based lawyer, was of the lawyers representing Speed Darling in his legal battle with singer, BurnaBoy.

However, in a new turn of event, the lawyer announced the termination of his work with Speed Darlington via his Instatories on Sunday night.

The post reads: “I and my law firm (Law Capitol) has officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr Darlingtn Achakpo AKA, Speed Darlington and henceforth ceases to act as his legal attorneys.”

‘Avoid lawsuits, some will humble you’ — Darlington’s lawyer advises

Stan Alieke, the lawyer of controversial social media sensation and music star Speed Darlington, has advised the public to avoid getting into legal issues.

Through his verified Instagram stories on Saturday, the legal practitioner cautioned those who recklessly invites trouble, believing their lawyers will perform magic and get them out.
