    Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi to be signed by West Ham for £25 million

    West Ham is holding talks with Lorient over a deal to sign Super Eagles striker, Terem Moffi, for £ 25 million.

    The deal is set to be £20m and an additional £5m for Moffi.

    Terem Moffi is a Nigeria international, who has scored 12 goals in 18 games this season.

    He arrived at the French club in 2020. The 23-year-old has racked up 59 goals in 135 games and helped them avoid a relegation scrap last season.

    With the Hammers currently 18th in the Premier League table after a poor run of form, bringing in a fresh striker with experience could help them avoid the drop.

    Moffi left Nigeria and moved to England to join the Buckswood Football Academy in Hastings at the age of 17. He then took his talents to Lithuania where he played for Kauno Zalgiris and Riteriai.

    Moffi later had a short spell at Belgian side Kortrijk before joining Lorient in October 2020.

    Super Eagles and Lorient of France striker Terem Moffi  is being sough after by English Premier League clubside, West Ham Football Club.

    Ace Journalist and soccer pundit, Ryan Taylor broke the news.

    According to him, there is a big gap between Lorient’s asking price and what the Premier League clubs are ready to offer at the moment.

    he said “In terms of West Ham’s interest in Moffi, I believe they’ve held negotiations to sign the player,” said Taylor.

    “But at the same time there is a differentiation of price Lorient are looking for and West Ham are prepared to pay.

    “Lorient are really willing to do business. They are looking at £20-25m for the striker. Premier League clubs are willing to pay around £15m.”

    meanwhile the Nigerian striker, Terem Moffi took his goal tally to 11 for this season after he scored for Lorient in their 2-2 draw against Monaco

    The Super Eagles star eventually proved his quality for Les Merlus. After Breel Embolo put Monaco in front in the 61st minute, Dango Ouattara scored equalized for Lorient 14 minutes later.

    Moffi is competing for the highest goal scorer’s chart in France coming third behind Kyllian Mbappe with 13 goals and Neymar on 11 same as Moffil.

    Super Eagles Striker, Umar puts pen to paper for Real Sociedad

    Super Eagles forward,  Sadiq Umar, has put pen to paper for Spanish La Liga giants Real Sociedad on a six-year deal worth €26M plus add- ons.

    Umar Joined Real Sociedad from another Spanish side, Almeria which recently gained promotion to the elite division.

    Umar was acquired to replace  Swedish Striker, Alexander Isak who signed for English Premier League side Newcastle on a permanent deal.

    The lanky Nigerian forward who already has two goals in the Spanish La Liga this season playing for Almeria will wear jersey number 25 at his new club.

    Sociedad paid €20m plus €6m add-ons to acquire the services of the striker.

    “Sociedad has reached an agreement with UD Almería for the transfer of Sadiq Umar. La Real, in turn, has reached an agreement with the player until the end of the 27-28 season. He will wear number 25,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.

    The 25-year-old joined Almeria in 2020 and scored 41 goals for the Rojiblancos.

    He also enjoyed a prolific spell with his previous club, Partizan Belgrade of Serbia, where he scored 23 goals in 52 appearances.

    Super Eagles forward, Osimhen dreams of playing for Arsenal

    Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen is being sought-after by Arsenal fc of England and the Napoli striker is already dreaming of playing at the Emirates.

    Arsenal are in need of strikers for next season’s campaign and beyond and Osimhen is on their radar.

    Earlier in March a report surfaced that Arsenal dreamt of signing the Nigerian. It comes after a campaign in which he has scored 16 goals in 28 games in all competitions for Napoli.

    Meanwhile, they are not ready to let him go on the cheap at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Napoli have tabled a huge sum of 84 Million Pounds on the 23 year-old attacker.

    Should Arsenal sign him, Osimhen would be the club’s highest signing ever in history.

    According to Corriere dello Sport, Osimhen is dreaming of either moving to Arsenal or Manchester United this summer.

    ”Signing Osimhen would excite a lot of Arsenal supporters. He has been described as a ‘phenomenal‘ striker. And he has an impressive record over his career.

    ”But clearly, his asking price makes such a move a gamble. Arsenal ideally need to sign more than one goalscorer during the coming months. And clearly, that would be a lot more difficult if he joins for £84 million.

    ”Much may depend on how much Arsenal have to work with over the summer. And they will surely be hoping that Napoli are open to a compromise on the price.

    Almeria fc striker Sadiq Umar is on the radar of Segunda A side Sevilla football club. Sadiq’s recent good run of form as put him in an advantage position to be signed by Sevilla.

    According to Spanish tabloid, estadiodeportivo, Sevilla sporting director, Monchi, is believed to be a huge fan of the former Partizan Belgrade man and is ready to seal a deal quickly for the Nigerian ahead of other interested clubs.

    Several reports also claim La Liga giants Barcelona and English Premier League club Newcastle have shown interest in the striker.

    Since his return from the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, Almeria are back to winning ways, having struggled without their key player. They are now back in the second position, following four consecutive victories, with Sadiq scoring five goals and providing two assists in those games.

    Sevilla failed in their bid to sign the 25-year-old during the January transfer window after Almeria turned down their offer of €20m for the striker.

    With Sevilla eager to try again ahead of next season, the website wrote that Almeria are standing firm on a fee of €60m, the player’s release clause.

    Super Eagles and Almeria striker, Umar Sadiq has been nominated for the Spanish Segunda Division Player of the Month award for February.

    The 25-year-old returned from the Africa Cup of Nations to halt Almeria’s poor form in the league. He powered them to victory in all four matches in February compared to no wins in the four where their talisman was away.

    Super Eagles striker contracts Coronavirus

    Super Eagles striker, Paul Onuachu, has contracted the deadly Coronavirus (COVID-19).

    The player tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday, while the result of his mates, Stephen Odey and Cyril Dessers at Belgian club Genk, came out negative.

    “In the run-up to the first exhibition game of the season, the entire Genk group was tested yesterday (Tuesday),” a report on Belgian website hln.be stated, adding that: “Everyone tested negative except Onuachu.”

    The 26-year-old Nigeria international left Belgium for Nigeria on May 27, alongside fellow Eagles strikers Victor Osimhen and Imoh Ezekiel.

    He returned to his club on June 28 after he was stranded for a week in Lagos due to travel restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

    Meanwhile, the Super Eagles striker becomes the second Nigerian footballer to contract Coronavirus after Akpan Udoh, the first footballer to be infected, in February 2020.
