How a 29-year-old woman quit job and became full-time witch; Earns $8,500 monthly

Jessica Caldwell, 29, decided to quit her job of five years when she had a “spiritual awakening” while scrolling through Instagram during one of her nail-technician shifts.

She was working six days a week at a salon until she stumbled across a Facebook group in 2019.

“The Facebook group was filled with posts where people explained their journeys into witchcraft,” she told SWNS. “It fascinated me, and I felt really drawn to know more.”

Caldwell, from Swansea, Wales, said she, “purchased crystals, tarot cards and a few herbs,” but when she bought witchcraft books online, she discovered she has a talent for reading tarot cards and “fell in love with crystals.”

“At first, I was extremely skeptical, but I was really curious,” she shared. “On my breaks at work in the salon, I’d be researching tarot cards and crystals. I became obsessed. I felt like it was a pull towards it all, it felt really natural to me.”

Caldwell started by offering her services free of charge to family and friends, and then demand increased, and she gave readings to strangers online.

Caldwell remembered one client that “shocked” her.

”I had this woman approach me for a reading, and I kept getting the name ‘Steve.’ Eventually I had to say something — which she revealed was the name of her partner,” she shared. “I was spooked but amazed by my intuition.”

In January 2021, she set up an Instagram offering witch and tarot-card services full time — and immediately got a flood of requests.

Caldwell selects tarot cards for her client and records her readings on a voice memo, which usually are five to 10 minutes long, charging anywhere between $5 and $75.

“It just exploded online. Within six months, I had 16,000 followers,” she shared.

Now, she has 24,800 followers and over 5,000 clients — exclusively on social media — and reads tarot cards for celebrities and models.

She’s even making three times as much as she did as a beautician.

Caldwell believes her talent has always been within her.

“I’ve always been a witch,” she said. “I just never had the tools to utilize my power until now. Intuition is a powerful tool that I never realized I used in my daily life. Now I utilize it within my readings with complete strangers.”

The witch admitted that her family and friends were concerned when she turned her intuition into a full-time career, but now that she’s raking in money, they’re supportive of her.

Many of her clients ask her about love and what their partner thinks of them, putting Caldwell in a situation to “have to tell them the brutal truth.”

“Some people just want a nice chat which can be just as helpful as a reading,” she said. ”I also give free advice on spell work and spirituality. I show people how to create protection charms. I even show them how to attract people to you.”

She admitted that she does get a few trolls online, but all of her clients are “respectful and lovely.”

Caldwell works 10 hours per day, getting to “pick and choose” her own hours, and works from home.

She hopes more women will join in on the witchy lifestyle.

“It’s really changed my life, it’s my calling. I do always encourage other women to give it a try. I’ve been on such a journey of discovery,” she said. ”A reading can discover so much about someone’s life. It’s like therapy for them. I always get people crying, saying that I’ve changed their life.”

“Additionally, I do everything within the comfort of my own home. I don’t see myself ever going back to [the] salon,” she continued. “I wish more women and men would trust their intuition. It’s a powerful tool when used properly.”

Frank Lampard’s possible next club revealed

Former Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, is set to become the manager of English club, Swansea.

According to talkSPORT, Lampard has emerged among the favourites to become Swansea next new manager.

The Chelsea legend tops the list for the Swansea job alongside Eddie Howe.

Others have also been linked for the Swansea job such as John Terry, Neil Lennon, Alex Neil, Paul Warne, Gareth Ainsworth and Tony Pulis.

Swansea are currently on the hunt for a new manager after the departure of Steve Cooper, 41.

Cooper guided Swansea to the Championship play-off final in May this year.

But Swansea, however, missed out on promotion to the Premier League to Brentford.

Cooper was linked with a host of jobs earlier this summer

  • Brentford progress into English Premier League for first time

Brentford progress into English Premier League for first time

Brentford secured promotion to the English Premier League (EPL) for the first time in their history with a 2-0 victory over Swansea City in Saturday’s Championship play-off final.

The Bees lost at this stage last season to London rivals Fulham but were in no mood to be denied this time around and were 2-0 up inside 20 minutes.

Ivan Toney’s 10th-minute penalty kick, his 33rd goal of an amazing campaign, opened the scoring, and Brentford’s lead was doubled by Emiliano Marcondes just under 10 minutes later.

Swansea were much improved in the second half, but Jay Fulton’s red card effectively sealed victory for Brentford as they clinched a first promotion to the top flight since 1935.

It ended their 74-year absence from the highest domestic level, having been relegated back in 1947.

Toney had scored all 10 of his previous penalty kicks this season and never looked likely to err after goalkeeper Freddie Woodman felled Bryan Mbeumo.

That was when he was played in by Sergi Canos’ superb reverse pass.

He duly made it 11 from 11 by calmly slotting beyond former Newcastle United team-mate Woodman and into the bottom-left corner.

Toney’s record from the penalty kick spot was the best of any player in England’s top four tiers in all competitions.

Swansea struggled to respond to that early setback and they were soon given a mountain to climb when Mads Rasmussen expertly picked out Marcondes at the end of a counter-attack.

The Dane rifled a fine finish into the bottom-right corner.

And the Bees were almost out of sight as Toney cracked a spectacular volley against the underside of the crossbar.

Woodman was grateful to see the ball bounce on the line and out.

Swansea did stem the tide thereafter and went close in the final minute of normal time in the first half as Andre Ayew sent a header off the top of the bar.

They started the second half by skewing Ayew’s diving header wide from Connor Roberts’ cross.

Jamal Lowe crafted some promising openings for the Swans but Fulton was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge on Mathias Jensen.

It gave Brentford fans cause to start the celebrations early on a landmark day for the club.

Swansea were looking to end a three-season stay in the second tier following Premier League relegation in 2018, but Brentford will instead make their debut in the division.

They become the 50th different club to grace the league since its inception in 1992.

Their 86 years between promotions to the top-flight is the second-longest gap behind Bradford City, who ended a wait of 91 years in 1999.

Brentford could start the season against the European champions, with games against Manchester City and Chelsea on the horizon.

For Swansea, it is another term in the Championship, with the likes of Peterborough United and Luton Town lying in wait.

  • Chelsea defender completes loan move to Swansea

Chelsea defender Marc Guehi has joined Swansea on loan until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

The 19-year-old has already taken in a training session with his new team-mates, and will be available for selection when the Swans face local rivals Cardiff City on Sunday.

Guehi was only able to appear in two Carabao Cup matches for Chelsea in the first half of the season, with the wait for his full Premier League debut still ongoing.

The talented England U21 international is likely to play far more regularly at the Liberty Stadium, and Swansea will have the option to extend his loan for an extra year in the summer.

Guehi was born in the Ivory Coast and signed for Chelsea at the tender age of eight, before making his way through the club’s youth ranks.

  • EPL: Lukaku records milestone as Manchester United defeat Swansea

Romelu Lukaku became the first Belgian to reach 100 Premier League goals as Manchester United quickly regained second place in the table from Liverpool with a comfortable 2-0 win over Swansea City on Saturday.

The powerful striker put his team in front within five minutes from a pass by Alexis Sanchez, who added the second quarter of an hour later.

United, with record signing Paul Pogba back in the side, were dominant, although David de Gea did have to make two saves from Tammy Abraham.

Swansea, revitalised under Jose Mourinho’s friend and compatriot Carlos Carvalhal, remain three points above the relegation zone but drop down a place to 15th.

Swansea improved after the break, with Tammy Abraham twice denied by David de Gea, but United were always in control.

Jose Mourinho’s side re-opened a two-point gap over third-placed Liverpool, who won 2-1 at Crystal Palace earlier on Saturday.

  • Swansea moves out of bottom three after thrashing West Ham

Swansea moved out of the relegation zone as they comfortably dispatched a dismal West Ham side to seal a seventh consecutive home win.

Ki Sung-yueng shot low into the corner from Andre Ayew’s pass to open the scoring inside 10 minutes, before Mike van der Hoorn nodded in the South Korean’s corner amid slack marking.

Between those two first-half goals, Winston Reid was put in a neck brace and taken off on a stretcher after suffering a bad injury in a goalmouth scramble.

He received treatment for 10 minutes after appearing to be knocked unconscious, and was taken to hospital for a scan.

After the break, West Ham crumbled further. Andy King tapped in the rebound from an Adrian save that denied Andre Ayew’s header from another corner, before Cheikhou Kouyate tripped Ayew in the box.

Andre’s brother Jordan Ayew coolly slotted the spot-kick into the corner to round off a vital win that was only slightly dampened by Michail Antonio’s late consolation, the substitute winger finishing from Aaron Cresswell’s delivery.

Carlos Carvalhal’s impressive work continues. His team are now up to 13th in the table – climbing above the Hammers on goal difference – having been bottom when he took over in late December.

West Ham drop to 14th, with both sides still only three points clear of the bottom three.

  • Swansea record biggest-ever FA Cup win netting eight past Notts County

Swansea record biggest-ever FA Cup win netting eight past Notts County

Swansea recorded their biggest-ever FA Cup win as Notts County were demolished 8-1 in Tuesday night’s fourth-round replay at the Liberty Stadium.

First-half braces from Tammy Abraham and Nathan Dyer, as well as second-half efforts from Kyle Naughton, Wayne Routledge, Tom Carroll and debutant Daniel James, saw Swansea cruise into a last-16 tie away to manager Carlos Carvalhal’s former club Sheffield Wednesday.

Noor Husin gave County brief hope, making it 3-1 after 35 minutes, but the Sky Bet League Two promotion contenders were blown away on a freezing night in south Wales.

It also gave County an unwanted spot in Swansea history, the margin of defeat bigger than the 7-2 and 6-1 FA Cup scorelines inflicted on Folkestone and Rhyl.

Carvalhal had called for Abraham to show a marked improvement after going 14 games without scoring, and the England striker duly responded with his first goals for nearly four months.

Swansea showed their intent in the opening exchanges when Adam Collin saved from Abraham and Dyer, but the County goalkeeper was beaten after 18 minutes.

Naughton and Luciano Narsingh combined down the right and Abraham was picked out to sweep home his first goal since October 14.

Abraham turned provider just 83 seconds later with a delightful pass which Dyer sidefooted home for his first Swansea goal since August 2015.Dyer’s next, however, took only 10 more minutes to arrive with the lively Narsingh again making a telling contribution.

Mike van der Hoorn should have extended the lead from Carroll’s corner, rising above former Swan Richard Duffy but heading over from six yards.

And County were given hope when Husin fired home from the edge of the box after Swansea had failed to clear their area.

The goal was allowed to stand after Martin Atkinson had checked with the Video Assistant Referee to see whether a couple of County players, standing in offside positions, were obscuring the view of Swans goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt.

Jorge Grant almost reduced the deficit further, but Nordfeldt pushed away his half-volley and Swansea restored their three-goal advantage in the second minute of stoppage time.

Kyle Bartley’s raking pass sent Narsingh scampering down the right again and he fed Abraham, who converted with another firm finish.

Jon Stead tested Nordfeldt after robbing Van der Hoorn, but the County defence continued to creak with Abraham close to a hat-trick and Collin blocking Narsingh’s near-post effort.

Collin was not so competent dealing with Carroll’s 53rd-minute corner and the loose ball to Naughton, who lashed home only his second Swansea goal.

Routledge grabbed the sixth – and his first of the season – four minutes later with a delightful curled finish from just inside the box.

Carroll struck the goal of the night after 65 minutes when his 25-yard stunner left Collin grasping at thin air, before James’ strike secured Swansea their biggest home win since moving to the Liberty Stadium in 2005.

  • Arsenal suffer 3-1 defeat at rejuvenated Swansea

Arsenal suffer 3-1 defeat at rejuvenated Swansea

Arsenal suffered another painful English Premier League defeat on Tuesday as Swansea City capitalised on some glaring errors to win 3-1 at the Liberty Stadium.

The result boosted the Welsh side’s survival hopes and dented the visitors’ top four chances.

Arsenal took the lead through Nacho Monreal after 33 minutes, but their advantage lasted just seconds as Mesut Ozil gave the ball away and Sam Clucas finished for the home side.

Worse was to come for Arsenal in the second half as goalkeeper Petr Cech sliced an attempted clearance, leaving Jordan Ayew to fire home after 61 minutes.

Clucas finished with a right foot effort to grab his second of the night with four minutes remaining.

The defeat leaves Arsenal in sixth place, eight points adrift of Liverpool in fourth, while Swansea, who have been rejuvenated by new manager Carlos Carvalhal, climbed out of the bottom three.

They moved above Stoke City on goal difference.

  • Swansea come from behind at Watford in boss Carvalhal’s first game

Swansea City staged a remarkable late fightback to beat Watford and give Carlos Carvalhal victory in his first game in charge of the Welsh side, lifting them off the bottom of the table.

In a lively start to the match, Jordan Ayew struck the bar from 25 yards before Andre Carrillo headed Watford in front from the rebound.

Neither side seized control of the match in a disjointed second half and, as the nervous hosts retreated with five minutes left, Swans substitute Oli McBurnie nodded down for Ayew to convert from close range.

In the 89th minute, Heurelho Gomes saved a powerful effort from Nathan Dyer but could only push it into the path of another Swansea substitute, Luciano Narsingh, who finished well to spark ecstatic celebrations in the dugout and the away end.

Just a fourth win from 21 Premier League games this season sees Carvalhal’s side overtake West Brom, who are now at the foot of the table, and moves them within two points of safety.

For Watford, a fifth defeat from six league matches sees them stay in 10th place.

  • Swansea City sack manager Paul Clement

Swansea City has sacked manager Paul Clement after less than a year at the helm as the Premier League bottom club desperately search for a way out of the relegation mire.

As the season approaches its halfway point, the Welsh side are already four points adrift of safety following Monday’s 1-3 defeat at Everton, with just three wins in their first 18 Premier League matches.

“We can confirm that the club has tonight (Wednesday) parted company with head coach Paul Clement,” the club said on its Twitter account.

TheNewsGuru reports that Clement is the sixth English Premier League (EPL) manager to lose his job so far this season.

Other EPL managers who had earlier been dismissed include Frank de Boer (Crystal Palace), Craig Shakespeare (Leicester City), Ronald Koeman (Everton), Slaven Bilic (West Ham) and Tony Pulis (West Brom).

Swansea’s owners will be banking on fresh impetus from a new boss to lift the team up the table, with the likes of Leicester and Everton boosted by new appointments in recent weeks.

“To change the manager, especially at only the halfway point of the season, is the last thing we wanted to do as a club,” said Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins in a statement.

“We had three different managers last season and as a result we all wanted to give Paul as much time as possible to turn things around.

“But we felt we couldn’t leave it any longer and needed to make a change to give us the best chance of an uplift and a turnaround in fortunes with the club bottom of the Premier League.”

Jenkins praised Clement’s role in helping keep the club in the English top flight last season.

He took over at Swansea in January, replacing Bob Bradley, with the club bottom of the Premier League and tipped as odds-on favourites for relegation.

But he masterminded four wins from his first six games, including an impressive victory at Liverpool, to earn himself the Premier League manager of the month award for January.
