T.B. Joshua denies prophesying winner of Edo guber poll

The General Overseer of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua has denied giving any prophecy on the September 19 governorship election in Edo State.

Joshua said any such story was, ‘entirely false,’ a ‘prophecy rumour’ and propagated by ‘Satan..the father of lies’.

The election is between incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the main candidates.

In a statement SCOAN said: “Our attention has been drawn to several articles circulating on the internet within Nigeria claiming that Prophet TB Joshua has given a prophecy regarding the upcoming governorship elections in Edo State, Nigeria.

“This story is entirely false! Prophet TB Joshua has not given any prophecy regarding this.

“Remember, the Bible says in John 8:44 that satan is ‘the father of lies’. Don’t listen to the father of lies, the sons of lies and the daughters of lies. Do not sit somewhere, hear this or that and come to a hasty conclusion.

“God requires that we find out the truth from Him first and hold fast to that which is true, as the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:21. Emmanuel TV is the only official mouthpiece of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN). If you didn’t hear it on Emmanuel TV, please disregard it.”

Why I visited TB Joshua’s church- Angel Gomes

Angel Gomes, a Manchester United player, has disclosed why he went to TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) for healing over his steady injuries. Gomes made this known after an old video of his visit reemerged on social media.

TheNewsGuru recalls that the gifted attacking midfield player had travelled to Nigeria to see the cleric. But video of his visit to SCOAN began to make the rounds on Monday evening.

Taking to Twitter in reaction to fans who questioned his motives for pulling such a stunt, Gomes noted that he was just practicing his faith even though it all looked “crazy” from the outside.

“Regarding the video that has come out from 2016. I am from a Christian family at the time my mum was a fan of the pastor, and she really wanted me to go,” the 19-year-old wrote on Tuesday.

“I was going through some issues. From the outside looking in, it looks crazy, but I was just practicing (sic) my faith.

“I didn’t really need to explain myself but a lot of people were asking me what the video was about. I was young at the time and if my parents thought something was best for Me I would do it.

“There are far more important issues out there in the world we can tackle.”

In 2017, Gomes was said to have informed his club that he wouldn’t represent England U17s at that year’s UEFA European Championship finals in Croatia over an injury that held him back.

How I slept at T.B Joshua’s altar for weeks with no miracle – Amokachi

Former Super Eagles forward and Nigeria’s soccer ambassador, Daniel Amokachi has revealed how all his attempts to get a miracle healing failed despite sleeping at the altar of Prophet T.B Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations for weeks.

Amokachi had flown back to the Lagos-based Synagogue Church of All Nations while attempting to relaunch his career after suffering a protracted knee injury he sustained ahead of the 1998 FIFA World Cup.

“The Bull”, as fondly called, told Brila FM on Friday that he was not healed even though he saw miracles at Synagogue.

According to the former Everton star, “I was at the church on the invitation of a friend who is a member. My friend, at that time, told me about the man of God and that I could meet my miracle if I met with the Pastor.

“At first, I wasn’t giving to it, but I later agreed and flew down to Nigeria from England to see the Pastor.

“I slept by the church’s altar for several weeks to receive healing. I was not healed, but I saw lots of miracles that happened to people.”

His football career more or less ended after he left Turkish aide Beşiktaş in 1999.

He failed medical test after signing with 1860 Munich and the contract was cancelled.

David Lyon, governor-elect of Bayelsa state, paid a courtesy visit to the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Lagos, Nigeria, on Sunday.

Lyon, dressed in a white attire was welcomed and introduced to the congregation by T.B. Joshua, the founder of SCOAN.

T.B. Joshua, however, charged him to meet the expectations of the Bayelsa people.

TB Joshua said: “He is not a new person to us because he is a brethren. He has been a hardened believer in the blood of Jesus. I know God will use him.”

“I want you to know that the only way Bayelsa people will believe you are the one they voted for is for you to meet the expectations of the Bayelsa People. He is banking on our prayers because the best is yet to come… I am at your service. By that, I meant I will make sure the expectations of the Bayelsa people are executed.

“I have a word of wisdom for you. It is better to live poorly upon the fruit of God’s goodness than to live plentifully upon the product of our own sin.”

Speaking on his visit to the Synagogue, Lyon said he was there “for a Thanksgiving to God Almighty for the successful Governorship election in Bayelsa State.”

T.B. Joshua faces fresh hurdles as churches in Israel kick against scheduled visit, evangelism

These are not the best of times for Nigerian televangelist and founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B Joshua.

According to reports, many churches in the Israeli city of Nazareth, have kicked against the planned visit of the popular cleric.

According to an Israeli publication, Haaretz, Joshua’s planned visit has generated criticisms among residents and stakeholders, including church officials.

Joshua is scheduled to visit Nazareth ahead of his church’s event tagged the “Nazareth Meeting with TB Joshua,” holding on June 23 and June 24.

Some of the church leaders were quoted as saying the upcoming event is an “affront in the principles of Christianity”, asking residents to shun it.

“We beg you to not play in the hands of those organising this type of festival which is an affront to the principles of Christianity, and our national identity.

“We beg you not to play in the hands of those organizing this type of festival which is an affront to the principles of Christianity, and our national identity, and deals a blow to the social fabric of a city like Nazareth,” they wrote.

Church officials quoted passages from the New Testament, warning against false prophets, who seek to deceive with miracles.

The Hadash and Youth for Change parties in Nazareth were said to have also cited Joshua’s source of wealth as part of their concerns.

“We have asked to take an in-depth look at this issue, at why a city like Nazareth would receive such a person who is denied entry to many countries on grounds of criminal suspicions and given his links to the extreme right in Israel.

“What’s more, the man is known to have grown wealthy in a way that has raised many questions and therefore we view such a visit as an illegitimate step which contaminates the city and its historic heritage.

“And we absolutely reject the mayor’s claims that such an event would bring $1 million to the city and would see such a sum were it to actually materialise as an illegitimate contribution that would contaminate the city,” they reportedly said.

  • Evans, TB Joshua, Rev King, others won’t escape justice – LASG assures

The Lagos State Government on Wednesday said suspected kidnapping kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans will not escape justice.

It also assured that the duo of Prophet T.B. Joshua, founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) and Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Reverend King, General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly would receive their judgements from the courts soon.

Recall that Evans, who was arrested at his mansion in Magodo area of Lagos last year, is being prosecuted by the State Government in court alongside others for masterminding and executing series of high profile kidnappings and murder in the State.

The State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Adeniji Kazeem, who said this at the ongoing Ministerial Press Briefing held in Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, said the State Government was committed to ensuring the logical conclusion of all pending cases in court and serve justice to the people.

“On the Evans’ matter, the cases filed against him are ongoing in court. The issue is that the lawyer representing him is trying to play some games to delay the matter but in all his games, we have been defeating him in court.

“We have filed different cases. Some are for kidnapping and some bordered on murder and his lawyer is fighting all the cases but what I can assure the people is that we are committed to ensure the matter is concluded and defeat him at the end of the day,” Kazeem said.

While reeling out activities of the agencies under the Ministry in the last one year, the Attorney General said the State Government received and treated a total number of 11,451 cases through the Special Task Force Against Land Grabbers, Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team (DSVRT) and the Special Offences (Mobile) Court in the last one year.

He said the government also received 316 inquiries through the recently unveiled first state-owned DNA and Forensic Centre with 71 active cases currently ongoing bordering on homicide, rape, toxicology, child trafficking, serology, among others.

According to Kazeem, the Anti-Land Grabbers Task Force designed by the present administration to fight the menace of forceful take-over of properties received 1300 petitions out of which 855 were concluded and 530 currently at various stages of resolution.

“In the period under review, over 35 arrests of suspected notorious land grabbers were effected while 26 criminal prosecution cases against suspected land grabbers are presently ongoing,” the Attorney General said.

Besides, the Attorney General said in a bid to enhance due diligence in property transaction, the State Government introduced the Real Estate Electronic Litigation Database designed for the provision of access to information primarily on properties which are subject of litigation, adding that since its launch, the portal has recorded over 1,000,000 hits and over 10,000 consistent users from Nigeria, United States, United Kingdom, South Africa and others.

He added that through the Citizens’ Mediation Centre (CMC), the State Government received a total number of 47,292 new cases free of charge out of which 25,191 were resolved with others at various stages of resolution.

“The total value of settlement of debt related matters achieved by the Centre during the period under review from May 2017 to April 2018 as settlement between parties was N1,352,745,391,” the Attorney General said, among other achievements by the State Government in the justice sector.

Speaking on Hotel and Restaurant Consumption (Fiscalization) Regulations 2018, Kazeem clarified that it was neither a new law nor an additional tax, but a regulation aimed at ensuring that government gets due revenue.

“It is a regulation and not a new law. It was made pursuant to an existing law that was already in operation. What this regulation essentially seeks to do is to allow the government to put certain equipment in the restaurant and hospitality organizations to properly monitor the revenue that is coming so we can know what exactly is due to the State Government.

“It is not an additional tax; it is just to enhance transparency in collection of taxes that are due to the State. So, I want to clarify that carefully,” Kazeem said.

On other high profile cases, he said it was gratifying to report that the cases were progressing in court, saying the Synagogue Church case for instance on the collapsed building which killed people was progressing well, adding that a no case submission filed by the accused persons instead of defending the case was recently dismissed by the Court, while the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Reverend King who is presently on death roll imposed by the court would have his fate determined in due course.

Relocation Saga: Our economy will be affected if you move, FG begs T.B. Joshua

…Promises to address whatever challenges the prophet is facing

The federal government on Tuesday appealed to the founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet T.B. Joshua to reconsider his decision to relocate his ministry to Israel.

The plea was made by the Minister Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed.

He said the move will not be in the best interest of the country.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that the prophet had on Sunday announced that he would relocate from Nigeria to Israel because his ministry was unjustly persecuted and unappreciated despite his contributions economically and spiritually.

In his words: “This is the most persecuted ministry in the world. Who are the people persecuting the ministry? My people, Africa.

That is why I choose to live a lonely life. If you want to see me, come to this church. I don’t go out. It has not been easy – because I don’t know who is a friend or who is an enemy.

If you learn TB Joshua is not around, I am in a revival. I live in the church here. I don’t have a house outside.”

What happened to me from the beginning of my ministry is enough to chase me out of this country.

But I am still in your midst. Upon the persecution and hatred, I decided to follow the path of love. You show hatred; I show love.

When I go for a revival, you will see the stadium full but I am not carried away by that. I leave where I’m celebrated to live where I’m persecuted.”

But Mohammed in a chat with journalists during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators (NATOP) in Lagos, described Joshua’s decision as unfortunate.

Mohammed called for dialogue between the pastor and the authorities over whatever challenges he was facing.

His words: “That will be very unfortunate in the sense that if he does move out, it will affect our tourism in Nigeria.

Pastor Joshua is an important person, he must bear with us. This is his country; if he moves out and go to South Africa, for example, the revenue will go to South Africa.

It is better that Pastor Joshua sits down with the relevant authority and resolve whatever problem he has. If I have access to him, this is exactly what I am going to tell him.”

  • Africa persecuting my ministry, I’m relocating to Israel – TB Joshua

Africa persecuting my ministry, I’m relocating to Israel – TB Joshua

Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua has said his ministry has received incessant condemnations from the very people it served the most since inception (Nigerians, Africans) and it was time for him to relocate it to a place where it will be appreciated.

Speaking at his church service on Sunday 30th April 2017, Joshua disclosed that he had just returned from the ‘Holy Land’ after holding meetings with three prominent Israeli mayors of Jerusalem, Tiberias and the Jordan Valley.

Joshua said Israel offered him both land and facilities in an area around the biblical site of the Sea of Galilee for the Nigerian Pastor to organise meetings for international pilgrims.

This is where my Father in Heaven came from – it’s non-negotiable,” Joshua explained, adding it was not a decision he undertook lightly.

It’s the best place for you to meet Prophet T.B. Joshua. After your healing, blessing and deliverance, you can move around all the spiritual monuments which will establish your faith,” he clarified.

Joshua said his decision to leave was not connected to the “persecution” he endured during his ministry.

TB Joshua said the move would help people to “appreciate” what his ministry had been contributing to both the local economy and Nigeria’s international image.

This is the most persecuted ministry in the world. Who are the people persecuting the ministry? My people, Africa.

That is why I choose to live a lonely life. If you want to see me, come to this church. I don’t go out. It has not been easy – because I don’t know who is a friend or who is an enemy.

If you learn T.B. Joshua is not around, I am in a revival. I live in the church here. I don’t have a house outside.”

Anytime you pray, remember Africa in prayer. Many heroes and great people have been chased out of Africa. There are many geniuses in the Western world who are originally from Africa.”

The cleric pointed to the example of heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua who was allegedly turned down by Nigerian sporting authorities when he wanted to represent the country.

What happened to me from the beginning of my ministry is enough to chase me out of this country – but I am still in your midst. Upon the persecution and hatred. I decided to follow the path of love.

You show hatred; I show love. When I go for a revival, you will see the stadium full but I am not carried away by that. I leave where I’m celebrated to live where I’m persecuted.”

The cleric then advised congregants: “Where you are not celebrated is the best place to stay, to get strength. When you are in the midst of a battle, you are building yourself.

That is why I decided to stay where I am not celebrated here in Nigeria. When the grace of God is amid challenges, it gets stronger.”

Your life can preach a better sermon than your mouth,” he exhorted the congregation, stating that the Israeli officials had observed his ministry from afar before inviting him.
