Record producer, Oluwaseyi Akerele, better known as Shizzi, and his Swiss Nigerian singer-songwriter wife, Coco Benson are currently dragging singer Teniola Apata, popularly known as Teni Entertainer in the mud over one of her hit songs.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports trouble started after Teni on Friday made a tweet on Twitter that reads: “Users have no pity, they’ll use you and feel no remorse, don’t let that crown shift. Walk away”.

Quoting Teni’s tweet, Shizzi wrote: “Oh you don dey feel am? Them don dey serve you breakfast already? See who’s talking about users???”

In response, Teni wrote: “You that you wanted to waste my life. Signed me with no plans. You gave my songs away, my mother paid you in full and I got out the contract, I walked away peacefully. Thank God for my mom, I would’ve still been singing on the streets of Atlanta”.

TNG reports Shizzi unveiled his record label and management company known as Magic Fingers in late 2016, signing Teni on 23 December 2019 after the official release of her single “Amen”.

Meanwhile, little was known on why and how Shizzi and Teni ended the deal. However, events unfolding indicate that all never ended well better Shizzi and Teni.

Even the wife of Shizzi, Coco Benson joined her husband to drag the Billionaire crooner on Twitter, with the husband and wife saying Teni stole beats to make “Case”.

“You, that took a song that I produced with you “Case” and you went and gave your in-house producer to reproduce it without my consent and you released the song and your guy “Nurse Dolor” endorsed it with no remorse till 2day.., you’re talking about users.. nah stop it,” Shizzi wrote.

In response to Teni’s allegation that Shizzi wanted to waste her life, Coco Benson wrote: “Teni stop it right now. Waste your life?! Shizzi gave you a chance first and rather than be grateful, you step on everything he tried to do for your ungrateful self so stop the cap for the world to see. Was it not you in our home almost every other day making music with him”.

However, in a swift reaction, Teni responded thus: “Did your husband tell you my mom paid him to get me out, did he tell you I also paid him 2 thousand dollars for Pareke, clarify o”.

Shizzi even threatened to ask Sony to pull down the song in contention: “Keep playing with me and I’ll tell Sony to take down the song & video in full effect!!! Tell me these beats don’t have the same chords! If you don’t know music business or how this shit works just hush. Music creation is lyrics and production. 50/50.

“I created the idea from scratch it don’t matter if you didn’t record vocals that same day. My idea is my idea and moreover did you credit me or pay for it as the creator ??? And I can ask Sony to take that shit down. Don’t play with me.

“And when you wanted to leave , I gave you all my blessing without hesitation despite all that was done to move your career forward. For your info i have all the receipts with you mum begging me on the phone and I let you go in peace you ungrateful cunt.

“You asked for it and here is one of the receipts. A video of the day we made #Case. Today the whole world knows who you are. The real person you are! An ungrateful element ? @TeniEntertainer!

  • Why I recorded ‘Dads Song’ watching my father’s funeral-Teni

Why I recorded ‘Dads Song’ watching my father’s funeral-Teni

Popular singer, Teni has revealed that she recorded ‘Dads Song’, a track off ‘Wondaland‘, her debut album, while watching video of her father’s funeral.

Teni made this known during a recent episode of #WithChude where she reflected on pains of losing loved ones.

The ‘Billionaire’ crooner said she lost her father at a very young age before further losing her assistant.

“Dad’s song is a song for everyone that has lost someone. Dealing with loss is crazy because people tell you that you’ll get over it, but you never get over it. You just don’t get over loss,” she said.

“When I was recording this song I was sitting in my living room and watching my father’s funeral, his body in the casket, my mother crying. I needed those emotions to be able to record that song in its true form. Everything I sang had to be from a place of truth.”

Teni also stated that ‘Uyo Meyo’, her 2018 hit single, was inspired by her graduation from the varsity after battling several challenges.

“Not being able to graduate on time slowed me down from my music. My parents said, ‘if you’re going to make music, you have to graduate’. I was very frustrated,” she said.

“I remember I was in a car driving to my graduation when I recorded the song, and I was just thinking of all my hard work. My mum is from Ondo, and so ‘Uyo Meyo’ means, when others win and you celebrate with them, your own too will come.

“I was happy for my younger sister when she graduated before me, and when my turn finally came, I was happy, and that’s where that song came from.”
