    TheNewsGuru.com, PBA, C&F hold 2023 election colloquium Saturday

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG), Africa’s number one news portal in collaboration with Prime Business Africa and C&F Porter Novelli will on Saturday 28 January 2023 hold a one-day colloquium on the forthcoming general election in Nigeria.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the 2023 General Election Colloquium scheduled for this Saturday from 2:00 pm prompt to 4:00 pm WAT will hold with the theme: Assessing the Presidential Election Campaigns.

    The colloquium, which will hold virtually via Zoom, is expected to dissect topical issues on how the major political parties in the presidential race and their candidates have fared with their campaigns so far ahead of the February 25 polls.

    Representatives of political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC), the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party and the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) are expected to participate in the colloquium.

    Also expected to participate in the all-important colloquium are representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON).

    To anchor the epoch-making event are Ambassador Aminu A. Wisdom, former Nigeria Principal Representative to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and Prof. Charles Okigbo, Professor Emeritus of Strategic Communication at North Dakota State University, USA.

    TNG reports the 2023 General Election Colloquium, hosted in conjunction with Prime Business Africa and C&F Porter Novelli is supported by Jackson Centre for Innovative Journalism and Media Development (JCIJMD).

    The next presentation will be done by Dr. Kay Beckerman and Emmanuel Aneke which is on Communication Audits in the Digital Revolution.
    Professor Elizabeth Crawford Jackson takes on Advertising Media Planning for Media sales.

    TheNewsGuru reports that Dr. Kay Beckerman is a professor of Advertising and Social Media at Minnesota State University and Dr. Elizabeth Crawford Jackson is a professor of Advertising at North Dakota University also in the United States.

    From the array of scholars and high-flying professionals, veritable training is a huge promise, destined to change advertising media competence and enhance revenue drive among others.

    According to Okigbo, “we shall cover the most essential topics: market concept, advertising, public relations, mass media, online media, selling and sales concept, strategic challenges, persuasion, and trend analysis “.

    The leading foreign relations Think Tank in Africa, the Society for International Relations Awareness (SIRA), has elected human rights activist, labour leader and author, Mr Owei Lakemfa as its new President.

    Mr. Lakemfa who for over two decades has run two weekly columns on Nigeria and international affairs in the VANGUARD Newspapers and recently TheNewsGuru.com (TNG), succeeds Professor Nuhu O. Yaqub
    OFR, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Abuja and Sokoto State University.

    The new Vice President is Colonel Wilson Ijide RTD, former Training Team Leader, Nigerian Army School of infantry with wide experience in international peacekeeping. He has a PhD in Industrial/Organisational Psychology and lectures in the Department of Psychology, and Institute

    Prof. W. Alade Fawole, a leading foreign affairs expert and author of books like ‘The Illusion of The Post-Colonial State: Governance and Security Challenges in Africa’ and ‘Nigeria’s External Relations and Foreign Policy Under Military Rule: 1966-1999’ was elected the Chairperson of the Research Committee.
