    TikToker Khaby Lame forced to leave US after detention for ‘overstaying visa’

    Italian-Senegalese social media sensation, Khaby Lame, known as the world’s most followed TikTok creator, has been deported from the United States for overstaying his visa, amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.

    US Immigration and Customs Enforcement in a statement on Monday, confirmed that Lame, 25, was detained last Friday at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas  for immigration violations before he was allowed to leave the country on June 6.

    According to the agency, Lame entered the country on April 30 but “overstayed the terms of his visa.”

    “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detained Seringe Khabane Lame, 25, a citizen of Italy, June 6, at the Harry Reid International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, for immigration violations,” ICE said in the statement.

    It added, “Lame was granted voluntary departure June 6 and has since departed the U.S.”

    Lame, 25, Senegalese-Italian, has over 162.2 million TikTok followers. He is famous for his silent comedic reactions to overcomplicated “life hack” videos, has amassed over 160 million followers on TikTok.

    His online popularity led to collaborations with global fashion brands, a role in a Hollywood film, and a reality show on Tubi titled Khaby Is Coming To America.

    Following his deportation, Lame has not issued any formal statement. However, on Monday, he posted an Instagram story tagged in São Paulo, Brazil, marking his first confirmed location since leaving the US

    Lame’s former legal representative, Riccardo Lanzo, disclosed that the influencer had spent significant time in the US recently but acknowledged uncertainty regarding his visa status.

    The case came amid a broader immigration enforcement push under Trump’s renewed administration.

    TikToker Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, has lost over five hundred thousand followers on social media after condemning the trending 30-day rant challenge.

    TheNewsGuru reports that thousands of Nigerian youths have taken to social media, particularly TikTok, to express their frustration over the difficult living conditions under President Bola Tinubu’s government. 

    The #30DaysRantChallenge, was first initiated by Youth Corper Rita “Raye” Ushie Uguamaye who openly criticized President Tinubu, calling his administration, “terrible.”

    Participants, particularly young people in the challenge have been voicing their complaints about the economic hardships they are facing.

    In reaction, Peller, as he’s fondly called, in an emotional outburst during a recent session, cautioned Tiktoksters to stop the rants.

    He further urged anyone who’s not satified with the Tinubu’s administration to go to the market to voice their frustration rather than do it on TikTok.

    “If you want to really rant, go to Instagram; go to the market; don’t rant here on TikTok. If they ban TikTok, that’s where we will have issues,” he said.

    Incited by the TikTok star’ statement, many of his fans began to unfollow him on both on Instagram and TikTok page. 

    Quick checks shows that Peller had lost a significant number of followers, with nearly 500,000 unfollowing him on TikTok and another 400,000 on Instagram.

    This, however did not sit well with many who have called him out for giving such command on TikTok.

    Deji Adeyanju, the Human rights lawyer and activist, called out the internet sensation for making such insensitive comment. He wrote: “Who’s this boy saying people should not rant on TikTok? Is TikTok your father’s house? Shouldn’t you be in school instead of on TikTok? Are you not too young to be doing TikTok? You have no right whatsoever to tell Nigerians how to express their frustration!”

    Another X user Dave wrote: ”I hate this guy called Peller, maybe when you guys stop gifting him he will know people are suffering.”

    Peller wrote: “Never really grow he no sabi talk and na cos say he don get money na why he Dey talk rubbish if to say he Dey suffer like others he no go talk tr@sh.”

    TikTok star, Peller reveals the biggest money he ever made from the app

    Popular Tiktoker star, Habeeb Hazmat, popularly known as Peller, has opened up on his secret to becoming one of the biggest TikTokers in Nigeria.

    Peller during a recent feature on the Honest Bunch Podcast, revealed the he once made a whooping N10 million in one night on TikTok, describing the amount as the biggest money he has ever made on the app.

    He noted that contrary to reports that he made $200,000 from the Live he did with singer Davido, he only made N1.5 million.

    The successful TikToker also noted if one wants to make it on the app, they must behave like a dull person.

    He noted how he started his TikTok with good English and got low views, but when he started going Live with his bad English, he started getting more than 2k views.
