    The third season of Nigerian reality TV show, Big Brother Naija was launched with 20 contestants on the 28th of January 2018. As expected, the show has acquired a life of its own, dominating conversations on social media.

     

    This year’s edition has been filled with scandals, twists and intrigues.

     

    In no particular order, we take a look at 5 controversial housemates you should worry about.

     

    1. Cee-C

     

    Cynthia Nwadiora aka Cee-C is not only the most talked about female housemate, but she is also one of the most controversial housemates in the ongoing show. A lot of jokes has been shared on social media about how Cee-C charmed Tobi, how Tobi disappointed hordes of ‘Yoruba demons’.

    Cee-C made headlines for her ‘On and off’ romantic relationship with Tobi. She had a rift with her new strategic partner,which led to an injury that almost smashed Lolu’s scrotum.

     

     

    1. Tobi

    Dashing and dandy Tobi has been called different names on social media, from being a ‘player’ to a ‘Yoruba demon’. He became a subject of mockery over constantly begging Cee -C, trying to win her love.

     

    However, the narrative changed when Tobi kissed and fondled Cee-C. Nigerians applauded Tobi for finally standing up to Cee-C, when she insinuated that he attempted to touch her without her, without her consent.

     

    1. Miracle

    Miracle has been described by the female viewers of the show as a hot dose of awesomeness. Little wonder, Nina his former strategic partner, finds him irresistible. Just few days into the show, Miracle kissed Nina and has reportedly had carnal knowledge of her, more than once on the show.

    The light skinned damsel in her early twenties was thumped by actress, Juliet Ibrahim over having sex with Miracle on TV. Nina who continuously pledges her allegiance to her boyfriend, stunned Nigerians when she kissed Miracle 2 days into the show.She also confessed to Leo that she is emotionally attached to Miracle.

    The rising actress and BBNaija housemate got people talking when she revealed on the show that she was the one sponsoring CDQ, Nigerian rapper before he became a star.

    Reacting to her claim, an angry CDQ called her a bipolar woman and a ‘One night stand’.

    Before then,she had made shocking confessions about herself, calling herself a virgin and a victim of sexual abuse.

    BBNaija housemate, Tobi has been bashed, condemned and slammed on social media for not being assertive in his love affair with fellow housemate, Cee-c.

    Nigerians were shocked when Cee-c in her usual fashion was trying to complain over what Tobi did wrong, and Tobi walked away on three occasions.

    Tobi claimed Cee-c tried to insinuate that he was attempting to touch her without her consent while she slept. He also complained that she doesn’t let him be himself and curbs him from intermingling with other housemates.

    Lilian confessed that the male housemates are handsome and hot, adding that she would love to have a romantic affair with Miracle and Leo.

    She however threw a jab at Tobi, stressing that he is hot and dumb.

    “Its just weird. I know when you like something you go for it. Tobi is so hot and so dumb ” she told Goldmyne TV.

  • BBNAIJA: Biggie criticised for favouritism

    Fans of the popular show have turned their backs on Big Brother to what they perceive as injustice towards Lolu.

    “Biggies” attempt to stir up the mood in the house by introducing a bonding week task backfired as Cee-C and Lolu got involved in a disagreement during the process, thus leading to a stern reaction from “Biggie” .

    As Housemates were paired by “Biggie”, Lolu and Cee C got harnessed together. The two Housemates were unimpressed about having each other as partners for the task and they couldn’t hide their feelings about it.

    Cee-C who got fed up with having to put up with anywhere and anything her partner did, disobeyed Biggies instructions by removing the harness to sit down and in the process hitting Lolu on his inner thigh.

    The two housemates were faulted and punished by Biggie with two strikes each.

    The punishment was received with a lot of backlash from viewers who believe Tobi and Anto who are Cee-C and Lolu’s respective strategic partners in the “Double Wahala” themed show, should receive the same punishment because of the rule that goes with the unique theme.

    Khloe suffered a strike earlier in the game because of her strategic partners action. K-Brule jumped and hurt himself under the influence therefore breaking “Biggies” rule which restricts housemates from any form of violence including self harm.

    Fans of the show have expressed their discontent with “Biggies” latest punishment. Some fans believe Tobi is being favoured at the expense of Lolu because of his connections with Heritage Bank, one of the major sponsors of the show

    A fan wrote on Twitter: @madonnaaa “All these is happening because Lolu knows no one @Ebuka disqualify your in law @BBNaija pure injustice @PayPorte scam @heritagebankltd it’s not compulsory for your candidate to win cos you sponsored a show #justiceforLolu”

    Another fan expressed her disappointment in “Biggies” decision on Twitter.
    She wrote “Whatever consequence you bring on yourself affects your partner. These were your words “Biggie” or you think the viewers are stupid yh? If you make a rule stick to it, don’t bend it to favour someone else. Damn!! #bbnaija.

    This seasons theme “Double Wahala” has drawn criticism for its idea which puts a favourite housemate at a disadvantage, if the partner is unpopular among the voters.

    When you think of one of the most controversial housemates in the 2nd edition of Big Brother Naija, you have to mention CeeC.

    CeeC who has been said to put Tobi under a spell finally declared her love for him after living in denial for 14 days.

     

    Big Brother dissolved the previous pairs while he re-paired the housemates. Tobi was paired with BamBam, while CeeC was paired with Lolu.

    Hours after the pairing took place, CeeC expressed her love for Tobi.
