    Curse, threat on my family were beyond what I can take – Toyin Abraham gives reason for X user’ arrest

    Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has taken to social media to respond to an X user, who publicly accused her of arresting his mother.

    Taking to the micro-blogging platform, X formerly Twitter, the X user, identified as Jeffery called out the actress for using police to arrest his mother after accusing him of cyberbullying.

    He wrote; “Toyin_abraham1 you sent police to pick up my mom at home. Lol Said I bullied you. Where did i bully you? Me of all people?”

    “You will have to send the police to pick all of us. You are very shameless,” he added.

    Reacting, Toyin replied the X user saying she can endure whatever insults hurled at her, but draws the line when it comes to her family. She further clarified that she never arrested his mother and only made a report of cybercrime as a citizen.

    “You can abuse and call me names; it’s fine, and as I said, I will accept and take it cos I’m in the public eyes, but cursing kids and lying is what I won’t accept, and lastly, I never and will never arrest anyone’s mother. I made a report on cybercrime as a citizen.

    “I made my report at cybercrime cos the threat to life and curse and threat on my family were beyond what I can take, as for me, abuse me, insult me please, say anything to me please”.

    The Twitter user further revealed how the movie star picked up her mom from her shop at Panti police station and prayed for God to judge her.

    “It’s one thing to make a tweet, and you arrest me. It’s another thing to arrest me for not even making a single comment, @toyin_abraham1. You picked my mom up from her shop to Panti police station for something I didn’t even do. God will judge you”.

    Toyin replied, “Lying in my head comfortably now, the world won’t see this if I react how, they will say something else. I never arrested your mum. Your friend Ayo was arrested for bullying and cursing and defaming my family, and mum went there saying she won’t leave without him”.

    Toyin Abraham laments over victims of collapsed Ikoyi building

    Actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham has lamented over the victims of the Ikoyi building which collapsed on Monday.

    The ‘Alakada reloaded’ actress took to her Instagram page on Thursday, to send her condolences to the family and friends of the victim. Toyin also said that reading about the news of the death and injuries sustained during the incident saddens her.

    “Hearing the news of the Ikoyi collapsed building made me sad. Reading about the news of death and injuries was saddening. But nothing prepared me for the videos of the family members of the victims I saw. My heart bled. I broke down. How do you tell these people to have hope when the days and time are going by? Four days gone now, some of them don’t know whether to keep hoping or prepare for the worse?

    “I have been praying for strength for the family and life for the trapped victims. Please dear family members, I want you to know that you are not alone. God is with you and our best wishes and prayers are for you. We sincerely pray that at this critical time, you will find strength, hope and courage to be strong for the victims gone, those in hospital and those still trapped. Please be rest assured that you are not alone. We are praying with you. God who knows best will do the best,” she wrote.

    Reacting via the comment section of the post, Kehinde Bankole wrote: “our post reminds me we must talk about both good and bad on our pages. May God console all involved”.
