    Skit maker, Trinity guy regains freedom

    Popular Nigerian Skitmaker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, has regained his freedom, weeks after being detained in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

    The Skit maker was released on Friday after meeting his bail conditions.

    Popular content creator, Abdulgafar Ahmad, aka Cute Abiola announced his release in a post on his Facebook page.

    Sharing Trinity’s picture, Cute Abiola wrote: “TRINITY is finally free on Bail. I’m wishing you all the best brother. May Almighty Allah keep guiding you to the right path. Welcome back ! My guy don pray tire, see him forehead.”

    Recall that the Oyo State police command had in June arraigned Trinity Guy on two-count charges of conspiracy, sexual abuse and exploitation following his controversial prank video with a minor.

    Magistrate PO Adetuyibi, during the court session on June 26, ordered the skit maker to be remanded alongside the parents of the minor in the prank video till the next sitting July 11.

    During the second sitting, the Magistrate further extended his remand in the Agodi prison.

    A Family Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Tuesday ordered that a skit maker Maruf Abdullahi, aka ” Trinity”  be remanded in Agodi correction centre for allegedly sexually exploiting a 10-year-old girl.

    The Magistrate, Mrs  P. O. Adetuyibi ordered Abdullahi, 31,  Isiaka Ahmed, 40, and his wife Rofiat Ahmed, 29, parents of the child should continue to be remanded in Agodi.

    Adetuyibi adjourned the matter until Aug. 3, for mention.

    The police charged Abdullahi , alongside the parents of the victim with conspiracy and sexual abuse/exploitation.

    Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Oluwakemi Arowosaye told the court that Abdullahi, Ahmed, and his wife Rofiat  allegedly conspired together to wit sexual abuse.

    Arowosaye said ‘Trinity” on Dec. 17, 2022, was alleged to have sexually abused and sexually exploited 10-year- old girl  at Kuola area, Ibadan.

    The offence, the police said, contravened the provisions of Section 35 (1) and punishable under Section 35  (2) of the Oyo State Child Right’s Law 2006.

    She said it also contravenes the provisions of section 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.

    Nollywood actor, Adeniyi Johnson has begged the Nigeria police and the court of law  to temper justice with mercy over the child sexualization case of embattled skit maker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy.

    Recall that the Oyo state based content creator was invited by the Nigerian Police last week and charged to court on Monday for allegedly sexualising a minor in his viral skit video.

    Oyo State Magistrate Court sitting in Iyaganku, Ibadan, on Monday ordered the remand of the skit maker in Agodi prison over the alleged sexual exploitation of a 10-year-old minor.

    Parents of the minor were also arraigned and remanded on two-count charges of conspiracy and sexual abuse.

    Reacting to the development in a post on his Instagram page, the Yoruba actor pleaded with the Nigeria Police to tamper justice with mercy on the Skitmaker’s case. Noting that the content creator is just looking for what to eat.

    He wrote: “Dear Nigeria police force and every other related agency, many of us agree that our brother did what is wrong and absurd.

    “All I’m pleading for is to TAMPER JUSTICE WITH MERCY. please @iamtrinityguy is a young man looking for what to eat legally but he incidentally fell on the wrong side of the law.

    “Please be merciful as I know he has learnt already @nigerianpoliceforce.”

    Skit Making: Trinity guy will appear in court on Monday – Police

    The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has noted that the controversial skit maker, Abdullahi Maruf Adisa, popularly known as Trinity guy would be charged to court on Monday.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Trinity showed up after he was invited by the Oyo State Police Command over his outrageous pranks.

    Police spokesperson, CSP Adejobi, said the force has received several complaints against the prankster, stressing that many groups and nongovernmental organisations are interested in the case.

    Adejobi tweeted, “He will surely be charged to court on Monday. We have received several complaints against him, and many groups, NGOs, and CLOs are interested in the case. There is no sentiment in law, like I always say. Others should be able to learn from his actions and inactions.”

    He, however, clarified that the case was not personal but within the provisions of the law.

    Before appearing at the police station, Trinity Guy already made a video showing remorse and promising to turn a new leaf in his mode of operation as a skit maker.

    Popular Ibadan-based comedian and skit maker, Abdullahi Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, has been invited by the Oyo State Police Command over a prank video involving a female minor.

    This was made known by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Osifeso Adewale on Thursday.

    He said, “Popular content creator, Abdullahi Maruf Adisa AKA Trinity, has been contacted and invited at the Oyo State Police Command in connection with the disturbing viral skit content making the rounds across the social media space concerning a female minor.

    “The slightly above 38-second video clearly depicted the sexualization of a female minor who was compelled in a conversation with the skit maker to describe his genitals.

    “Moving forward, the Oyo State Police Command genuinely appreciates the energy and effort invested by every creative mind in his/her craft.

    “The command, however, appeals strongly against offending the sensibilities of others through violence, sexual abuse, and other extremities in the name of entertainment.”

    Recall that the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, had earlier called for the arrest of the prankster over disturbing contents.

    Sharing the extreme video of his prank with a minor on his official Twitter handle, he tweeted, “This is rubbish and criminal. This guy should be arrested and charged to court. We will act as soon as possible. I hate this scene. Child abuse.”

    Reacting to the call in a post on his Instagram page on Thursday, Trinity Guy thanked the Force Public Relations Officer.

    He wrote: “I would love to show my appreciation to the Nigeria Police, most especially @adejobimuyiwa Mr Adejobi Olumuyiwa for his fatherly role in calling my attention to the areas I needed to work on and amend. Your efforts in safeguarding the nation are truly inspiring and appreciated. May Almighty God bless you.”

    Police spokesman seeks arrest of prankster, Trinity guy

    The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has told his men to arrest a popular skit maker Abdullahi Maruff Adisa popularly known as Trinity guy.

    It was gathered that the FPRO ordered the arrest after he ignored initial warnings to skit makers to regulate their pranks as they endanger Nigerian lives.

    Sharing an extreme prank video of Trinity Guy via his Instagram page on Monday, CSP Adejobi urged people who have been affected by the skit maker’s pranks to report them to the authorities.

    He said, “This doesn’t make any sense. I think the guy should have been arrested.

    “Those individuals who feel the heat and fear of the pranks should be reporting the pranksters as many of their pranks are criminals, immoral, and evil.”
