My wife will give birth to twins, Funke Akindele’s husband declares

Fans and friends of Funke Akindele thronged to the comment section of her Instagram page, congratulating her, when her husband JJC Skillz, revealed they were expecting a set of twins.

But unknown to many, he was only tapping to a prophecy given by Gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey. Commenting on the issue, JJC said: “My elder sisters are twins, so it runs in the family. Expect our beautiful twins.”

When was asked to give a direct answer he simply said: “To God be the glory it would come to pass.”

JJC further cleared the air on his misconstrued Instagram post.

According to him: “My post on Instagram about my wife having twins was a prophecy from Olowogbogboro. Nathaniel Bassey came online and he had the prophecy, so I just tapped into it. If you look at my tweet, you would see what I wrote, I said I heard this news where he gave a big testimony, he gathered people around to pray for my wife and he said that he had a vision that she would have twins and that he will be invited to the naming ceremony next year. I received the good news and I pray it comes to pass,” the versatile entertainer said.

  • Beyonce twins born premature, treated for jaundice

Following the hype that surrounded the birth of Beyonce- Jay z twins, the twins who were born prematurely are currently being treated for jaundice. Daily Mail reports that the pop icons have not left the hospital since Beyoncé was admitted for delivery eight days ago. In addition, doctors had opted to keep them in for a ‘minor issue.’

The twins have been said to have spent their first days under ‘bili lights,’ a photo-therapy designed to eradicate high levels of bilirubin in the blood.

Doctors reveal that jaundice is quite common among newborns, especially pre-term births; and twins are said to be more disposed since they are seldom carried to full term.According to reports, the yellow substance is created when old red blood cells are changed for new ones; and heightened levels cause a baby’s skin and eyes to turn yellow.

If left untreated, doctors reveal it can be very dangerous; but once identified, it is easily and usually successfully treated.

For now, the celebrity couple are yet to reveal the sexes and names of the twins.

  • Beyonce, Jay Z welcome twins

Beyonce and husband, Jay Z have welcomed twins, multiple sources reveal. It is unknown precisely when the singer gave birth, though it stands to reason that it would have been on or around June 15, as Jay Z was due to be honored that night in New York City at the Songwriters Hall of Fame, but did not attend the ceremony.

The sex of the twins is also unknown, but former U.S. President Barack Obama hinted at the arrival of two girls in a video message broadcast at the Songwriters Hall of Fame. They’ll join big sister Blue Ivy Carter, born in January 2012.

Recall that Beyoncé announced her pregnancy via Instagram on February 1. The post — showing the singer embracing her baby bump in a garden scene — broke records on the social media platform. The post currently has nearly 11 million likes.

Beyoncé has kept a low profile in recent months, dropping out of Coachella (she was replaced by Lady Gaga) in April and skipping the Met Gala in May.

They shouldn’t have a problem buying a massive spread: Forbes recently announced that the superstar couple have amassed a net worth of $1.16 billion.

  • Mother re-appears after Nigerians pay hospital bill of abandoned twins

A woman, Sarah Ademola, who abandoned her twin babies at a hospital in Lagos over her inability to pay her medical bills after delivery, has reappeared.

Ms Ademola gave birth to a set of twins at the Felken Maternity Centre in the Somolu area of the state, but she absconded, leaving behind the two newborn girls at the facility due to the inability of her husband, Adeyemi Ademola, to pay the sun of N150, 000 owed the hospital.

According to a report by Daily Post, the children were in good condition and that they had given them (the parents) till weekend.

“If they don’t come to claim the children, we will hand them (the twins) over to the government.”

However, the hospital took into action its ‘threat’ after the matter was reported to Somolu Police Station.

However, the report went viral and well-meaning Nigerians indicated interest in settling the bills, as well as helping the family.

Among those who showed interest were the wife of the Lagos State Governor, Bolanle Ambode; non-governmental organisations, a retired military officer, Gen. Oviemo Ovadje, a member of the Senate representing Lagos East, Senator Gbenga Asafa, among others.

The matron of the hospital, Mrs. Gloria Akinbobola, confirmed the willingness of some persons to aid the family.

She told newsmen, “Immediately the report came out this morning, an NGO came and transferred the balance into our account. They also promised to give the family N50,000 to take care of the babies.

“They don’t want to be identified. We have received calls from many other people. A lot of them have been making promises.

“Another NGO that visited earlier on Thursday eventually paid the bills.

“A representative of Senator Asafa, Kanmi Adebowale, said the N100,000 gift was for the upkeep of the girls, adding that the senator decided to support the family because they lived within his senatorial district.”

The woman’s husband, who said he was frustrated by the development and that he was making efforts to settle the bills, said, “Those who owe me debts have refused to pay.

    “We are grateful to Nigerians.

“We have found the mother of the twins, but the problem is that she is terribly sick and has been taken to her hometown in Agbowa,” he told newsmen at the medical facility in Lagos.

The mother of the child, when asked how she felt ‘abandoning’ her own children, said, “I didn’t abandon my twins. I had to flee the maternity centre because I was not well taken care of. All they were interested in was their money.

“They said they would not attend to me until their N300,000 was complete. I was abandoned in the place. I had to run away to find solution to my health but I am in a place where they are treating me now.

“Please pray for me to survive. I am dying. I don’t want to die. I want to live to take care of my babies. I want to reap the fruit of my labour,” Ms Ademola sobbed.
