  • I have no apologies for dating a younger man-Uche Ogbodo

I have no apologies for dating a younger man-Uche Ogbodo

Outspoken actress, Uche Ogbodo was recently condemned when she revealed that she is dating a much younger person.

In a video she posted on her Instagram page, the actress said she had dated men who were a lot older than her in the past but they left her heartbroken and lowered her self-esteem. She made particular reference to her ex and child’s father who she said maltreated her emotionally.

According to Uche, she was with men who were older than her but none gave her the happiness she desired. Ogbodo said she took the decision to date a younger man after a friend of hers asked her to try them out.

”I am pregnant by a man who is a complete man, who is above 25 and then you call him a small boy. you insult me and say that I am older than him, how can I be dating a teenager?

Listen, that guy has made me happy and I have no apologies for it. He has made me happy. All the while I was with him, I never cried, like cry, but I know that I have been in relationships with older men, men who are older by 20 years.

I have dated a guy who is older than me by 20 years because then I used to believe you need a father figure in a relationship, you need someone who can help you, build you, people who can control you. I have dated a guy who is 20 years older than me and he never impacted anything in my life. He never did anything for me. Mentally he never. He abused me, he lied to me.

I have dated a guy who is ten years older than me. It didn’t work. I dated a guy who is eight years older than me. I have never dated a guy who I am older than. This is actually the first I tried it., she noted.

Speaking further, the talented actress said she used to date a man much older than her.

”I used to see a guy who is thirty years old as a child. I used to see guys who are thirty years old as a babies because I am used to dating my grandpas, grandfathers, thinking that’s the best decision for me. But, all these grandfathers, what they do is demoralise me, made me understand that I am not special, made me understand that there is nothing in me, that the strength that I feel that I have, I don’t have it.”

  • Unmarried women above 30 shouldn’t consider abortion- Uche Ogbodo

Unmarried women above 30 shouldn’t consider abortion- Uche Ogbodo

Popular actress, Uche Ogbodo has said unmarried women who have attained the age of 30 and above should not consider abortion because they may never be able to conceive again.

The actress spoke in an Instagram live session on Wednesday where she addressed women’s pressure with societal pressure when it comes to marriage and childbearing.

Mentioning herself as an example, Ogbodo condemned the stigmatisation of women who have babies out of wedlock in the society.

Ogbodo, however, said she remains unperturbed by the criticisms, noting that she is happy having a boyfriend.

“Many girls between 30 to 40 are dying to be married, to have a family, doing all sort of things so they can have a baby…some of them wait till 45 yet no husband. This is because the society will criticise them for having a baby out of wedlock,” she said.

“You’re aborting a baby at 35 and 40 because of what people would say, are you okay? When you get to 40 and you’re pregnant without a husband, please don’t abort it. If you do who will take care of you when you are old?”

Speaking further, she said women must drop the mentality that they must get married at any cost.

“It’s so painful when I see a lot of girls my age, they don’t look beautiful anymore and they were so pretty. I saw one yesterday I had to go back to the page to refresh…she was looking haggard, old and ugly,” she added.

“Please, stop killing your children, especially when you’re of age. Have your kids. If marriage comes, marry oh, if marriage no come, raise your children now. It’s not everyone that must get married.

“I’m 34. I already have a kid. This is going to be my second child. I have a boyfriend who loves me, I’m happy and I’m having my baby.”

  • I am happy about being pregnant outside wedlock- Uche Ogbodo

I am happy about being pregnant outside wedlock- Uche Ogbodo

Actress, Uche Ogbodo has stated that she is happy being pregnant outside wedlock despite being unmarried.Ogbodo made this known in a chat with The Sun.

In her words: “I have many reservations on the issue of marriage right now. You know, marriage is something that I wanted to try, but it didn’t work out initially. I’m not even thinking about it now but I’m very happy about having a child as a single mother. It’s fine if marriage comes later. So many women are depressed and looking old and haggard because of marriage and pregnancies. In Africa, we believe that it’s only a married woman that can get pregnant.

In fact, that’s what our parents taught us.But to whose detriment really? To the girl’s detriment of course. So many have become aged, many have entered menopause without kids just because they were waiting for men to marry them before they get pregnant. Who says that men don’t come to women who have kids? Even while I’m pregnant, men still come after me. So, what’s going on? There’s still time for marriage, I’m still young and beautiful. I can still get married anytime I want. But I have my kids, they are blessings to me.”

Back in 2014, the role interpreter had said she broke up with Ubby because the “union was full of lies.”

“My marriage was full of lies. I cannot tell you in detail what those lies were, if that’s what you’re trying to make me do but it was based on lies. It’s a pity it didn’t work out. I didn’t go into the marriage to crash it,” she had said.
