‘I’ve never truly been in love’ – BBNaija star, Vee confesses

Former Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) housemate, Victoria Adeyele better known as Vee has recently confessed that she has never truly been in love, citing trust and vulnerability issues.

The 27-year-old reality star during a recent interview on ‘Dear Ife’ podcast, shared her thoughts on love, where she distinguished between loving someone and being “blindly in love”.

She said, “You know to enjoy love you have to have no guard.

“You have to completely trust someone. And maybe that’s why I don’t think I have ever truly been there yet.

“I think I have loved someone but I don’t think I have been in love, like blindly in love.

“[Because] there’s always something… I’m someone who would see a red flag and maybe fold it up and keep it in my pocket. But I have it and I’m aware of it.”

The reality star also pointed out that lying is a major red flag for her.

She said, “Everyone has their red flags, but I think one major one that causes me to step back and keep my guard up is the lies.

“I’ve been in a situation where a random account messaged me with screenshots, saying that they had been sending naked pictures to my partner.

“She said that she wanted to test our relationship on my behalf, and he had seen them and liked a few.

“When I presented the situation to him, he said, ‘Oh, my manager was on that account, people are sharing my account’ and … just the story wasn’t straight at the end of the day.

“But I just knew lies were being told because it will never make sense … you know you can always sense when someone is lying.”

The fourth runner up for the BBNaija season five took to her Instagram story to lament about the series of illnesses she encountered since she came into the country.

According to her, she has been experiencing one illness after another.

She said, “Before I moved to Nigeria, I barely fell ill. Now it’s malaria one day, food poisoning the next. I’m always taking vitamins and supplements daily to avoid being sick.”

On what attracted him to Vee, Neo Akpofure her boyfriend said:” Her confidence was very sexy to me and it made me fall for her. Then, the way she talks. I could listen to her for the rest of my life. Her beauty is enchanting and she is very intelligent and focused. Although we share a few things publicly, we still try to keep our lives private. When one has someone that special, one can’t help but show her off.

“Every day, I am thankful for the ‘correct’ life I am living now. In 72 days, my life went from zero to more than a million— from grass to grace. • BBNaija’s star, Vee trade words on social media with clothing brand over botched deal

BBNaija’s star, Vee trade words on social media with clothing brand over botched deal

Vee, Ex-housemate of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija), and Zeena & Zara Limited, a clothing brand, have engaged in a heated war of words on Instagram over a contract fallout

The rift started on Tuesday after the reality TV star took to her Instastories to dissociate herself from the brand.

“I am no longer associated with Zeena and Zara brand, regard every image by me shared by them as false advertising and only do business with them at your prerogative,” she wrote.

In a follow-up post, Vee said Happiness Adebayo, the company’s chief executive officer (CEO), had earlier reached out to her about the deal expected to last for six months.

She claimed that a few days after the contract began, the company’s CEO, however, described her as “someone difficult to work with,” and thereafter demanded a refund.

The reality star said that her team had originally paid back two out of the initial 2.5 million naira — part payment made by the company — but an extra N500,000 was subtracted by her management.

Vee also said that both parties were still in the contract termination process when the company started sending out the information to media outlets for publication.

The reality TV star threatened legal action against the company, noting that her lawyer has already sent an email to them.

But reacting in a series of posts, the company slammed the reality TV star cum singer, while accusing her of not keeping to her end of the deal.

The company asked Vee to pay the balance of N1.9 million debt she is allegedly owing before considering termination of the contract.

“Apparently Vee paid 2million out of the 2.5m she was given for the deal she refused to honor. However, the shoot including the items she took cost about 1.4million which she insisted on not paying back,” it wrote in one of the posts.

“I mean, how can you sign a contract then refused to comply by posting the shoot done after which you decided to delete the picture of the contract signing. I believe we all understand what that means so since you couldn’t fulfill your end of the bargain, we decided to send her manager a mail to terminate the contract after 48 hours without response.

“Now she refused to pay for the loss incurred for the shoot, not forgetting that she made away with items worth 400k including the 500k balance from the ambassadorial deal payment, all tuning to about a total of 1.9million.

“Since she is not willing to pay for the loss incurred and the outstanding, the brand decided to use the content from the shoot done so as to minimize the loss incurred.

“Veeiye, please note that since you have refused to complete the outstanding, the Zeena & Zara brand will use all the content done on the shoot. This was discussed but you insisted on not paying, in case you change your mind, kindly pay up then the content will be taken down from our page. Thank you.”

BBNaija reunion: Tolanibaj knocks Vee, threatens her as verbal war escalates

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tolanibaj and Vee had an intense argument during the reunion show on Monday, which almost led to a physical fracas.

The argument ensued after the show host, Ebuka Uchendu asked Vee how she felt when Tolanibaj said she wanted to use her boyfriend, Neo to make Prince who she liked jealous.

Vee said she didn’t know about the triangle until the finale and added that all the insults she hurled at Tolanibaj in the house was from a place of pain.

According to her, Tolanibaj said she is not desperate but it was painful because she felt betrayed by her.

“Your friends watching at home should be scared of you. How do you do that to someone you are friends with? I remember when I came out of the house, I apologized for all I said but after I got my phone and saw all the clips. I felt stupid. You claim not to be desperate but desperation is written all over you.

Tolanibaj who fired back, asked if Vee was trying to cause a scene or mad that she blocked her.

She, however, picked a pillow and threw it at Vee.

Tolanibaj further accused Vee of being a bitter leaf and a witch. She stated that Vee was a wicked person for putting pepper in her food so that ulcer patients in the house woukd not eat.

But Vee continued, “I agree I am a witch and bitterleaf. I was irrational in the house and I apologized for that but I feel Tolanibaj has always had something against me. I saw the venom in her face. You keep saying you are bad but you see me everywhere, yet you didn’t do anything until now.

“I have every single right to be angry.”

But Tolanibaj promised to teach Vee a lesson at their Hotel after the shoot.

“I will teach you that I’m not your mate. We will meet at the hotel. When you see Tolanibaj, you will go another way. I want to smack you on live TV,” she said.

“I have too many young girls following me to be the face of any skin bleaching products. I’m a size 10, so why would I be representing slimming products?

“I refuse to be a cliche. If it takes me a little longer to get to where I wanna be, then so help me God.
