    How Jim Iyke tried to kill – Gideon Okeke

    Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has reopened his long-standing conflict with fellow actor Jim Iyke.

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the actor claimed that Iyke once attempted to shoot him during a film production.

    He made the allegation in an emotional video shared on Instagram, where he also apologised for his recent public outbursts.

    Gideon explained that the incident allegedly happened on January 18, 2024, during a heated moment on set.

    According to him, Jim Iyke reached for a gun with the intention to harm him.

    He said if the action had succeeded, the result could have been fatal.

    Although he did not mention the names of those present, he expressed disappointment that none of them have spoken up about what happened.

    While addressing the matter, he also apologised to his fans, colleagues, and supporters, saying his recent behaviour was not consistent with the person they knew.

    He admitted his actions were wrong but insisted that his fears and pain from the past event are real and unresolved.

    He said: “I want to apologise to anybody who cares remotely about me or my work… to my friends, fans, lovers of Gideon, if I still have any left.

    “Without being adamant, I respectfully maintain that an obituary wouldn’t have been fair on me either if Jim Iyke had succeeded in using that gun he wanted to use on the 18th of January.

    “Nobody would have been there to defend my cause, because the people who were present till today have feigned ignorance. I’m not calling their names… but I felt, wow, this is the life.

    “I really am sorry… but I will cease and desist from now. I am sorry. I mean it. Pardon me. Forgive me. Point is made.”

    Zack Orji, the renowned Nigerian actor, has come under heavy criticism after videos surfaced on social media showing him sharing plantain chips for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports the actor, alongside other celebrities and some important persons, recently stormed the streets of Mararaba, Abuja, to campaign for President Bola Tinubu.

    In the video that flooded social media, the actor alongside Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Tinubu, is seen distributing food items, including Plantain chips, as they urged the public to trust in the President Tinubu-led administration.

    However, what caught the attention of many was the photo of Orji distributing food items, including chips, to the public.

    The controversial scene left tongues wagging in the Nigerian movie space as many condemned the actor for sharing a food item as mere as plaintain chips amid biting hunger and hardship

    One user wrote: “I’m highly disappointed in most of these celebrities who are supposed to be our voices but they’re being used as a tool by the government. They’ve lost our respect big time!”

    Another user wrote: “Very shameful of them. Apart from zack oji, what is the other guy name as shown in the picture?”

    Veteran actor Chinedu Okeke speaks on quitting Nollywood over armed robbery roles

    Chinedu Okeke veteran Nollywood has shut down rumours claiming he dumped the movie industry because he was tired of always being cast as an armed robber.

    The actor, known for his gritty performances in action-packed movies like Issakaba, Peace Maker, Shina Rambo, and V-Boot, broke his silence in a recent interview where he cleared the air on reports that he quit acting due to being stereotyped in violent roles.

    Earlier this year, reports began circulating online suggesting that Chinedu had stepped away from the spotlight after allegedly begging filmmakers to stop offering him roles that involved crime, robbery, and bloodshed.

    The reports also claimed that the actor had become frustrated because people were starting to associate him with the criminal characters he portrayed, and it was affecting his real life.

    But Chinedu is now speaking up. According to him, he never made any such statement and has no reason to complain about the very roles that made him popular in the first place.

    What do you think made me who I am today? It’s action movies, so why would I complain? I never granted that interview,” he said firmly.

    He made it clear that not only is he still very much interested in acting, but he’s also available, jobless, and actively seeking roles, any role.

    Please, producers, call me now. I want to work. I’m redundant and looking for work, any role. Be it the role of an armed robber or assassin. If you have a romantic role too, bring it, I want it and make people understand that I can do anything.”

    The popular actor died as a result of complications arising from prostrate.

    It would be recalled that Charles Oputa popularly known Charly Boy had in a statement disclosed that Njemanze had been diagnosed with prostate cancer and needed money for urgent surgery. He urged Nigerians to come to his aid.

    Veteran Nollywood actor,  Segun Arinze, has  refuted the claims that he is battling for his life due to a strange illness and needs financial assistance.

    TheNewsGuru reports that the veteran actor cleared the air after photos of him looking frail with a swollen stomach made the rounds on social media.

    Reacting, the actor via his social media on Friday noted that the viral photos were taken on a movie set and do not reflect his actual health condition.

    Segun Arinze who noted that he is hale and hearty, thanked all those who reached out through calls and messages and warned fans against falling for scams.

    The movie star further warned his fans and followers against giving anybody money in the name of donations for his treatment.

    He said, “I want to thank my fans, friends and associates all over the world for reaching out to me through calls and WhatsApp messages to find out how I’m doing.
    “As you can see, I’m very fine. Please, I am as fit as a fiddle.  Those pictures flying around where taken from film set. I don’t know why some people decided to cause some mischief with them.

    “I will continue to do my work, I will continue to contribute to the growth of my industry and Nigeria. God bless you. I love you.”

    Nigerian media personality, Radiogad, whose real name is Destiney Ezeyim, has made serious allegations against veteran actor Nkem Owoh, popularly called by his stage name, Osuofia.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Nkem Owoh, clocked 70 years of age on the 7th of February, 2025, has been in the entertainment industry for over four decades

    In a recent post, Radiogad claimed that Owoh has been involved in extramarital affairs with up aspiring actresses and allegedly abandoning his wife and children.

    The media personality, who on his TikTok, made these allegations, advised the actor to turn a new leaf before it is too late.

    “Osuofia aband0n£d his wife and children, he is busy kn**king small small girls wey wan blow for movie industry , osuofia please you need to change you are now a 70 years old man My Evidence is on google,” Radiogad wrote in a caption.

    The allegations have sparked heated debate on social media, with many fans of the actor coming to his defense and dismissing Radiogad’s claims as malicious and baseless.

    Others have accused Rdioagad of being jealous and envious of the veteran actor’s success and achievements leaving a set of people demanding for the media personality to back his claims.

    The actor is yet to respond to the allegations made by Radiogad as at the filing of this reports.

    He said, “The saddest moment in my life was when I was told my first child died. It was very hard on me.

    “It was hard because of the situation surrounding the child’s birth. It was very hard on me but no one can question the authority of God. It was so bad and I do not pray for such anymore.”

    Veteran actor, Jide Kosoko bags royal appointment

    Veteran Nollywood actor, Jide Kosoko, has been officially appointed as the head of the Oteniya branch of the prestigious King Kosoko royal family in Lagos.

    The actor via his verified Instagram page shared the news, disclosing that he was presented to the Oloriebi in Council on October 12 which was on a Saturday.

    He was also reconfirmed as the official Ambassador of the family.

    In his post, Kosoko wrote: “Officially, I am now the Head (Olori ebi) Oteniya branch of the King Kosoko Royal Family, as I was presented to the Oloriebi in Council yesterday, 12th of October. I have also been re-confirmed as the official Ambassador of the Family. I pray that Almighty God, In his infinite mercy, gives me the wisdom to contribute my quota to the unity and progress of the Family”.

    As the new head of the Oteniya branch, the veteran actor is expected to play a vital role in protecting and promoting the cultural heritage of the family and also promoting peace, unity and progress in the royal family.

    The son of popular Nollywood actor Adebayo Salami popularly called Oga Bello, Abdulhakeem Salami on Saturday wedded his lover, Aisha in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

    Wale oversees Flexyklin, a company involved in cleaning and landscaping with offices in Abuja, Lagos, Ilorin, and Ibadan.

    Femi is an actor and property lawyer, also running the J-15 School of Performing Arts in Ibadan.

    Sadiq manages Blackman Entertainment and works as a location manager, while Tope is a movie director.

    Ridwan specialises in video editing, Layiwola runs a boutique, Hammed coordinates a private school, while Akeem is a fashion designer.
