    2025: Oromoni pledges improved infrastructure, welfare in Warri South-West

    Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni has pledged to improve on infrastructure and welfare of the people in year 2025.

    Hon. Oromoni gave the pledge on Monday, at Ogbe-Ijoh, during inspection of several key projects aimed at improving infrastructure and welfare in the Council area.

    The projects include a new police station, a multipurpose police officers’ mess, and an administrative staff quarters comprising 46 flats, all designed to enhance security and the welfare of police officers.

    Additionally, the Chairman inspected the Secretariat canteen and the Council’s official jetty, which are also under construction.

    This visit marks his first appearance at the council this year, ahead of his official resumption next Monday.

    A brief prayer session, led by Pastor Vincent Udume Odogbor, was held in the Chairman’s office, dedicating the administrative year to God and setting a hopeful tone for 2025.

    In an interview with newsmen, Hon. Oromoni outlined his vision for the projects and the council’s broader goals.

    He emphasized the importance of these developments in aligning with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Meaningful Development Plan for Deltans.

    “These projects are very dear to me, as they are integral to improving the lives of the people of Warri South-West. I believe our communities deserve to experience this monumental developmental drive,” he stated.

    Hon. Oromoni expressed optimism that the projects would be completed within his first year in office, resources permitting. “We also have other social welfare programmes planned for the benefit of a large number of our residents, and we hope to expand these initiatives in the new year by God’s grace,” he added.

    Head of Works Department, Engr. J.O. Akpodemrae, provided an update on the progress, assuring that all structures have undergone necessary civil engineering and building approvals.

    He reiterated the local government’s commitment to completing these projects promptly and to the highest standards.

    This comprehensive development plan underscores Warri South West’s commitment to fostering growth and improving the quality of life for its residents.

    Oromoni architect of modern Warri South-West – Penawou

    Delta State Government, Tuesday, commended the Chairman of Warri South-West Local Government Council, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni for initiating several impactful infrastructural projects in the Council area.

    The State Commissioner, Directorate of Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Prince Kelly Penawou, gave the commendation, during inspection of ongoing projects in Ogbe-Ijoh, initiated by the Sylvester Oromoni led Warri South West Local Government Council.

    The Commissioner who described Oromoni as the “architect of modern Warri South-West”, praised the chairman’s efforts, stating, ‘The chairman is very visionary, and also doing well by following the MORE agenda.

    “With what I am seeing here, I am very sure His Excellency the Governor will be happy with your leadership in the Council, putting the interest of the people above other interests and I pray for good health and proper funding for him to complete these projects because he has good things in mind for his people.’

    The projects inspected include a canteen for the local government secretariat, a standard jetty, and police and administrative staff quarters, all geared towards improving infrastructure and enhancing service delivery in the area.

    On his part, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, who’s aligned with the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, believes that the only way for the good people of Warri South-West to understand the MORE Agenda, is to see infrastructure and human capital development projects springing up across the LGA.

    “The projects when completed, will improve security operations, provide a more safe jetty for water transportation around the local government, enhance workers productivity as well as the welfare of the local government workers.

    “Warri South-West should expect more projects and programs that will make our lives better,” Hon. Oromoni added.

    Delta LG Polls: Oromoni promises ‘big deal’ for Warri South-West

    As Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flags-off campaign for the Local Government elections in Warri South-West Local Government Area tomorrow, Chairmanship candidate of the party Chief Sylvester Oromoni has promised a big deal for the people.

    In a statement on Tuesday to welcome leaders of the party to Ogbe-Ijoh for the flag-off exercise, Oromoni with his campaign theme tagged “Assurance 2024” urged the people to expect more if elected.

    He said that his administration would focus on providing streetlights to light up communities, healthcare for sustainable living and human capital development in terms of welfare packages for the people.

    He stressed that the growth and development of the people remains the highest calling of leadership and therefore would strive to ensure that the people’s welfare remained paramount in his administration if elected come July 13, 2024.

    While thanking Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and party leadership in the state and local government for his choice as standard flag bearer of the party, Oromoni assured that he would not dissapoint the people if elected into office.

    He urged party faithful in all the wards and people of the local government area to come out en-masse to welcome the party’s campaign train to Ogbe-Ijoh,  the council headquarters.
