    Skales weds fiancée weeks after engagement

    Nigerian singer, Skales, has tied the knot with Hassanity, his fiancée.

    The music star took to his Instagram page to share a video of the traditional marriage which took place on Saturday.

    “Special day alert. My attitude bigger now… love always my bro @harmonize_tz,” he wrote in a brief post accompanying the video.

    The event was graced by several celebrities including Harmonize, Tanzanian music star.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that two weeks before, Skales engaged the model on her birthday.

    “The last time I felt this nervous was my first time on stage. Badman finally got the loving. She said YES…,” he had said at the time.

    Back in 2019, Skales revealed why he is yet to get married.

    “A while ago, I used to wonder about the possibility of combining marriage or a dedicated love life with my music career. But as time went by, I came to the realisation that with the right partner; someone you have true friendship with, marriage may just not be as complicated as I had thought.

    ‘‘Right now, I am in a relationship and all I can say about my woman and me is that I’m happy. I’m very happy. When it comes to getting married to her, I believe anything is possible. Life is crazy and I’m really learning that you can never say never; so let’s see. What is meant for me will be for me. I truly believe this. So if it’s meant to be, it will be,” Skales had said.

    Actress, Biola Adebayo stunned her fans when she took to her Instagram page on Tuesday, 27th of April, 2021 to announce that she will be tying the knot.

    An excited Biola took to her Instagram page to share the good news.

    SAD! Trigger-happy vigilante kills man seven days to wedding

    A-29-year-old man, Mr Chukwudi Chukwu, has been shot by a vigilante at Okposi community, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

    The deceased was said to be attending a wake with his friend at Nediokpa village, when the gun-wielding Hosanna Aju allegedly opened fire on him on Tuesday.

    It was gathered that the victim was to wed on April 28, 2021, before his life was cut short by the trigger-happy local security man.

    The victim, it was further learnt, hailed from Amoji Nenwe community, in the Aninri LGA of Enugu State.

    The deceased’s friend, who attended the wake with him, Mr Innocent Ezeogo, told our correspondent that the attacker approached them shortly after arriving at the venue and wanted to fire a shot in their midst.

    He noted that they complained against the move and stood up to leave when the gunman shot his friend dead.

    The victim’s wife-to-be, Juliana Nnamani, stated she was still in shock over sad occurrence .

    She called on the police to ensure the diligent prosecution of the culprit.

    A brother of the deceased, Mr Emeka Chukwu highlighted that the incident was a pointer to the number of illegal arms in circulation in the country.

    When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs Loveth Odah, confirmed the incident.

    Odah explained that the culprit had been arrested and that investigations revealed that he was not a vigilante.

    She added that the source of the locally-made gun could not be ascertained.

    She said, “Plans have been concluded to arraign the suspect.”

    Popular comedian, Oluwatoyin Bayegun better known as Woli Arole, has announced his engagement to Yemi, his girlfriend.

    The funnyman broke the news on Tuesday in a series of loved-up photos of the pair on his Instagram page.

    “Yemi why did you laugh like that? You thought prophets are not romantic? Haba, some of us are… I know you have bet it with your friends,” he wrote in one of the photos.

    “You said ‘Arole is only spiritual’ Now I just disappointed them. My people, I have done well. #BecomingtheBayeguns #IyawoWoliArole. Your smile makes me happy.”

    Yemi is also seen flaunting her engagement ring in another photo with a smile imprinted on her face.

    Arole noted that their love journey started in London, expressing his pleasure that they’re finally set to get married.

    He also said that the wedding would take place next month using the hashtags #April and #Weddingbells separately.

    “A journey that started somewhere in London. So glad I am walking down the aisle with you. You’re a blessing to me. Yemmy Yemmy like I love to call YOU. Ololufemi Owon. #April #Weddingbells,” he added.

    TheNewsGuru gathered that the lovebirds have been friends for six years before the comedian finally popped the question.

    In a recent Instagram live session with her fans, Sobola said she doesn’t want to be judged based on social media.

    ““Life is short. I am not one of those people that come on social media to abuse people. I don’t judge people. Let people write about others; the question is, who are you behind your keyboard? Who are you behind closed doors? Do not judge anybody. There is always a reason for whatever is put out there about anybody. There are a lot of things I see on social media that I look at and smile, because it is not my business.

    “I would not judge anyone based on what I read on social media. Even if it is something written about me, I just smile and look away. However, looking away sometimes does not mean I am stupid. Try not to be in a position to judge anybody.”

    Popular singer, Harrysong has announced that he will be getting married on March 27.

    The ‘Reggae Blues’ crooner shared a picture of himself and fiancée on Instagram on Thursday.

    He said the wedding will be held in Warri, Delta State.

    “ALL SHADES I got it perfect this time. March 27th at the KFT event center Warri delta state,” he wrote.

    Harrysong in an interview had said he halted plans to get married because he was “not sure anymore”.

    He said, “Everything about marriage has been suspended for now,” the musician born Harrison Okiri said, adding that he was focusing on his music and business. The truth is that I’m still young and having the passion to settle down early is a normal feeling. When you meet someone and don’t really connect is a pointer of what could happen later in life.

    “You can’t manage yourself into a life-time journey, you have to be 100 per cent sure. In my case, I wasn’t so sure anymore. There are some things I can’t talk about. For now, I have to manage it on my own.”

    However, one of the videos that surfaced online which captured Laycon performing depicted total disregard for COVID-19 protocols.

    A bride-to-be, Fatima Hassan Fari has died on her wedding day in Funtua Local Government Area of Katsina State.

    It was gathered that Fatima died at 7:am on Saturday, January 2, 2021, three hours to her wedding Fatiha slated at 10:am.

    She was buried at 2:pm same Saturday, according to Islamic rites.

    Meanwhile, friends and family members have taken to Facebook to mourn her death. A school friend, Mallam Muhammad Sani Isah described Fatima as an upright lady and a humanitarian.

    “Farewell to my school friend Fatima Hassan Fari , who left us today’s morning to go to a better place where there is no pain and she can join her father,’ he wrote.

    “I truely had her in a million, she was a perfect upright ledy and total humanitarian. No matter what people said or if they did her wrong she would not judge but look for an amicable solution.She faced foe with a brave heart and would not retreat from the cause until all parties were happy. I at times accused her of making excuses for the devil. Her motto was “even if the other person is wrong you do what is right!”

    “Innallahi wainnailaihirajiun Fatima is no more May Allah SWT forgives her shortcomings and reward her good deeds with Jannatil Firdaus. My sincere to condolence to her family and Especially Asacosa’s members . May Allah SWT give them the fortitude to bear this great loss.”

    Nigerian pop star, David Adeleke better known as Davido, has fulfilled his promise to be the best man at the wedding of Tunde, his driver.

    The singer took to his social media pages on Sunday to share beautiful photos of himself and other guests at the event.

    In one of the photo, Davido stunned in an orange and brown agbada while Tunde wore a blue agbada, as they pose for the camera with smiles etched on their faces.

    He had also accompanied the photo with a succinct post wishing the newly-married couple a happy home.

    “E choke !!! Love you Tunde. Happy married life!!!,” he wrote.

    The ‘OBO’ crooner also shared several videos from the wedding on his Instagram story where he could be seen performing ‘FEM‘, a track off ‘A Better Time’, his latest album, with the crowd vibing to the song.

    Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has announced that he will be the best man at his driver’s wedding.

    The ‘FEM’ crooner said this in a tweet on Thursday.

    “My driver getting married …. and I’m his best man,” he wrote.

    Afeare Israel also known as Israel DMW is the logistics manager to the 28-year-old pop star.

    Davido, who is yet to get married in an interview with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio live in September said that the coronavirus pandemic ruined his plan to marry Chioma in July.

    “Honestly, Corona messed plans up because it was meant to be in July. I have decided it would be sometime next year,” he said.

    The multiple award-winning artiste recently revealed that ever since the death of his friend, Zimbabwean socialite, Ginimbi, he realized that material things are inconsequential.

    “I feel like material things are just becoming useless to me every day. I just lost a friend he is from Zimbabwe, he was my very close friend. He was an amazing and a very great and loving guy, Ginimbi. What did he not have? He had it all. At the end of the day what his death made me realize is that all we have in this life is the air we breathe. You might be poor or rich but whatever situation you find yourself just be happy that you are alive,” he said.
