My wife demands bribe before sex, says pastor

A 48-year-old pastor, Abayomi Adegboyega, is seeking dissolution of his 16-year-old marriage, alleging that his wife always demands `bribe’ from him before sex.

Adegboyega told an Igando Customary Court in Lagos State on Wednesday to end the marriage on grounds that his wife, Risikat, denied him sex.

“My wife starves me of sex, she will never allow me to sleep with her unless I give her money or buy her a gift,” he said.

He said that he would kill himself if the court would not dissolve the union which produced four children.

“Risikat should never come near me. I do not want to have anything to do with her again.

“She is irritating me. I will kill myself if the loveless marriage is not dissolved,” he told the court.

The petitioner also alleged that his wife cooked his food late and tarnished his image in public.

“My wife wants my ministry to collapse, she defames my character before my members and others; people who want to help me refuse because of what they hear from her,”he said.

He added that Risikat fought his church members.

However, 39-year-old Risikat, denied all the allegations and accused her husband of threatening her life with charms.

“My husband told me that he would use charm to destroy my life; indeed, after few weeks, I was very sick; everywhere my family took me to, they said it was a spiritual attack, the trader alleged.

The mother of four claimed that she never denied Abayomi sex and did not cook his food late.

She also denied fighting her husband or members of his church.

The respondent accused her husband of beating her at the slightest provocation.

She added that Abayomi chased her and the children out of her matrimonial home since nine months ago, without sending money for their upkeep.

“He is just looking for an excuse to dump me. If he wants to marry another wife, he should go ahead instead of making false allegations against me,” she said.

She prayed the court not to dissolve the union, saying that she still loved him in spite of his misbehaviour.

The President of the court, Mr Adeniyi Koledoye, urged both parties to maintain the peace and forgive each other for the sake of their children.

He adjourned the case till July 11 for judgment

Return my virginity, good health, if you want dissolution – Wife tells husband

A 28-year-old woman, Toriola Suliat on Wednesday told her husband, Toriola Lateef, that she would only consent to his request for the dissolution of their marriage if he returns her virginity and good health, as she was two years ago before the union.

Suliat stated her conditions before an Iseyin Grade C Customary Court, where the husband had gone seeking for the dissolution of the marriage over “frequent public embarrassment.”

He told the Court that Suliat was in the habit of harassing him at his work place and social functions attended by his friends and relatives.

The husband said he had to move out of their matrimonial home due to the unbearable development.

Responding, Suliat said she was charmed by Toriola before she agreed to marry him.

“Ideally I will not marry this type of human being, if not for the charm he used on me.

“I was looking for charm to help my business grow and he told me that he will need to get some hairs from my private part and also make love to me, that was how I found myself married to him.

“When I got to his house, my business boomed and he also made lot of money too and we got it renewed twice but now my health is deteriorating and he now moved out of the house.

“He must look for a way to return my virginity and my health, before he can say he wants to leave me.”

Ruling on the matter, the President of the Court, Chief Raheem Adelodun, said the case would be put on hold until the health condition of Suliat improves.

He ordered the families of the estranged couple to seek urgent medical help for Suliat and update the Court every 15 days.

  • My wife is a street fighter, man tells court

My wife is a street fighter, man tells court

An Ibadan-based tyre dealer, Moruf Gbolagade, on Tuesday told a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan that he consented to part ways with his estrange wife, Sekinat, because “she is a street fighter.“

Countering his wife’s earlier allegation of incessant battering and irresponsibility, Moruf told the court that he was provoked to stop loving his wife because of her troublesome nature.

“I concluded that I would no longer love Sekinat again due to the numerous disgrace and insult she had brought on me and my extended family.

“If Sekinat is not fighting with our neighbours in the house, she will be insulting my parents and instigating problems in the neighbourhood.

“During the 2018 Ramadan fast, Sekinat went as far as six streets, away from ours, to cause trouble such that I was summoned to a meeting of landlord association.

“In fact, she also fought at that meeting.

“Most of the time at work, people call me that Sekinat is fighting somewhere and even during the just concluded Ramadan fast.

“Despite all my efforts on her, Sekinat keeps disobeying my instructions.

`“Worst still, she has joined a gang of rascally women who have no integrity in the community, to create unrest.

“This is the reason why she now lives like a hooligan, leaving home at noon and returning only in the dead of the night.

“My lord, Sekinat hasn’t got the character to train the children, please, don’t give her the children’s custody,” Moruf begged.

However, the plaintiff had maintained that she was merely managing to survive as a result of her husband’s wickedness to her.

“My lord, my 20 years of marriage to Moruf has been a waste because there is virtually nothing I know how to do in Moruf’s home.

“None of his relatives want to see me.

“Moruf suddenly stopped eating any food that I prepared and also refused to give the children and I money for sustenance.

“Besides, he has been accusing me of consulting witch doctors for the purpose of trying to kill him.

“I have been solely responsible for the children’s education,” Sekinat explained.

All the people who testified for either party firmly requested the court to dissolve the marriage.

In his observation, Chief Ademola Odunade, the court’s President, advised parents to stop meddling in their children’s marital lives.

Odunade added that parents who erroneously supported the collapse of their children’s marriage would definitely share their children’s agony.

“In the interest of peaceful living, the union between Sekinat and Moruf has ceased to be.

“The custody of the five children produced by the union is awarded to Sekinat and Maroof shall pay N20, 000 as monthly feeding allowance for the children’s upkeep.

“Moruf is also to be responsible for their education and other welfare.

”He shall pay N12, 000 to enable the mother and the five children rent a year apartment,” he said.

  • Imo: Stop harassing my wife, children – Okorocha warns Ihedioha

Imo: Stop harassing my wife, children – Okorocha warns Ihedioha

Rochas Okorocha, Senator representing Imo West has warned the State Governor, Emeka Ihedioha to stop harassing his wife and children.

Okorocha, who is the immediate past governor of the state said harassing his wife and children by the Ihedioha-led state government was unacceptable.

The lawmaker’s warning was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on media, Sam Onwuemedo.

He challenged the governor to take charge as the leader of the State and halt the incessant harassment and abuse of his wife and children by his senior appointees.

The statement reads: Thugs believed to be working for the secretary to the State Government, Chief Onyeaguocha invaded a mechanic workshop around the Orji flyover and took away a vehicle undergoing repair and owned by the daughter of the former governor, Uloma Nwosu nee Okorocha.

“Even when she later sent her staff with the particulars of the vehicle they took away, to show that the vehicle does not belong to the State Government and to show that she bought the vehicle long time ago, they threatened to beat her and detain her and never cared to look at the particulars of the vehicle.

“If Ihedioha’s government wanted anything from any of the former governor’s children or wife they could do so through the Police or DSS in the State. Invading their houses or impounding their private vehicles even from the mechanics for any reason, is barbaric and should be frowned at.’

“We want to make this appeal and ask Governor Emeka Ihedioha to take charge as the governor of the State and halt the incessant harassment and abuse of the wife and children of the former governor of the State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha by his senior appointees and their foot soldiers. Specifically, Governor Ihedioha should call Uche Onyeaguocha and his thugs to order and stop them from their harassment and abuse of the wife and children of the former governor.

“Chief Ihedioha should not create an ugly history or set a very bad precedence as the first governor of the State who took delight in harassing the children and wife of the man he succeeded as governor.

“Chief Ikedi Ohakim never harassed or abused the children and wife of Achike Udenwa he succeeded as governor. Owelle Rochas Okorocha for one day, never harassed or abused the wife and children of Chief Ohakim who he succeeded also as governor. Ihedioha should follow those examples.

“His appointees have been harassing and castigating the children and wife of the former governor even at public functions and in the media. This is not good for the Office of governor. They can criticize or malign Rochas Okorocha on any issue which they have been doing, but to begin to harass the children and wife, is unacceptable to us and indeed, to all decent men and women in the society.

” Thugs believed to be working for the secretary to the State Government, Chief Onyeaguocha invaded a mechanic workshop around the Orji flyover and took away a vehicle undergoing repair and owned by the daughter of the former governor, Uloma Nwosu nee Okorocha.

” Even when she later sent her staff with the particulars of the vehicle they took away, to show that the vehicle does not belong to the State Government and to show that she bought the vehicle long time ago, they threatened to beat her and detain her and never cared to look at the particulars of the vehicle.

If Ihedioha’s government wanted anything from any of the former governor’s children or wife they could do so through the Police or DSS in the State. Invading their houses or impounding their private vehicles even from the mechanics for any reason, is barbaric and should be frowned at.

“It is also important to remind those who have got appointments for chewing election result sheets that no human being has the monopoly of thuggery or lawlessness and the most dangerous situation could arise when people are pushed to the wall. It also gives the wrong impression that those who want to be Secretary to the Government of the State should only need to tear or chew election result sheets.

Okorocha’s wife and children never committed any crime by remaining in the State after he had left as governor, when the children and wives of those before him are all at overseas.

“They are here because they believe in the State and Owelle has an addiction for the good of the State. Finally, people should not see Rochas Okorocha’s penchant for peace and tolerance as weakness. A word should be enough for the wise.”

  • Inside story of Oluwo of Iwo’s messy fight with Muslim cleric, Sheik Adio

Inside story of Oluwo of Iwo’s messy fight with Muslim cleric, Sheik Adio

    • Sheik Adio vows to leak audio of Oluwo wooing his wife via phone

The Oluwo of Iwoland Oba AbdulRasheed Akanbi has been enmeshed in yet another controversy after he was publicly confronted by Sheikh Adio at the last Eid Fitri celebration in Iwo.

Angered by the monach’s excesses Sheikh Adio who accused the monarch of making several attempts at sleeping with his wife told TheNewsGuru [TNG] that he will soon release phone conversation, other evidences to back the allegations.

Recall that that Sheikh Adio who was supposed to lead prayers at the event [Eid Fitri celebration], got into a heated exchange and eventually confronted the Oluwo of Iwoland after the monarch told worshippers present to ignore the cleric and go to other Mosques for prayers.

Firing back at the Osun monarch, Sheikh Adio stated that the Oluwo of Iwoland who wanted to sleep with his wife, was fighting him because he stopped his distasteful quest.

This is the videos from the scene of the incident:

    The feud: How it began:

Sheik Adio explained that being one of the staff and executive of the central mosque in Iwo, he had a very close relationship with the Oluwo when he was crowned king.

He noted that things went bad folllwoing a misunderstanding between the king and one Chief Abiola Ogundokun, a philantropist who also doubles as the Bashorun Musulumi of Iwo land.

Adio told TNG that when the clash happened between the duo, the king ordered him [Adio] to write a letter to announce that Oladokun had been removed as the Bashorun Musulumi of Iwo land.

Adio, noted that he however, advised the king to desist from plotting the removal of Ogundokun.

He furthered, ‘That was where my problem started with the king. The King told me no problem and went ahead to announce the removal of Ogundokun as Bashorun Musulumi himself. I told him at the time that he cannot do that because Bashorun Musulumi is not a title of the palace – it is an islamic title meant for the clerics and not a kingship title. That was the first time the King and I had an argument.

“After the King announced Chief Abiola Ogundokun’s removal, the man proceeded to court and all these happened in 2017. Right now the case is still in the court.

“In Islam, there is a saying that, ‘Alfa is the father of the king’, Oluwo wanted to change it to ‘King is the father of the Alfa’.. So I delivered a lecture to counter that, which i said ‘Alfa is the father of the king’ and cited the Holy Quran verse to back-up my saying, then the Oluwo also got angry with that. And i also said, God said he will call the Imams first on the last day of judgement…”.

What is your wife connection with the all issue ?

“After the whole incident, he started chasing my wife. I can call that my told me that the Oluwo met her on the way, he parked to have a conversation with my wife saying, ‘Where are you going, Alfa’s wife, why didn’t your husband take you to where you going to, the sun hot, come in let me help you to your destination.

My wife told him not to not bother, that her husband has a visitor which is why he couldn’t take her out.

That same day Oluwo told my wife, I can do better than your husband, after that time he calls my wife and still repeat the same statement and my wife told him he should be very careful.

I can’t really say this was how he got my wife’s number, what i know was that when I and the king first had issue, my wife will tell me that the King said both of us should come to the palace.. I told my wife how did you know, did you call him or he called and how did he get your number. But the only thing i can say is, he has my wife’s number” He said.

Adio also assured that he will forward phone conversations between his wife and the king amongst other evidences.

    Oluwo of Iwo’s reaction:

    The Oluwo of Iwoland, however, took to social media to address the viral video with an allegation of trying to sleep with Sheik Adio’s wife. He wrote;

FREEDOM OF SPEECH, IM NOT FAMOUS ENOUGH MAKE ME MORE FAMOUS AROUND THE WORLD

Thanks to my friends and so-called enemies (I call them uplifters) for making me so famous around the world !!! One day, they will call me Yahoo king… another day, they will call me gay and then just a day before I just heard a new one… a gbaruku alfa who is not even an Imam , a 16th position otun ajanasi says” you want to sleep with my wife”

The Mosque called Oluwo mosque in Iwo was built by my forefathers a king in the 17th century and happens to be the first mosque in southwest Nigeria but now…. OKIKI TI MONI YI OITO EDUMARE, BAMI WA MISI EDUMARE but guess what?

This errant man has been deposed and replaced by one of his enemies…. in Iwo kings mosque, only me the Oluwo of Iwoland can turban a chief Imam of the land and our own history in Iwo is different from other towns in Yorubaland,

if there is no Oluwo and the Chief Imam pass away …. there won’t be any Chief Imam until another king is crowned and it has happened before when there was a vacuum for the stool for over 10 years(1982-1992) there was no king on seat and nobody can make a chief Imam for the Kings mosque

  • Court sentences man to prison for stabbing wife 38 times

Court sentences man to prison for stabbing wife 38 times

Mohammad Qoraishi, aged 27, of Hull, was jailed for a minimum of 16 years and 82 days on June 7, 2019, for murdering his teenage wife.

Maidstone Crown Court heard he stabbed 19-year-old Parwin Quriashi 38 times on Christmas Day in 2018 at her home on London Road, Maidstone.

Qoraishi and the victim were cousins and had an arranged marriage in August 2018. He moved into her home five days before the attack.

The prosecutor Alexandra Healy explained that there had been tensions leading up to and following the marriage.

It was heard that Qoraishi hit his wife over the head with a frying pan before launching a “frenzied” attack with a kitchen knife.

He stabbed her in the head, neck, chest, thighs and abdomen. One wound to her neck was 6cm in depth.

Ms Healy said: “Parwin was just 19-years-old and was the victim of a ferocious and sustained attack in her own kitchen.

“She had 38 stab wounds to her head, chest and thighs.

“She had also been strangled and had been hit to the back of her head with a frying pan.”

Ms Healy added that some of the knife wounds could have been inflicted after Parwin was already dead.

Following the attack, Qoraishi drove to the port in an attempt to flee, however, it was shut as it was Christmas Day.

Qoraishi was arrested at the wheel of his car wearing blood-stained clothes.

Parwin was discovered in the flat when neighbours became worried after hearing noises and a woman’s screams.

Qoraishi was questioned four times by police. He claimed Parwin’s father had threatened him.

During a hearing in May 2019, Qoraishi pleaded guilty when he was expected to enter a not guilty plea.

After private talks with his barrister, Qoraishi appeared at his hearing via prison video link and repeated: “Guilty, guilty, guilty, guilty.”

Judge David Griffith-Jones QC told Qoraishi: “This was a senseless murder of your wife.

“Whilst I’m prepared to accept the murder was not premeditated but occurred in a fit of rage in which you snapped, it is clear that you knew what you were doing and your intention was to kill her.

“The inescapable fact is you performed these acts of utter barbarity and in the cold light of day you’ve had to face the enormity of what you’ve done.

“Given the extent and obvious ferocity of the attack and the injuries caused, there can be no doubt that your intention, whilst not premeditated… must have been to kill your wife.”

Defending Qoraishi was Bernard Tetlow QC who stated that the trigger for the attack was because of the arranged marriage.

He also explained that he was happy living in Hull and that Parwin’s father refused to let her move to Hull where her husband had a home and a job.

In a letter, Qoraishi said: “I am deeply ashamed about what I did and can only apologise from my heart and plead for forgiveness.”

Mohammad Qoraishi sat impassioned as he was jailed for life, to serve a minimum of 16 years and 82 days.

After the sentencing, senior investigating officer DCI Ivan Beasley said: “This was an unprovoked and savage attack on a defenceless young woman.

“Her tragic death at the hands of her husband has left a family mourning her loss.

“Qoraishi fled the scene and was tracked down by officers near Dover.

“It is only right that he will now spend a considerable time in prison for this brutal crime.”

  • I killed my boss’s wife because he sacked me – suspect

A 37-years old driver, Morenikeji Adeyemi on Friday said he killed his boss’s wife, Oyewumi Ayanwale because his boss sacked him for no reason after four years of working with him.

Adeyemi who was paraded by the Oyo state police command in Ibadan said he was able to lure the victim under the pretense of taking her for prayers.

According to him, he strangled the victim to death and consequently made away with her vehicle.
