  • My wife is destroying my ministry, pastor tells court

A 51-year-old Pastor, Rotimi Michael, has told an Oke-Ogbere Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve his 11- year-old marriage to his wife, Dolapo, alleging that she is destroying his ministry as a cleric.

Michael, resident at Olubonku-Olodo area of Ibadan told the court that his wife had made nonsense of his calling as a minister of God and might end his ministry if he did not end the marriage with her.

“To say the least my lord, I have for too long tolerated Dolapo’s arrogance, disrespect, stubbornness and stone-heartedness to me, probably due to my silence.

`She doesn’t even take instructions from me; instead, Dolapo consults other pastors around.

“Rather than supporting my ministry, she causes pandemonium that leads to crises in the church.

“In fact, Dolapo keeps nagging and I am completely fed-up with her, ‘’ Rotimi said.

The respondent (Dolapo) who consented to the suit could not deny the allegations levelled against her but explained the reasons for her action.

According to the 48 -year-old Prophetess, God had ministered to me that I must marry Pastor Rotimi.

“Rotimi no longer wants to see me because he now knows that my anointing is greater than his.

“Anytime I have a revelation for our congregation in the church, Rotimi, as the church overseer will not want God’s revelation to be shared because he feels that I might be greater than him.

“He prefers to tell lies to the congregation and his attitude is against my calling.

“For two years now, Rotimi has been starving me of sex. This is due to the fact that he has another wife in Lagos State.

“Besides, Rotimi is making desperate moves to terminate my life in another revelation by our son.

“He is currently blackmailing me around that I am a fake prophetess.

“Rotimi lacks any milk of human kindness because he no longer fends for the children and me.

“The land on which his church is built is jointly owned by both of us,’’ Dolapo said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that most of the witnesses called to testify in the matter wanted the marriage to be dissolved for peaceful coexistence.

However, some senior pastors of the church prayed the court to give them a grace of four weeks to intervene for amicable settlement.

The court’s President, Alhaji Suleiman Adeniyi, however, said that he was adjourning the case for the last time because he had done it on several occasions without any remedy.

Adeniyi adjourned the case till March 20 for judgment.

So funny story, yes we are twins but we were actually born on different days, in fact different years, lol. He was born 31st of December just a few minutes before midnight, and I was born on the 1st of January, few minutes after midnight. Our birth certificates carry different dates and years but that dosen’t change anything.

Although he celebrates his birthdays 31st December, he still gets birthday wishes on the 1st I celebrate mine on the 1st and 1st alone, I would always feel cheated growing up, but we are adults and he is now a Catholic priest and special so I guess it’s okay
Thank you for sharing mummy’s tummy with me brother, and eating all the food but you also decided to come out first to make sure it was safe for me to follow, it might be for selfish reasons but I chose to believe otherwise
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TWINNIE I Love you, remain blessed Rev”.

  • Charly Boy to stage catholic wedding after 40 years with wife

Charly Boy to stage catholic wedding after 40 years with wife

Controversial Nigerian entertainer and activist, Charly Boy is set to walk his wife, Lady Diane down the aisle in Abuja for formal exchange of marital vows.

The wedding will take place at the chapel of the Sisters of Jesus the Redeemer, Catholic Church , in Gwarimpa Estate, where he resides.

The ceremony which holds today, Saturday December 15, will be officiated by the opinionated Catholic clergy, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah. The wedding will have in attendance family members and close associates of the couple.

Charly Boy revealed that he hopes to convince his wife to ride with him in a tricycle to and from the church to emphasize the low-key nature of the ceremony.

The entertainer was first married to Stella at a Catholic Church in Onitsha in 1974. The relationship produced one child. The Catholic Church observes a strict marital doctrine which demands that couples who contracted a marriage on the church must petition the Catholic Pontiff for an annulment if they wish to opt out of the union.

According to Oputa, “We have been following through with the process of annulment for sometime. My former wife who has since remarried cooperated very well.

“She had no objection. The reason I put forward for the annulment was that I was underage. My mother actually got the wife for me at the age of 19 because I a little rascally with women. “Getting me married at that age was supposed to curb my sexual excesses.

Amazingly, Charly Boy’s mother is once again the reason he is contracting a formal marriage to Lady Diane, who has three children for him.

“This is not that kind of marriage with fanfare. I am doing it to please my aged mother. She has been pleading that we do the right thing.

“This is a woman I have been living with for 40 years. We know each other well. This is about obedience to certain demands of the society.

“People wonder how I am able to live with one woman all these years. It is not that we do not have misunderstanding.

“Marriage is successful when you are able to manage your incompatibility. I saw my parents quarrel, reconcile, kiss and hold hands again. These are the values that have guided me my relationship”, he said.

  • Oshiomhole denies rifts with Buhari’s wife, attacks PDP for ‘spreading fake news’

Oshiomhole denies rifts with Buhari’s wife, attacks PDP for ‘spreading fake news’

The National Chairman of the ruling all Progressives Congress (APC) has accused the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of spreading fake and malicious information about his relationship with the President’s wife, Aisha Buhari.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Simon Egbegbulem, Oshiomhole said the misinformation being peddled was part of the PDP’s plan to cause disaffection within the ruling party ahead of the 2019 general elections.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to the malicious and misleading statement credited to Oshiomhole against the person of the First Lady in the social media.

We want to state that it is the handiwork of mischief-makers. At no fora did the National Chairman made such uncomplimentary remarks against the person of the First Lady.

This is part of the fake news from the pit of hell being propagated by highly unscrupulous elements of the PDP and their cohorts, knowing fully well that they have lost the forthcoming general elections.

Unfortunately for the PDP, all their efforts to cause disaffection among members of the ruling party have failed. As we speak, both the first lady, the APC National Chairman and other leaders of our party enjoy cordial relationship and working in unison to ensure that the PDP looters do not return to power.

We urge the highly discerning people of our great country to disregard the misleading comment currently on the social media as it is not only fake, but equally untrue.

The tiger cannot change its spots, as the saying goes. PDP has chosen to remain the lying party it has always been.”

The All Progressives Congress (APC) senator representing Rivers South East constituency, Magnus Abe, has accused a former governor of Rivers State and current Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi of humiliating him in presence of his family members.

The senator said Amaechi who doubles as the Director General of the Buhari Campaign Organisation humiliated him by telling him not to contest in the presence of his wife.

The Interview magazine reports that Abe said Amechi’s actions may hurt the party badly in the forthcoming elections.

He also accused Amaechi of running a one-man show.

Abe said, “My grievances with the transportation minister has nothing to do with him supporting me or not. I have told him clearly that he is free to support who he wants. My disagreement with him is that he said I should not run, and I said I would run.”

The lawmaker added, “To come to my house, call me in front of my wife and tell me not to try contesting was the height of it. I said no, I would not accept, I would contest.”

Wife kills self, hubby, 3 kids in Makurdi

The Police Command in Benue has confirmed the killing of a man and his three children by his wife, who also took her life.

“The man, Mr Nicholas Adetsav, a staff of Makurdi Local Government Council, and his children, were killed on Friday night in Makurdi. His wife, who we believe is responsible for the death of the quartet, also killed herself.

“From information available to us, the woman has been having issues with her husband which might have culminated into this,” Mr Moses Yamu, the command’s spokesman, told the News Agency 0f Nigeria (NAN), on Saturday in Makurdi.

Yamu said that the couple, who lived at Vandeikya street, were both staff of Makurdi Local Government Council.

“They have been having issues; just yesterday(Friday), the woman was seen with a pestle trying to smash her husband’s car. No one knows the cause of their frequent fights.”

He said that Police personnel sent to the house found the man foaming in the mouth, the three kids already dead, while the woman, also dead, was found holding a knife in her hands.

“The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. on Friday; from what we have gathered, the couple fight on daily basis,” he told NAN.

Yamu said that investigation had begun toward determining the reasons for the actions, while the corpses had been deposited at the St. Theresa’s Catholic Hospital, Makurdi .

The Chairman, Makurdi Local Government Council, Mrs. Akange Audu, confirmed that the couple were employees of the local government council.

“The husband worked in the Department of Finance while his wife worked with the Department of Agriculture,” she said.

A cross section of the neighbors, who spoke to NAN, said that the couple had been having issues.

They said that the couple had been fighting since Friday afternoon, but no one appeared sure of the cause of their fights.

One of the neighbors told NAN that she stopped intervening on their quarrels when Mrs. Adetsav threatened her with a knife during one of such interventions.

  • My wife sacrificed her career to focus on the home-front- Saka

My wife sacrificed her career to focus on the home-front- Saka

Afeez Oyetoro, aka Saka, has revealed that his wife had to sacrifice her career as a teacher to focus on the home-front. The humorous actor noted that he was brought up with fear and it made him keep to himself as an undergraduate.

He said, “As a growing kid, I lived under very strict conditions that didn’t allow me to express myself. It affected me during my university days. I will never allow my children to be brought up by anyone. Also, parents need to know that there is a difference between fear and respect. I fear you doesn’t mean I respect you. Once you are close to me, I will do whatever you want but I know I will be free later. But if your child loves you, he or she will respect you even when you are not around.”
Speaking about the huge sacrifices made by his wife, he said: “I have a wonderful wife who shares my passion and vision. It is like God created the two of us for each other. She agreed and decided to leave her job so as to keep the house together. She is a graduate of Mathematics and she was a teacher when I met her. She has taken care of the home very well; that is why I speak passionately about her all the time.”
