I need help; my husband wants to kill me

A woman in her mid-twenties, who does not want to be named, has cried out for help after she learnt of plots by her husband to cause her harm and marry another woman.

A marriage counsellor shared the woman’s story with TheNewsGuru.com (TNG), seeking the opinion of the general public on how best to advise the young lady.

It started long ago, she narrated; but it got worse during the lockdown emplaced to curtail the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

“One fateful day during the lockdown, my husband hurriedly left the house without his phone. He usually locks his phone, but when I saw the phone and picked it, I noticed the stopwatch on the phone was running.

“When I picked it, I saw several notifications. On the notification drawer, I saw a WhatsApp message reading, “this your plan is taking too long”.

“When I tapped on the message, the last message I saw he sent was, “don’t worry, very soon, she would be out of the way and we can enjoy our lives together”,” she narrated to the marriage counsellor.

The woman went further to say that she noticed that other messages in her husband’s chat were deleted. Now, she is asking for advice.

Woman seeks justice for son blinded by cultists

A woman, Fausat Ayeni-Ibidokun has urged Lagos Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu to bring to justice persons who blinded her son, Sunday Olamilekan Ibidokun.

Ayeni-Ibidokun told newsmen that members of the Aiye cult attacked and blinded her son because he refused to join them.

She said the sad occurence happened in December 2016, during a street carnival which her son attended in celebration of the yuletide.

According to the woman, despite filing a complaint at Ketu Police Division, the police have not arrested the suspected cultists.

“My son went for the carnival in celebration of the yuletide and was attacked by members of that dreadful cult, and blinded.

“I reported the issue at Ketu police station. I kept going to the station to seek justice but was frustrated by an officer.

“Anytime I went to the station, I was told that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) was not on seat and that was how I left the matter to God,” she said.

According to the woman, her demand for justice now followed information she received recently that the alleged cult leader in Ketu was admitted and receiving treatment at General Hospital Gbagada.

“On hearing this information I rushed to the media to tell my story again and hopefully reopen the case for my son to get justice against the criminals who blinded him,” she said.

“I am appealing to the Commissioner of Police to please use his office to bring to book these criminals who have been wreaking havoc in Ketu axis in the past decade.”

Recounting his ordeal, Sunday said he and one of the cultists were neighbours, adding that they invited him to join them, but he turned them down.

“They decided to punish me and use me to set an example to others who refuse to join them,” he said.

“I was admitted at Bolakunmi Hospital, Ketu for two weeks when the unfortunate incident happened before I was referred to Ikorodu General Hospital, then LUTH and many other hospitals.

“I got tired of my parents spending money without any progress and I advised them to stop. I used to see before but now everything has gone dark.

“Sometimes when I remember when I used to have my sight it pains me a lot that some group of people just took it away from me.

“The challenges of getting things done as a blind person are enormous but I thank God for the gift of life and I remain hopeful that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

“I appeal to the Commissioner of Police to please help me bring these criminals to justice,” he said.

How I intentionally infected many men with HIV-Kenyan woman confesses

A Kenyan woman, Jackline Njoki Mwangi has stated that she knowingly intentionally infected men with HIV to punish them for not using protection.

Mwangi, also known as Kiki wa Ng’endo, was first diagnosed with HIV as a teenager after sleeping with men for money to take care of herself and her nephew. This was after her mother left her and her sister in the care of their aunt to go and work in the United States.

The 36-year-old, who made the astonishing revelation on Thursday September 17, in an interview with Kenya’s online news portal, TUKO, justified her action saying she picked the disease from an infected person who also did not care to warn her.

Mwangi said it was her sexual partners’ responsibilities to protect themselves and not hers.

“At the end of the day, I cannot be your keeper. You know you do not know me. I am not related to you yet you want to have sex with me, why don’t you wear a condom or take a test with me if I am comfortable and if I am not, ask me to wear a condom?” she said.

Kiki further said she decided to go public with her status because she wanted men to stop approaching her for sex after she developed complications in her private parts.

According to her, the condition has made her lose interest in sex after 18 years of selling her body to sexually hungry men for money.

Mwangi also warned men against sleeping with every woman they come across.

She blamed her woes on her mother who she claimed despised and mistreated her after she left the country to work in the US.

According to Kiki, her mother would send money to their aunt but she never took care of them and when their mother learned of her new escapades, she mistreated her till date.

She had to drop out of high school and when her uncle tried talking her into going back to school, that was when she tested positive for HIV.

“It was heartbreaking, I stayed without taking medication but was just pushing on with life. At some point I went upcountry and came back to Nairobi and that was when I attempted suicide,” she said.

A 74-year-old Armenian woman was stopped at Munich airport and human bones were found in her luggage, German federal police said on Tuesday.

Officials found the remains in a wooden box, and subsequently called on customs officers, a doctor and the public prosecutor to examine the strange case.

Together with her 52-year-old daughter, the woman wanted to fly the bones from her home in Greece to Armenia, via Munich and Kiev.
