  • Woman arrested for forcing teenager daughter into prostitution

A homeless Romanian woman has been arrested in Sicily for forcing her 13-year-old daughter into prostitution, in return for which she would obtain money, cigarettes, drinks, the use of a shower or a place to sleep.

In a statement, Italian police said they also apprehended four men who sexually abused the teenager, including a 90-year-old.

“They will all face rape charges as the age of consent in Italy is 14,’’ police said.

They said that the events took place in the south-eastern province of Ragusa, where the girl worked illegally in greenhouse plantations.

Officers discovered the alleged sex crimes while investigating cases of rural labour exploitation.

According to police, she used to have sex with fellow land workers from Italy, Romania or North Africa, either on the fields or in abandoned houses.

Otherwise, older men would abuse her in return for hospitality for her and her mother.

“Instead of protecting her daughter, the mother would exploit her receiving in return sums of money or other benefits such as wine, beer, cigarettes, the use of a shower or a home where to sleep,’’ police said.

  • Army van knocks down woman in Abia

There was pandemonium in Aba, the commercial nerve of Abia State as a hilux van belonging to the Nigerian Army allegedly knocked down a yet-to-be identified female pedestrian said to be apparently heading towards her home at Ogbor Hill part of the city.

The incident according to reports took place at the popular Waterside Bridge along Aba/Ikot-Ekpene Expressway on Friday evening.

Sources at the popular Aba abattoir located within the area stated that the incident happened at about 6PM when the soldiers were driving against traffic as there was gridlock that usually greet the Aba-Ikot Ekpene axis of the expressway especially in the evening, though they alleged that the heavy gridlock was because of the presence of a police team at the end of the bridge, conducting stop and search operation.

According to the sources, the soldiers immediately rushed out of their van to carry the victim into their vehicle to unknown destination.

The sources who could not ascertain whether the soldiers were responding to a distress call said that the woman’s chances of survival were slim because of the impact of the accident on her as she was said to be bleeding when she was taken off the scene by the soldiers.

A source who claimed to have witnessed the accident said that it could have been avoided if only the soldiers were not on a high speed even while they were driving against traffic.

According to the source, the over-speeding patrol van rammed into the woman while she was trying to cross over to the other side of the road.

This accident could have been avoided if the army van didn’t drive against traffic. They were not only driving against traffic, they were also over- speeding.

There was a heavy traffic at the bridge as usual every evening. The soldiers decided to ply one-way with heavy speed. I wonder why a good driver who is plying one-way on a double lane road will still be over- speeding?

I don’t know why soldiers are always in a hurry in the streets of Aba when their vehicles are moving. They always want all of us to disappear whenever they’re passing notwithstanding the circumstances. I don’t know if that woman will survive.”

Adding his voice, another eyewitness who simply gave his name as Lucky said, “Everyone shifted behind when they noticed it was an army van that hit the woman.

Aba people were getting agitated and the situation almost escalated, but most of us reasonably moved away from the scene as they carried the body into their van.

You know how they behave. If you try to ask questions or even make some moves that may even help them, they could tag you anything and waste your precious life.

May be they took her to hospital, but I expect them to reach her family as soon as possible and tell them what happened to her because it was an avoidable accident.”

A military who pleaded anonymous debunked the insinuations that the woman was dead, but stated that she was rushed to a private medical facility where she was promptly attended to.

Though the source could not ascertain whether the soldiers were responding to a distress call when probed on why the soldiers were driving against traffic as alleged, it disclosed that the woman who is a sister-in-law to a top officer in a sister security agency was moved to Port Harcourt, Rivers State Saturday morning on the directives of her brother-in-law.

Sad! Woman suffers stroke during oral sex

A certain woman suffered a stroke due to her impending orgasm while receiving oral sex from her partner.

The woman, a 44-year-old from west London, was receiving cunnilingus but just as she was about to orgasm, she passed out in the bedroom.

She was reportedly rushed to a hospital where doctors found a blood vessel had burst inside her skull.

Medics at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth, west London, said the patient was unconscious for three minutes after first suffering a headache during oral sex.

Her partner, whose gender was not exposed, said they noticed during sex that “her body was stiff”.

Doctors this week wrote in a British Medical Journal case report: “On closer history taking, the patient reported nearing orgasm while receiving oral sex from her partner before losing consciousness.

“Her partner estimated she was unconscious for two to three minutes, with no convulsive activity reported. She had otherwise been well preceding the event.”

Doctors initially thought she had suffered a seizure. They sent the woman for a CT scan and it revealed a “trace of acute subarachnoid blood” — a type of stroke that causes bleeding in the space around the brain. The patient’s bleed was caused by a small aneurysm, a bulge on a blood vessel like a balloon or bubble that bursts.

  • Woman dies hours after giving birth to five babies

Woman dies hours after giving birth to five babies

Emmanuel Ezunu, Head, Clinical Services and Training, Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Asaba, has confirmed the death of a housewife who died 15 hours after she was delivered of a set of quintuplet.

Mr Ezunu who made the confirmation to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Asaba, said Chukwunonso Onyejekwe, 29, died of complications after delivery.

According to him, the deceased suffered acute respiratory failure and died after a successful Cesarean Session (CS) delivery.

NAN gathered that late Mrs Onyejekwe was delivered of a set of five female babies.

Mr Ezumu said that the woman was brought into the hospital as an un-booked patient, and due to her emergency condition, she was taken straight to the theatre.

The woman in question was brought to the FMC, on the 28th of January 2019, un-booked; that is to say, she was not a registered patient here.

Also, when she came, we noticed that her blood pressure was so high and the condition put her in a high risk for a normal delivery.

So, we recommended a caesarean session for safe delivery and she was moved to the theatre for an emergency CS,” he said.

According to the medical officer, the woman never knew she was carrying a set of five babies.

He said late Mrs Onyejekwe told the hospital that the last scan she had revealed she was carrying a set of triplet.

Mr Ezunu said that doctors in the hospital successfully delivered the woman of a set of quintuplet at about 9 p.m. same day.

We delivered the woman of a set of quintuplet, but moments after the delivery she developed respiratory failure.

We had to rush her to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where doctors and nurses battled unsuccessfully to stabilise her deteriorating condition.

Unfortunately, the woman gave up at about noon the next day,” he narrated.

Also speaking, Oyefara Babatunde, the Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the hospital, corroborated Mr Ezunu’s position on the unfortunate incident.

Mr Babatunde, whose department handled the emergency delivery, disclosed that the babies were 31 weeks old upon delivery.

He said after the delivery the woman twice suffered cardiac arrest in a space of thirty minutes while at the ICU.

After delivery, the woman developed a respiratory problem known as Pulmonary Throb Embolism (PTE).

It is a complication that has to do with difficulty in breathing. We tried to stabilise her and while we were battling with that she fell into cardiac arrest.

We were able to resuscitate her but moments later she fell into a second cardiac arrest. The complications were multiple; they were also occasioned by her high-risk quintuplet pregnancy.

Pulmonary Throb Embolism is a condition of abnormal blood clot formed in the lower limbs and released massively into the lungs.

It is so unfortunate that the woman died because after the successful delivery of five babies, the whole hospital was jubilating.

But our joy and jubilation was turned into sadness and cries. It is really a sad incident.

However, the five babies are currently under intensive care at the hospital and I can inform you that they are doing fine, “he said. (NAN)

  • Police arrest clergy for raping woman after scaring her with death vision

Police arrest clergy for raping woman after scaring her with death vision

An Islamic cleric, Mustapha Hammed, has been arrested by police in Lagos for allegedly raping a 29-year-old student (names withheld).

It was gathered that the incident occurred on April 7 after the Alfa told the victim, a virgin, that he saw a vision she would die within 24 hours unless a cleansing was done to avert it.

Hammed, who was paraded by the state Police Commissioner, Imohimi Edgal, on Monday, after the victim’s father reported the case on July 12, lured the woman from Bariga to Ikorodu for spiritual cleansing where he raped her and allegedly used a white handkerchief to clean her blood.

Edgal said the victim’s father had filed a complaint at the Bariga Police Station after she exhibited traits of mental disorder following the incident.

He said: “The suspect in the case is one Mustapha Hammed who claims to be an Alfa. The said Alfa was introduced to the victim through a mutual friend.

“The Alfa deceived the 29-year-old student saying he saw in a vision that she was going to die within 24 hours. He took the girl to Ikorodu, Lagos, for cleansing so that she would not die.

“At Ikorodu, he forcefully had canal knowledge of the girl said to be a virgin at the time. He thereafter allegedly wiped off her blood with a white handkerchief and since then, her father alleged that the girl has been behaving abnormally because she was completely devastated and traumatised by the incident.”

Admitting to the crime, Hammed said he had been in love with the lady but did not know how to tell her.

He said the vision, spiritual and sexual cleansing, were strategies to get in between her legs.

Hammed said: “It all happened on April 7, when I called Rukayat, a friend to my lover, to come to my mum’s house in Bariga. I told her I had seen a vision for her while I was praying that she had a spiritual husband.

“I told her the solution is to bath three times with a soap I will give her. I told her I would take her to my house in Ikorodu for the bath and she agreed.

“We went there and she went to bath the first time and while I was praying for the water to do the second bathing, I quickly put a dead frog in the water. When she got to the bathroom and saw the frog, she was afraid and ran out to inform me.

“This I said was a bad omen, that the only solution is to immediately do some prayers and then do a sexual cleansing which entails having sexual intercourse with a man.

“She was scared and said she would do all it takes to be free. So, I asked her to call her boyfriend. She said her boyfriend was far away, she pleaded I help her.

“She did not know that I had put the frog because I have been looking for a way to tell her I love her and have a sexual relationship with her. So I deflowered her. I did not wipe her private part with any white handkerchief.”

Edgal said investigation into the case was ongoing, adding that the suspect would be charged to court soon.

  • Woman swept away by wave found unconscious after one year

Woman swept away by wave found unconscious after one year

An Indonesian woman declared missing more than one year ago after being swept away by a large wave has been found.

She was found on the same beach that she disappeared from and wearing exactly the same clothes she had on when the unfortunate incident happened.

According to odditycentral.com, 52-year-old Nining Sunarsih was on vacation in Sukabumi, West Java, when she was swept away by a strong wave on Citepus Beach.

She was thereafter carried out to sea by strong currents.

At the time, eyewitnesses said they heard the woman screaming and waving her hands for help but they were too scared to go in to help. Search and rescue operations didn’t find any sign of her until a week after the tragic disappearance when a dead body was discovered in the area. They asked Nining’s family to come and identify the body, and even though it was reportedly in very bad condition, her relatives were convinced that it wasn’t her, because it lacked a distinctive birthmark on the abdomen, and the fingernails looked very different.

With no other leads to follow, authorities ordered a DNA test on the found body to confirm whether it was the missing woman or not. They compared the DNA of the body to that of the woman’s son, Wanda, and found that they didn’t match.

Still, with search operations yielding no results and the chances of Sunarsih actually being alive after several days lost at sea, authorities called off the effort and pronounced her dead.

The woman’s family never accepted the idea that she might be dead, and believed that she was still alive. A few days ago, the 52-year-old’s uncle allegedly had a dream about her in which she told him to look for her on a beach, close to the place where she had disappeared from over one year ago. He didn’t pay much attention to the dream at first but after allegedly having the same dream multiple times; he finally told the family about it and decided to go look for her.

Sunarsih’s family started searching for her on June 30, 2018 but couldn’t find any trace of her on the beach she mentioned in her uncle’s dream. However, they kept searching through the night, and on Sunday morning, at around 4:00am, they found her unconscious, all covered in sand.

The family, according to reports, took the woman home and cleaned her up, but because she didn’t seem very healthy, they took her to the hospital. She is said to be recovering at the hospital even though many have questioned the authenticity of this story.

  • Woman born without vagina gets one from fish skin

A woman, Jucilene Marinho, born without the female genitals has become the first in the world to undergo reconstructive surgery to have one built out of fish skin.

Marinho, 23, from Ceará, Brazil, underwent a neovaginoplasty in April last year after being born with Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hause (MRKH), which left her with no cervix, uterus or ovaries.

The procedure, performed at the Federal University of Ceara, Brazil, involved creating an opening where Ms Marinho’s vagina should have been before inserting a genital-shaped mould lined with the skin of the freshwater fish tilapia, reports Daily Mail.

The fish skin was then absorbed into her body and transformed into tissue that lines the vaginal tract.

After spending three weeks in the hospital, Ms Marinho was discharged and is thrilled with the results.

She said: “My family and friends took me out to ‘toast’ my new vagina!”

Ms Marinho, who spiralled into a deep depression when she thought she would never have an intimate relationship, has even been able to have sex for the first time with her boyfriend of over a year, Marcus Santos, 24.

She added: “It was a wonderful moment because everything worked perfectly. There was no pain; just a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction.”

Despite being born with MRKH, Ms Marinho was not diagnosed until she was 15 years old. She had a normal puberty and even experienced menstrual cramps despite never having a period.

Speaking of her diagnosis, Ms Marinho said: “I cried a lot when I found out. I thought my world had ended.

“I’d always dreamed of having a baby of my own; now I had to accept that wouldn’t be possible.”

After having the operation, Ms Marinho experienced minor internal bleeding but was told she could have sex at the end of last year.

She said: “At first, I was very scared to do it because I thought it would hurt and I was worried it might damage the opening.

‘I didn’t feel any discomfort and there was no bleeding.

‘Everything felt sensitive in what I’m told is the right and normal way. It was perfectly natural like the opening had always been there.

“It felt so good to have something the majority of women take for granted.”
