    I will win If I run for President- Yul Edochie

    Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie is not about to douse the fire of his political ambition.

    The actor who contested in the November 2017 Anambra governorship election on the platform of the Democratic Peoples Congress (DPC) has revealed that he might run for president of Nigeria in 2019.

     

    In a video shared on his Instagram page, the passionate politician said: “So, it’s my birthday today, 7th of January, 2018. I just turned 36, so happy birthday to me.2018 is just unfolding, we pray for more blessings so let’s just keep our fingers crossed. Who knows, I may just decide to run for president of Nigeria this time, in 2019, and I will win.”

    Recall that Edochie secured 145 votes in the election. He is hopeful about his victory if he decides to run for the highest office in the Nigeria come 2019.

  • Yul Edochie defects to APGA

    Nollywood actor and former governorship candidate Yul Edochie has officially defected to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

    This comes after the actor lost the 2017 gubernatorial elections in Anambra state, to Governor Willie Obiano of APGA.

    Yul Edochie took to his Instagram page to announce his defection to the political party after the Governor introduced him among the new members of the party on Thursday.

    for running the race till the end and for being a worthy ambassador to Anambra/Nigerian youths.

    Yul Edochie emerges DPC gubernatorial candidate

    Nollywood actor , Yul Edochie has been declared winner of the Democratic People’s Congress (DPC) primary election ahead of the Anambra governorship poll. The bubbly actor is presently the party’s flag bearer for the forthcoming November 18 governorship election.

     

    Excited Edochie took to his Instagram page to share the good news. He said:” And I won the party primaries today to become the flag bearer of the DPC. Democratic Peoples Congress.

     

    “I give God almighty all the glory. I thank everyone who made it possible. And to all who have placed their hopes and trust in me, I will not let you down.

     

    “It’s time for the youths, time for the masses. We are taking the government house of Anambra state come November 2017.

     

    “We will run a government that will put the welfare of the masses first. Our victory is the people’s victory.”

     

    Days back, the actor had stated reasons why he wants to be the next governor of Anambra State. Edochie wil contest against incumbent governor,Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Oseloka Obaze of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Tony Nwoye, flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

    Nollywood actor and Anambra State governorship aspirant, Yul Edochie has scaled the high hurdle of securing party nomination. The enthusiastic actor took to his Instagram to reveal that he has secured nomination to run for Governor of Anambra under the banner of the Democratic People’s Congress (DPC).

     

    The gubernatorial aspirant reiterated his need for support and vowed to wipe away the sorrows of the masses.

    According to him:” I cannot thank God enough. Join me in thanking Jehovah Almighty as I picked my nomination form yesterday in Abuja to run for Governor of Anambra State 2017, under the platform of the DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE’S CONGRESS. DPC. I cannot do it alone. I need the support of every well-meaning Nigerian who is tired of the old ways.

    The next hurdle the amiable actor will have to scale will be to secure the votes of the electorate.

    It is no longer news that Nollywood actor,Yul Edochie will be running for the imminent Anambra governorship election. Edochie stated that the need to fix the problems of the “suffering” populace is his driving force.

     

    “I don’t understand why my people are suffering. Governance should be about giving the people the best and anything short of this is a failed project.It breaks my heart and these people don’t care. People are suffering. I want to fix the problems of the people. I want to give them the good life they deserve” he said on his Instagram page.

     

    Though the actor is yet to divulge the party he intends to contest on, the Anambra gubernatorial election is scheduled for November 18.

  • Pete Edochie’s son to contest in Anambra Governorship election

    One of Pete Edochie’s sons, Yul, has declared his intention to run for Governor of Anambra State later this year. The baritone voiced Yul took to his Instagram page to reveal his intention. He, however, failed to disclose the political party he intends to use as a platform. He also stated that Anambra, “needs a new brand of leaders, who will put the masses first.”

     

    Hear him: “My name is Yul Edochie. And I’m running for Governor of Anambra State. 2017 #TheLastbusStop

     

    “We need a new brand of Leaders who will put the masses first, the older ones have failed us…They have come to the THE LAST BUS STOP!!!”

     

    If Yul wins, he will be the first democratically elected governor in Nigeria who is affiliated with Nollywood. Just like Desmond Elliot who is currently representing Surulere 1 constituency at the Lagos state house of assembly, Yul Edochie may just be on his way to becoming a governor.

    Nollywood star actor, Yul Edochie has expressed his views on the prevalent spate of domestic violence in Nigeria. Recall that his colleagues,Tonto Dikeh and Mercy Aigbe openly professed that they had been victims of domestic violence by their estranged husbands.

    He said ,men should never have the cause to get violent, while women on the other hand should respect their man even when he doesn’t know what he is doing.

    Handsome Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie took to his Instagram page to share an experience he had recently. He walked into a restaurant and immediately he sat down , a guy started saying some nasty things about Nollywood.

    According to him:”I walked into a restaurant few days ago and after a while, I noticed some guy behind me was saying some nasty things about Nollywood. Things like:“Yeye industry, rubbish actors, if na only me, hunger go kill them, I only watch oyinbo films”

    The dude was expecting him to react, instead Yul ignored him.

    “I ignored him, his voice got very loud, yet I ignored him completely.When I was about leaving he said to me:”Aah! Yul na wa oh. All these things I dey talk you just dey look me like say you no hear am. You no wan reply me”

    He further shared the moral of the story saying people will utter unnecessary things in order to get one’s attention, the best thing to do will be to ignore such individuals.

    “People say a lot of crap just to get your attention.You musn’t respond. They need your response to make them relevant. IGNORE”
