    Nigerian singer Iyanya has revealed that he endorsed his estranged Ghanaian girlfriend, actress Yvonne Nelson’s controversial memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ without knowing she wrote negative things about him in the book.

    It would be recalled  that the Ghanaian diva, in a chapter titled, “Iyanya And My Love Life”, spoke about her escapades with Iyanya and how she later found out he was cheating on her with Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh.

    While granting an interview on a Lagos based radio station, The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Iyanya said he endorsed the book without knowing the content.

    The singer, who had promised to address Nelson’s allegations last year when the book came out, stated that he is still not ready to respond to his ex-girlfriend’s infidelity allegations.

    He noted that they are still in good terms and communicate regularly.

    He said, “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.

    “I know I promise to address the allegations she made in her book, but I’m not ready to respond. I’m not going to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness.”

    Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, popularly known as Iyanya, has revealed that he almost lost his current relationship as a result of the cheating allegation levelled against him by his estranged girlfriend, Yvonne Nelson.

    Recall that the Ghanaian actress accused Iyanya of cheating on her with another actress Tonto Dikeh whilst they were dating.

    The ‘Kukere’ crooner disclosed this while appearing in the latest episode of Tea With Tay podcast hosted by actor, Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, aka Taymesan.

    Recall that Yvonne Nelson in her memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ launched on June 18, 2023, narrated how she found out her ex-boyfriend, Iyanya, was cheating on her with Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh.

    Iyanya said after the book was released, someone he was asking out became skeptical about dating him.

    He said, “That stuff [Yvonne Nelson’s allegations] is crazy, bro. That stuff almost made me lose a relationship. A current relationship.

    “Before this book [Yvonne Nelson’s memoir], I was talking to one innocent girl who is not famous but immediately that book came out, everything became shaky. The girl was feeling like, ‘Omo, this guy, have you changed? Are you sure you won’t do me the same?’”

    Nigerian singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, simply known on stage as  Iyanya, has explained why he didn’t address Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson’s cheating allegations in her recently published book.

    TheNewsGuru.com reports that the actress claimed in the book that Iyanya cheated on her with Tonto Dikeh while they were dating.

    The ‘Kukere’ crooner said he would be criticized by many should he tell his own side of the story.

    He, however, said regardless of the backlash his reply would earn, he is still going to tell his side of the story soon.

    Taking to his Twitter handle on Wednesday, the singer wrote, “Y’all waiting for my side of the story? If I talk now, I’ll be accused of kissing and telling, sluts shaming, etc.

    But something gat to give, so wait for it.”

    Iyanya’s tweet is coming hours after Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie released a new song titled, ‘Try Me’ to address Yvonne Nelson’s claims that he drove her to the clinic to abort the baby after impregnating her in 2010.

    In the song, the rapper debunked the allegations, insisting that he kicked against Yvonne Nelson’s decision to abort the pregnancy but she said she can’t keep it because she was in school.

    Sarkodie admitted that he wasn’t ready to be a father then, but added that he asked the actress to keep the pregnancy.

    Recall that the thespian in her recently published book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, narrated how she aborted her first pregnancy because she is fatherless and did not expect to give birth to a child whose father had refused to accept responsibility.

    In a chapter titled ‘A Difficult Decision’, she said Sarkodie “said no to keeping the pregnancy.”

    But reacting in his latest single, ‘Try Me [Raw]’ released on Wednesday, Sarkodie claimed he asked Yvonne Nelson to keep the pregnancy even though he wasn’t ready to be the father.

    “Yes, I wasn’t ready but then I told you to keep it. So don’t make it seem like I was pushing you for abortion,” he raps in the first verse of the song.

    He said Yvonne Nelson’s book was not so great but got patronage because of the negative things she wrote.

    However, Yvonne immediately took to his Twitter to react to Sarkodie’s response.

    She wrote on Twitter, “In my book, I narrated how you got me pregnant, How you couldn’t wait for me to get rid of it. How you DROVE me to have an abortion.

    “As usual, you want to use rap to rubbish a pain a young woman felt. We both have daughters, let’s see what life throws at them. #triedyou.”

    Recall that the thespian in her recently published book, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’, narrated how she aborted her first pregnancy because the baby was going to be fatherless if she decided to keep it.

    According to her, the man who was responsible for the pregnancy refused to accept it.

    Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson revealed how she found out that her Nigerian ex-boyfriend, singer Iyanya cheated on her with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh.

    The beautiful Ghanaian actress made this revelation known in her newly released memoir, ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson’ launched on Sunday, June 18, 2023.

    In a chapter titled “Iyanya and My Love Life”, the actress spoke about her escapades with Iyanya and how she later found out he was cheating on her.

    Nelson explained that Iyanya had tattooed her name on his waist and she felt that singing about her too in one of his songs was an assurance they would live happily ever after.

    She said she was shocked when someone called her from Iyanya’s house after she returned to Ghana and broke the shocking news to her.

    “The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress come over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that there was something going on between them and thought I should know. That actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria and one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his “Ur Waist” song. When I was convinced about the authenticity of the information I received, I was heartbroken,” the book partly reads.

    She, however, said she knew she would have eventually left the relationship even if Tonto Dikeh hadn’t come into the picture, adding that she didn’t see any reason to keep fighting for a man she had lost.

    Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has narrated how she aborted a pregnancy for Michael Owusu Addo, a renowned Ghanaian musician who is better known as Sarkodie

    Nelson in a book titled: “I am not Yvonne Nelson” is a new book launched by the Ghanaian actress to share her success story.

    The actress has shared her sorrows and joy, failures and wins, mistakes and lessons and everything that she has encountered whilst chasing her dream.

    In the book, she revealed that Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie impregnated her in 2010 but she refused to take responsibility of the pregnancy.

    According to Nelson, she had to abort the pregnancy because Sarkodie told her he was not in a position to be able to take care of a child; he was an upcoming artist who was struggling.

    The actress noted that Sarkodie abandoned her to her fate after the abortion. She went through intense pain and the man who put her in that situation didn’t even bother to call and check on her.

    She wrote, “I had gone for a pregnancy test to confirm what becomes the most obvious conclusion for a sexually active young woman who misses her monthly flow. I was in the company of Karen.

    “And when the test result was ready, I wasn’t strong enough to open it. She did and declared the verdict. ‘Charlie, it dey there!,” she exclaimed.

    “On an ordinary day, I would have laughed out loud and that would trigger a string of jolly conversations and jokes. But this was no laughing matter. It was a grim piece of information that was capable of turning my world upside down.

    “I wasn’t the only one responsible for the situation, so I called the man whose potent seed had germinated in me. His name is Michael Owusu Addo, a renowned Ghanaian musician who is better known as Sarkodie”

    On her relationship with the rapper, Yvonne added, “I wouldn’t call what had developed between us a serious relationship. I gravitated toward people in the music industry.”

    In the book, Yvonne narrated how she had attempted to abort the pregnancy by taking concoctions from a colleague but the substance could not work as a test carried out revealed she was still pregnant.

    The actress further recalled finally succeeding in aborting the pregnancy but said it is one of the most regrettable mistakes in her life.

    She added that if the clock of life could be rewound to her younger self, she would have kept it.

    TheNewsGuru.com reports that the Mavins Record star singer, Iyanya, has said that he is yet to get over his ex-girlfriend and actress, Yvonne Nelson, after their much-publicized break-up in 2012.

    Iyanya had pointed out that his break up with the actress was to enable him to concentrate on his music career.

     

    According to the Nigerian actor, if Iyanya wants to smell Grammy or win an award from the recording academy, he first needs to apologize to Yvonne Nelson because a single prayer from her will make it easy for him to win an award Grammy.

     

    However, Yvonne Nelson, in an interview, asserted that Iyanya could not go scot-free for toying with her emotion.

    In her words: “We dated for seven to eight months. We had something and I thought it was special like he was a wonderful guy but it was all lies. He had other girls and other things he was doing.

     

    “Aside from the actress that was in the picture, there were a lot more. That is how bad it is. There was a girl from South Africa. I’m not going to mention names but she was part of Big Brother Africa last year.

    “We were in a relationship and he lied throughout and he was able to do all those things because I wasn’t living in Nigeria. But aside from the distance, I feel if you are a genuine person and you are loyal, you would still not do that.

    .

    ”But if you go through my Instagram page, you would see a couple of pictures of us together. I wasn’t shy about anything but he could not say he’s dating Yvonne Nelson because he had different people he was seeing. So, it was very hard for him to bring it out.”

    The Ghanaian actress pointed out that she has learned a big lesson from her short-lived romance with Iyanya.

     

    “There are some things that you don’t get to learn in school; people can advise you, but you won’t even listen. You just have to experience it to learn. I have no regrets that I went through it. It would have happened anyway. We are all human beings. We fall in love once in a while but if it doesn’t work out, that’s ok,” she said.

     

    Describing Iyanya, she said the Mavins Record star singer is a ‘total package’.

     

    Adding: “You can’t really explain when you love somebody. It’s everything. It was just something that I felt and I can’t explain. It was love. I really loved him and he knows that.”

    Finding love in Ghana is difficult – Actress, Yvonne Nelson

    Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has revealed how difficult it is to find love in her country.

    Speaking in an interview with Kingdom + FM in Accra, Nelson disclosed that she has been unlucky in romantic relationships with Ghanaian men.

    She added that she had several men she genuinely liked, but they didn’t think she liked them, hence their relationship failed.

    Nelson said; “Finding love in this country is quite difficult. Ghanaian men don’t love me, I’ve met a couple of people that I liked they didn’t even believe that I liked them.”

    The mother of one also said that she hasn’t had any intercourse in the last two years because she knows how to restrain herself.

    “After a year I went straight without it. I can control myself when it comes to that. I don’t have a love interest even though I wish I did,” she revealed.

    After the host of the show, Fiifi Pratt, pushed her to clarify the assertions, she said “if Ghanaians are not interested in me what else do you expect.”
