  • I regret not being serious with my education – Yvonne Nelson

    Renowned Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has expressed regretted for not being serious with her education.
    The Mother of one narrated how she had little time for her books after getting a spot in the entertainment industry in a recent interview.
    She further explained the challenges she faced in making out time to re-sit for some papers, after she failed her Senior High School (SHS) examination.
    “I had to rewrite some papers. I was so much into entertainment that I didn’t take my schooling serious.
    “You can easily mess up and not make it to university. I regret not paying attention to my books.
    “When I see kids of today, I tell them to pay attention to their books,” she said.
    Nelson also stressed the need to climb on to the educational ladder, regardless of career path.
    “I was in Central University. And it wasn’t easy mixing sets with classes. I had to make up my mind. It was tough.
    “Nigerian producers were giving me juicy offers and I was torn between accepting the offers or not.
    “But, I had to focus on school and I was so happy to have graduated, I didn’t want to defer,” she added
    She urged the young ones (teenagers) to take their education seriously because that was the only legacy their parents could give to them.
    Nelson, a Ghanaian actress, model, film producer and entrepreneur.
    Nelson also disclosed that she was going to start the production of the fourth season of her series `Heels and Sneakers’.
    The series which began showing in 2016 is on its third season on Africa Magic and Rok3 TV.
    She has starred in several movies, including House of Gold (2013), Any Other Monday, In April and Swings.

    Sensational Ghanaian actress and mother of one, Yvonne Nelson has stated that she will sue anyone who talks ill of her daughter.

    Nelson said though she has gotten used to bad things being written about her, she won’t tolerate anyone who does that do her daughter.

    She puts it this way: “People wish bad for me and that is what I don’t understand. People are so interested in the negative stuff I am used to the stories but my worry is why they are interested in the negativity.

    “You know people are wicked. Even if they hear the good things, they don’t want to believe it, they won’t write about the good things. As I have given birth, I have realized that people want to direct their issues to the child, who hasn’t done anything to them. I am used to that but sometimes it gets too much”, Yvonne Nelson said.

    Speaking further the award winning role interpreter said: “She hasn’t done anything to anyone, she is an innocent child. So, as for that one, if you say anything bad, I can get offended but with me, I understand because of my work it comes with the job.

    “But now, I if the child issue comes in, I will let my lawyer call you. If you know someone who used to talk about me and the person has stopped, it means my lawyer has called that person. I will make sure that I sue. And so if you don’t fear to sue, go ahead and peddle falsehood one day, you will fall into the trap”.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Nelson formerly dated Nigerian music star, Iyanya. They had a well-publicised split that left Nelson inconsolable but Iyanya has since apologised for everything he put her through and they have both moved on.

    Ghollywood actress and model, Yvonne Nelson who once dated Nigerian singer, Iyanya has declared that she can never act nude in a movie.

    Nelson noted that even If she is offered $5millon she won’t still accept the lucrative offer.

    She made this known in an interview with Asempa FM where she further disclosed that she disagrees with people who think money is everything in life.

     

    “Oh no I won’t. This time it is even crazier because I have a child. I will never act nude because I want to serve a good example. The money is cool but no. The act is going to be there forever and I wouldn’t want to do that,” she said.

    A post Yvonne shared on her Instagram page shows a section of the aircraft covered in smoke. Emergency officials are captured at the scene as they attempted to prevent a large scale disaster.
     
    A report by CBS New York also confirms the incident. The landing gear of the plane enroute to Ghana reportedly caught fire according to a CBS reporter.
    Take-off was aborted due to other issues undisclosed.205 passengers on-board the aircraft were removed following the incident.

    Popular svelte Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson has been bashed intensely on social media over having a baby outside wedlock. The talented role interpreter that has hitherto hidden the identity of her baby, finally revealed her face via her interview with Agoo Magazine.

    When asked about what she feels about the criticisms, she said: “People have been saying all sorts about why I’m having a baby whilst I’m not married. This is an answered prayer for me, they have no idea. Maybe one day they’ll get to hear my story.”

    Yvonne’s followers who have been craving to catch a glimpse of her baby girl were excited when she finally shared her picture on social media.

    Recall that a certain Ghanaian Pastor,George Carstensen Lutterodt, slammed Nelson following the birth of her baby girl. He said, Nelson gave birth to a stupid child.

     

    According to him: “Yvonne Nelson doubted the pregnancy because she knows the guilt that comes out with this .She knows the process to pregnancy is after marriage. And if she has given birth unmarried, then I am very disappointed in her.Yvonne Nelson has disgraced me by going to have a child out of Wedlock.What she has done is disgusting.     Ghanaian actress and model, Yvonne Nelson stunned many of her fans when news of her child birth surfaced online. Before then, there have been speculations that the gifted actress was pregnant, but she neither denied nor confirmed it

     

    However in a recent chat with BBC, Yvonne Nelson said she doesn’t have regrets having a child outside wedlock.

     

    According to her: “I believe it’s the right thing to do. To get married, have kids, raise a family is ideal but I believe society puts a lot of pressure on women, young women in Africa especially.”

     

    When asked how she felt when people condemned her after welcoming her daughter, Yvonne said:”I am a very positive person. I don’t let all the negativity and all the bad talks get to me. I was staying positive. I had loved ones around me plus I had this beautiful blessing in my arms. It was all joy for me. I wasn’t listening to all the negativity outside at all. It didn’t really affect me at all”

    Svelte Ghanaian actress and filmmaker, Yvonne Nelson has decried the state of Ghana’s movie industry. The popular Ghanaian actress took to Twitter to condemn the amount of time Ghanaian actors spend on fashion and ‘Slaying’ on the red carpets.

    Nelson noted that the same time and energy can be used to grow the movie industry.

    This is coming after the Golden Movie Awards that took place at the Movenpick Hotel, Accra with so many fashionable actors and actresses on the red carpet.

    Svelte Ghanaian actress and filmmaker, Yvonne Nelson is purportedly pregnant. According to reports reaching TheNewsGuru, the 31-year-old actress is carrying her first child with an unidentified man.

    Iyanya’s ex-girlfriend was speculated to have had a secret wedding. However, she is yet to show off her new man in social media.

    Nelson in an interview had stated earlier that, she will get married this year.
