  • “Naira Marley is wasting Zinoleesky and Mohbad’s talent”- OGB cries out

“Naira Marley is wasting Zinoleesky and Mohbad’s talent”- OGB cries out

Fast-rising comedian and skit-maker, Michael Charles, popularly known as OGB, has faulted Marlian Music in the management of music talents, stressing that the record label is wasting two Nigerian top artistes, Zinoleesky and Mohbad.

According to OGB, Zinoleesky and Mohbad’s talents are being wasted by the record label as they are too big.

He accused Marlian Music of not fully showcasing two of the top artistes under its management.

OGB slammed popular singer, Naira Marley and his record label (Marlian Music).

The content creator further surged Olamide to sign both artistes to his label, YBNL Nation.

He took to his Twitter account to call out the management amid allegations by Mohbad that Naira Marley and his boys attacked him.

OGB Recent tweeted; ”Marlian record is wasting the talent of Zinoleesky and Mohbad. Zinoleesky and mohbad’s talent is way too big for this Marlian record. Make Olamide Baddo just collect them.”

Recall that earlier Mohbad landed in the hospital after allegedly being assaulted by a group of young men loyal to his boss, Naira Marley.

He accused Naira Marley of unleashing his boys to deal with him simply because he requested a change of manager.

According to Mohbad, his manager is the brother to the Marlian Music founder and that was why he opposed the decision.

The artiste shared some videos which showed the injuries he sustained on different parts of the body as a result of the assault.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that “Ko Por Ke” hitmaker claimed that while they were beating him, Naira Marley was watching without stopping them.

He said they had to run a CT scan on him at the hospital because of internal injuries.

The artiste took to his Twitter page and cried out for help, saying that he is sober and not intoxicated so nobody should believe any statement released from the label that he was high while making the allegation.

In a series of tweets, Mohbad wrote; ”Just because I want to change my manager which is their brother, see what they did to me at Marlian House. I’m not high oo cos that what Dey always say just to die down everything. World pls help me oo. I’m dying inside. I’m at the hospital for a CT Scan for head impact and chest X-ray as a result of the assault.

I had the meeting clearheaded and without any drug influence too. Everything he said on the live video is a blatant lie. This isn’t the first time. The last video was made out to look like I was high or overreacting. My life is being severely threatened.”

  • How fatherhood changed me – Naira Marley

Popular and controversial singer, Naira Marley has opened up on how fatherhood and money completely changed him.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Naira Marley made the disclosure during an interview with Cool FM.

He discussed a number of other issues, including how he deals with comparisons and how he deals with being a record label owner.

“For some reason, the money has probably changed me small. I can’t be bothered with certain stuff but I can’t really change deep down.

“But in the public eye, I’ve changed some things cuz I can’t be bothered you know what I mean? I’m too blessed. I try not to make trouble. I don’t even make trouble but I’ll still reply to trouble if trouble comes my way.

“People expect me to still be rugged and still be doing the same live and talking all that. I have a lot of people looking up to me now. I have my own artistes you know, I can’t embarrass them. I have my kids.

“And apart from that, I’m so blessed. In the space of that many years, I’ve done so many things for myself. Like I’m so blessed. I’m just not good at showing off but I’m so blessed. So that obviously changed my movement,” he said.

Speaking on dealing with comparisons and how he manages being a record label owner, Naira Marley said: “Comparison is one thing in Africa, in Nigeria.

“Comparison, they’re always going to compare. They have to. I don’t have a problem (with it), I just think they need to work on themselves. Cuz the people you’re comparing, their whole family is proud of them. They do it, that’s life.

“If you buy a car, they’re going to compare your car to someone else’s. In music, in the industry, no matter what you do, they’re going to find a rival for you. They’re going to find a competition for you. No matter what you do.

“It’s up to you, how you wanna deal with it. They’re going to create hate, this is what they do. Compare.

“My uniqueness (in being a record label boss) is just to be real. I’m just so 100% real with my artistes, they see everything. I let them basically have all the freedom they have and let them be themselves and still decide.

“We created a friendship. We’re very close. Sometimes, we even forget I’m their boss. We have a good relationship. My own thing is I’m just a 100 percent real with them. I also try not to let it be too much label push and influencer push.

“I decided to make it concrete cuz it has to be organic, from the streets, you know. Like Zino (i.e. Zinoleesky) has concrete fanbase you know!”
