In a bid to empower employees to boost productivity and working relations in their places of work, computer giant, HP has announced significant updates through its Workforce Solutions division (HPWS), focused on helping organizations enhance employee experiences and drive growth.
These advancements are designed to provide more personalized, efficient, and fulfilling workplace solutions.
A key highlight is the expansion of access to the HP Workforce Experience Platform, which offers IT managers enhanced tools, data, and insights to ensure employees remain connected and productive. Additionally, HP is rolling out advanced monitoring and management solutions to proactively resolve issues before they affect employees. This includes an innovative new service that accelerates employee recovery when technology fails. HP is also introducing AI-powered services aimed at increasing workforce productivity and expanding refurbishment programs to support a more sustainable economy.
“We are navigating a critical juncture, where AI and flexible work are reshaping our lives in significant ways,” said Dave Shull, President of HP Workforce Solutions. “At the same time, employees seek greater fulfillment, and companies want to boost productivity. Our Future-Ready portfolio of software and solutions equips businesses to successfully navigate this shift.”
Maximizing Employee Productivity and Engagement
HP Workforce Experience Platform: Expanded Access and New Features The HP Workforce Experience Platform, designed to intelligently anticipate and resolve digital issues across employee devices, has been in a private beta for the past three months, with over 270,000 devices enrolled. Now, HP is expanding beta access to new or renewing HP Proactive Insights customers in the U.S. at no additional cost.
The latest release includes new features for monitoring and managing both printers and PCs at scale. Enhanced AI-powered fleet management and employee sentiment analysis aim to reduce IT support tickets and minimize downtime through smart recommendations. Additionally, the platform integrates with popular tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, and Tableau, with plans to support Microsoft Intune and ServiceNow in the future. This will enable IT teams to seamlessly leverage Workforce Experience Platform data within their existing workflows, providing a more complete view of device fleets and boosting overall return on investment.
New Global Command Centers for Advanced Monitoring HP is introducing advanced Monitoring and Management capabilities, supported by new global command centers. These services enable proactive management of HP and non-HP devices worldwide, allowing customers to monitor equipment, detect issues, and remotely resolve incidents before they impact employees. This proactive approach, utilizing telemetry data, is now available globally for customers of HP’s managed solutions.
Industry-Leading Remote Diagnostics and Remediation As 90% of employees now prefer flexible or hybrid work models, ensuring consistent remote support has become a critical challenge. To address this, HP is introducing the industry’s most advanced out-of-band remediation service, enabling more PC issues to be resolved remotely, even when a PC won’t boot. By securely connecting to remote PCs below the operating system level, HP support agents can resolve complex issues like boot failures and BIOS problems without needing user assistance. This breakthrough service will be available in North America and the EU later this year, with plans to expand across other markets.
New AI Advisory Services to Maximize Microsoft Copilot Potential HP is also launching a new AI advisory service to help organizations unlock the full potential of Microsoft 365 Copilot. This service evaluates companies’ readiness for AI, conducts interactive workshops, and supports the rollout of new AI tools. The AI advisory service will be available in November 2024 in key markets, including the U.S., UK, France, Spain, Ireland, and Germany.
Enhancing Collaborative Workspaces
Managed Collaboration Services Now Available Globally As video collaboration becomes an essential component of modern workspaces, HP has expanded the availability of its Managed Collaboration Services globally. Using HP and Poly equipment, these services ensure that every meeting space is video-enabled and ready for use, offering reliable, flexible, and managed room solutions.
Fostering Social Impact Through Sustainable Technology
Expanding the HP Certified Refurbished Hardware Portfolio Responding to growing demand for high-quality refurbished devices, HP is expanding its Certified Refurbished hardware offerings. The portfolio now includes LaserJet Multi-Function Printers for Managed Print Solutions customers in the U.S., as well as HP EliteBook 800 G6 and G7 series notebooks available in the U.S. and France. Each device undergoes rigorous refurbishment, ensuring it meets HP’s high standards.
HOPE Recycling Futures: Giving Technology a Second Life HP’s HOPE Recycling Futures program continues to make a significant impact by giving refurbished technology to underserved schools. The program collects devices from businesses, securely erases data, and refurbishes them before distributing the devices to schools in need, particularly those serving vulnerable youth. Now expanding to Mexico, HOPE Recycling Futures has already benefited over 16,000 children in 22 countries, reducing e-waste while promoting digital equity.
Businesses participating in the program play a vital role in creating a more sustainable world while empowering the next generation to succeed in the digital age.
