The management of 9mobile has appealed the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) for concessions in order to guarantee the continued existence of the newly transformed firm.
TheNewsGuru reports the management of 9mobile, for the first time after the metamorphosis of the firm, met with the telecoms regulator on Monday in Abuja, and we promised to bring updates from the meeting.
As part of discussions during the meeting, the 9mobile team asked the Commission for concessions, especially in the area of spectrum assignment, revisit of data floor price, review of interconnect rates to asymmetric platform, concessional foreign exchange access, national roaming, and others.
This is “in order for 9mobile to shore up its revenue and meet its financial obligations accordingly,” the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 9mobile, Mr. Boye Olusanya said.
Given the plea of the 9mobile team, Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) and CEO of the NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta assured of his Commission cooperation to grow the pupa telecoms firm.
