Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has lamented over the deplorable state of federal roads in the state, stressing that the federal government doesn’t care about Nigeria.
Obaseki made the observation during a visit to Benin-Ekpoma-Auchi Road, which has become almost inaccessible for motorists.
He said, “Beyond being a federal road, this is a road that takes and it is the economic lifeline of Edo State, this is the road that takes you from Benin through the longest span of the state to Edo North.

“What makes it sad is, it would have cost us a fraction of the amount if our call was heeded to two-three months ago by the federal government, you can see we are cut off as a state, and this is devastating for us, we are helpless.
“We just don’t see care here, nobody is concerned about this country.” He said.
