BeLikeNgoziChallenge takes centre stage as Nigerians celebrate new WTO DG

A myriad of Nigerians have taken to Twitter to celebrate the appointment of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (NOI), an ex-minister of finance, as the director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), with the #BeLikeNgoziChallenge hashtag

TheNewsGuru recalls that on Sunday, Temie Giwa-Tubosun, CEO of Lifebank, healthcare technology and logistics company, shared a video of herself dressed in traditional gear in the similitude of the ex-finance minister.

She thereafter asked other women to dress up like Okonjo-Iweala and send in messages of support as she awaited confirmation of her appointment.

Temie Giwa-Tubosun also said a hundred thousand naira will be awarded to the best dressed.

Ladies and gentlemen, it’s tomorrow! #NoiGoesToWTO! We are giving away N100k to the best dressed! Dress up like NOI and send her a message of support as she goes to WTO! #AnkaraArmy stand up,” she wrote.

The new WTO DG also responded, thanking the women for honouring her.
