Again, Osinbajo cancels trip to Ondo, apologises to Mimiko

Acting President Yemi Osinbajo has apologized to Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko for failing to visit the state for the second time.

Osinbajo was initially scheduled to make the trip last Friday, but had to abort it due to bad weather.

Recall the TheNewsGuru had earlier published a story that the event was rescheduled for yesterday, but it appeared the bad weather persisted and the trip has been cancelled completely.

Osinbajo’s Media Aide, Mr. Laolu Akande, has taken to Twitter to explain the circumstances that led to the cancellation and sent his apologies to Mimiko and people of the state.

“Weather conditions again prevents Ag. President Yemi Osinbajo’s scheduled visit to Akure today. Sincere apologies to the government and people of Ondo State”, the tweet simply stated.

Osinbajo was expected to commission some projects, including the multi-billion naira International Event Centre in Akure.

At about 3pm, Mimiko in company of Boroh and his political aides, personally commissioned the Dome after his guest failed to show up.
