Speculations are rife that the helicopter carrying the Iranian President and other top political figures, the state television has reported that there is “no sign of life” at the crash site.
International media, Associated Press and Reuters are quoting the head of the Red Crescent, Pir Hossein Kolivand as telling the state TV there was no sign of life at the scene.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that the helicopter carrying the Iranian president and Foreign Minister crashed across a steep valley and rescuers had yet to reach it, state media reported.
However, an Iranian official also told Reuters that the helicopter carrying the president was completely burnt and that expectations were low that he had survived the crash.
There has been no official statement from the Iranian government yet.
